“I love the smell of napalm in the morning.”

ReplyDeleteI'm not going to celebrate it .... but I'm damn sure not going to grieve it.
DeleteI went to the museum a few years ago, outstanding especially the Frank Hamer part
DeleteWe went there several years ago. Even the wife enjoyed the visit.
DeleteOne of his best roles, I think, was Hub in Secondhand Lions.
ReplyDeleteAgreed, Dave. I loved that movie. My other favorites are Lonesome Dove and Open Range. I imagine that I’ll get a hate comment, but I wasn’t a big fan of The Godfather … it was good but not one of my favorites.
DeleteLonesome Dove and Open Range stand out for mr as well and that's not such an easy decision considering all his other great roles.
ReplyDeleteYes sir, he was one of the great ones.
DeleteIn an article about Jesse Jackson entitled "Black Hope White Hope" by Jack Pekannen published in Life Magazine Nov. 21, 1969 the author relates how Jesse told of his days as a waiter at the Jack Tar Hotel in Greenville, SC and how he would spit in the white patrons food as he carried their meals from the kitchen.
ReplyDeleteAnd then smile as he served them.
I always though of Jesse Jackson as a piece of shit and nothing I have ever heard has made me have to rethink my position.
DeleteRobert Duvall was made a Honorary Texas Ranger by the State of Texas and had a Ranger Star and credentials.
ReplyDeleteAwesome. He was always a big advocate of law enforcement and from everything I've read, he loved Texas.
DeleteThanks for that info, Cederq.
