Professor of Cult, Deviant Behavior, Criminology Convicted in Starting Forest Fires in 2021. (Climate Change my ass.)
Who would have thought that a professor from a liberal college, who studies cults and deviant behavior, who is now claiming that he suffered from mental issues, and I don't know, but I'd be willing to wager that he has some involvement in climate bullshit and other radical social issues, tried to burn down California.
Gary Stephen Maynard, 49, a former university professor at Santa Clara University, Chapman University, and Sonoma State University, specialized in criminology, cults, and deviant behavior.
A former college professor who specialized in social deviancy was sentenced on Thursday to more than five years in prison for starting four fires in 2021, some of which threatened to trap firefighters as they responded to one of the largest wildfires in California history, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of California said.
Gary Stephen Maynard, 49, pleaded guilty in February to three counts of arson on federal property after he set fires behind crews battling the Dixie Fire, which became the second-biggest wildfire in California history, scorching more than 1,500 square miles and destroying more than 1,000 structures.
Maynard, of San Jose, admitted to starting four fires: the Cascade and Everitt fires on July 20 and 21, and the Ranch and Conard Fires on Aug. 7. He pleaded guilty to three as part of a plea deal and was jailed for 63 months in total. The fires were extinguished before they could destroy any buildings, according to prosecutors.
"Maynard went on an arson spree on federal land while California faced one of the worst fire seasons in history," U.S. Attorney Phillip Talbert announced.
"He intentionally made a dangerous situation more perilous by setting some of his fires behind the men and women fighting the Dixie fire, potentially cutting off any chance of escape. It is only because of the quick response by the U.S. Forest Service — and the actions of civilian witnesses — that those fires were extinguished as quickly as they were."
Forest Service agents started investigating Maynard on July 20 after the Cascade Fire was reported on the western slopes of Mount Shasta.
An investigator found Maynard underneath his black Kia Soul that had its front wheels stuck in a ditch and its undercarriage centered on a boulder, court papers said. He was living out of his vehicle at the time.
A second fire erupted the next day on Mount Shasta, and investigators later found tire tracks similar to those made by the Kia.
They eventually placed a tracking device under Maynard's car which confirmed he had traveled to the area where the Ranch and Conard Fires erupted in the Lassen National Forest.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael Anderson wrote in a detention memo that Maynard had entered the evacuation zone and "began setting fires behind the first responders fighting the Dixie Fire."
In sentencing memorandums, Maynard’s attorney said her client was suffering from untreated and significant mental health issues when he set the fires and has sought treatment since then.
Maynard was an adjunct faculty member at Santa Clara University from September 2019 to December 2020 and he had also taught criminology and sociology at Chapman and Sonoma State Universities, the New York Times reports, citing prosecutors. He specialized in criminal justice, cults and deviant behavior.
A Santa Clara University colleague of Maynard's told the police in October 2020 that Maynard was struggling with anxiety, depression, split personality and wanted to kill himself, the complaint said, per the New York Times.
Maynard was also sentenced to three years of supervised release and ordered to pay $13,081 in restitution as part of the plea agreement.
The Dixie Fire began on July 13, 2021, with fire eventually scorching the Plumas National Forest, Lassen National Forest and Butte, Lassen, Plumas and Tehama counties.
The fire cost more than $610 million over three months to bring it under control, the most expensive in California history, according to the head of Cal Fire.

'Snapped,' Throwing Menstrual Pads: The Tale of VP Harris' Brawling Secret Service Agent Just Got Weirder.
A Secret Service agent was removed from their assignment of protecting Vice President Kamala Harris and subsequently hospitalized, following what appeared to be a mental health incident at Joint Base Andrews on Monday.
As RedState previously reported:
Two sources familiar with the situation told CBS that the agent spoke nonsensically and incoherently. Additionally, the agent is reported to have engaged in a physical altercation with another officer. The sources claim that the agent had pushed the special agent in charge while they were near the lounge area of Joint Base Andrews. Real Clear Politics reported the agent began punching the special agent in charge after getting on top of him.
Now, the identity of the officer has been revealed, along with more details surrounding the strange situation. Michelle Herczeg was removed from her duties with the Secret Service on Wednesday. She was a former police officer with the Dallas Police Department and an Air Force veteran.
On Monday morning, Herczeg arrived at the base and began deleting apps from a male agent’s personal cell phone before becoming increasingly agitated. She then engaged in erratic behavior, such as mumbling to herself, hiding behind curtains, and throwing menstrual pads and other items at an agent, telling him that he would need them later to save another agent. Herczeg continued making alarming statements, such as the other agents were "going to burn in hell and needed to listen to God.”
Herczeg was heard screaming at the special agent in charge (SAIC), listing the names of female officers on the vice president’s detail and asserting that they would support her and enable her to continue working. When the SAIC attempted to relieve her of duty, as a witness told Real Clear Politics, "that's when she snapped entirely."
Herczeg allegedly became physically aggressive, chest-bumping, shoving, tackling, and punching the SAIC. This prompted intervention from other agents present, with a heightened alarm as Herczeg was armed, although her gun remained holstered. Agents wrestled her to the ground, disarmed her, cuffed her, and then escorted her out of the terminal.
DEI Concerns
In prior coverage, RedState noted that the agent had previously been a subject of distress by staff and that the hiring process, including allegedly "DEI" practices, raised concerns among officers in the Secret Service, per reporting from Real Clear Politics.
Herczeg previously filed a $1 million gender discrimination lawsuit against the city of Dallas in December 2016, alleging mistreatment due to her gender during her time as a police officer.
https://twitter.com/shortmagsmle/status/1783469669367546233
The lawsuit included claims of retaliation for reporting sexual assault and harassment, stating:
“…intimidation tactics were used as investigative tools to persuade Herczeg from seeking criminal relief against the officer who assaulted her.”
The suit also claimed she suffered, “stress and mental anguish from loss in payment compensation.” Herczeg's lawsuit and appeals were dismissed by Texas courts.
As this is a developing story, RedState will bring you updates as they become available.

Trans woman left sobbing in JFK Airport after TSA agent hit her [sic] testicles.
ROFLMOAO
By Patrick Reilly - Updated March 27, 2023, 9:04 a.m. ET
(Yeah, this article is a year old, but isn’t it sweet when you can go back and read this stuff and you still get a really good laugh out of it?)
A transgender woman was left in tears at JFK Airport after she [sic] claimed a TSA agent punched her [sic] in the testicles while she [sic] was going through security, the Daily Mail reported.
The unidentified flyer took to social media to vent about the incident, in which she (sic) said the agent “humiliated” her [sic] in front of everyone in a series of posts that have since been deleted, according to the outlet.
“hi so a tsa agent at jfk airport punched me in the genitalia, yelled at me for having a penis (?) and humiliated me in front of everyone after i told her to please stop,”
She [sic] captioned a photo of her [sic] crying in the airport bathroom, according to a screenshot of the post.
But the embarrassment didn’t stop there, according to the woman. [sic]
“[The TSA agent] followed me into the women’s bathroom and began talking about me to a coworker while I sobbed in a stall,” she wrote, asking friends on the internet for advice as to what she should do.
In a follow-up post, she [sic] said she [sic] was left crying for over an hour and said “my balls still hurt so bad,” according to a screenshot from the Daily Mail.
She [sic] does not want the TSA agent to be fired, she [sic] said in a separate post, but wanted “her educated and the entirety of tsa abolished altogether.”
In response to the woman’s [sic] posts, JFK Airport apologized for the incident.
“We apologize again for your experience,” the airport tweeted in response, according to the Daily Mail. “Your comments have been noted and shared.”

Nearly 45% Of Trans-Identifying People Had ‘Serious Psychological Distress’ In Last Month, Survey Finds.
Nearly a third had also been homeless.
Close to half of the trans-identifying people polled in a recently released U.S. survey reported having “serious psychological distress” in the previous month.
About 44% of those surveyed said they had experienced serious psychological distress in the last 30 days, according to the U.S. Transgender Survey from the National Center for Transgender Equality, which was conducted in 2022 from October 19 through December 5.
Nearly a third had also been homeless at some point, a preliminary analysis of the survey’s findings released Wednesday revealed.
The survey, which says it is the largest of trans-identifying people in the country to date, polled 92,329 people who identify as transgender or non-binary, including more than 7,000 teens who were 16 and 17, although most of the questions did not include the minors.
For several reasons, the survey cannot be taken to be representative of the U.S. trans-identifying population as a whole. One issue is that it did not poll a random sample, and another is that it skews young — 43% of the adults polled were age 24 or younger.
The study included significantly more biological women than men — 55% were women and 43% were men. Another 2% identified as crossdressers.
About 35% were biological men who identified as women, and 25% were biological women who identified as men. Other than the tiny percentage of crossdressers, the rest identified as non-binary, making that the biggest group at 38%.
The large number of non-binary identities was driven by women. Only 8% were men who identified as non-binary, while 30% were women who identified as such.
The study reported that the vast majority of people, 94%, who lived at least some of their time as their new gender identity, said they were more satisfied with life. Meanwhile, 98% of people who were currently receiving hormone treatments and 97% of people who had received gender surgery said the medical interventions made them more satisfied with life.
However, critics quickly questioned these conclusions, noting that detransitioners, people who identified as transgender but no longer do, were not included.
“This survey examined those who *currently identify as trans* and who sought to participate in a study about that! Detransitioners were definitionally excluded,” journalist Jesse Singal posted on X.
Studies have shown that it can take several years for people to regret their gender transitions. One 2022 study found that 30% of more than 950 teens had stopped taking cross-sex hormones after four years.
Among the survey’s teen respondents, 44% reported that their families were supportive of their new gender identities.
Among the adult respondents, nearly a third said they had been homeless at one point, more than a third said they were in poverty, and the unemployment rate among respondents was 18%.
The full report on the survey’s 600 questions is expected later this year.

(The last sentence in this article is the most relevant part of the whole article. All this fanatical bullshit over what is, at most, .7 or .8% of the entire population of the US? We are destroying a large part of what America stands for for a very small population of freaks ... WTF !!!)
‘Gender Dysphoria’ Diagnoses Rise In Every State Except One.
Diagnoses of “gender dysphoria” rose in every state except one over the last several years.
South Dakota was the only state that did not see a rise in gender dysphoria diagnoses between 2018 and 2022, according to new data from Definitive Healthcare.
In fact, South Dakota saw a 23% decrease in gender dysphoria diagnoses, while every other state saw their diagnoses rise by at least 6%.
Last year, South Dakota restricted transgender medical interventions for minors. At least 23 states have similar bans, but they are only currently in effect in 14 states.
South Dakota lawmakers also pushed for such a ban back in 2020, which likely had “the dual chilling effects of reduced access to sympathetic providers and the self-directed seeking of care in states where long-term access was protected,” Definitive Healthcare said.
Virginia saw the steepest rise in gender dysphoria diagnoses at 274%. Indiana was next with a 247% rise, and Utah was third at 193%.
Hawaii had the lowest increase with a 6% rise, followed by Connecticut with a 10% rise.
Other states with bans saw a drop in gender dysphoria diagnoses as well, suggesting that minors may previously have been the ones receiving these diagnoses but are now seeking transgender services elsewhere.
In recent years, many medical professionals have lent their full-throated support to minors receiving puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and in some cases, surgical transitions, which can mean double mastectomies and genital surgery.
Meanwhile, critics have sounded the alarm about the permanent effects of these treatments and procedures, especially on children.
The number of gender surgeries nearly tripled in the U.S. from 2016 to 2019, according to an August analysis published in JAMA Network Open. In 2016, there were about 4,550 procedures, and that number spiked to around 13,000 in 2019.
Hundreds of teen girls in the U.S., some as young as 12, have gotten elective, gender-related double mastectomies to remove their healthy breasts over the last few years.
Both puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones come with serious health risks. Puberty blockers can affect bone growth and density and cause sexual dysfunction, voice damage, and infertility, among other issues. Cross-sex hormones can cause infertility, deadly blood clots, heart attacks, increased cancer risks of the breasts and ovaries, liver dysfunction, worsening psychological illness, and other serious conditions.
Today, it is more popular than ever for youth to adopt new gender identities.
An estimated 300,000 minors aged 13 to 17 identified as transgender as of 2022, and the number has only continued to rise.
Back in 2018, minors made up 17.5% of those being diagnosed with gender dysphoria. By 2022, they made up 20.4% of those diagnoses, which the report suggests could be caused by transgender identities being “more accepted by society.”
Young people are now 18% if the trans-identifying population, up from 10% in 2016. Meanwhile, the percentage of trans-identifying adults has remained the same, previous research from The Williams Institute shows.
About 1.6 million Americans 13 and older now identify as transgender, about 0.5% of the total U.S. population, according to the Definitive Healthcare report.

Fortunately, where I live there are very few gender pretenders. So I don't ever have conversations with them or watch their interactions with normal people. But EVERY video clip, news story, YouTube short, or any other piece that features individuals with gender dysphoria, it seems that they all display some version of a major psychological issue that probably contributed to their perverted distorted appearance and attitude now. Here are just a few examples.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Upon being approached by members of a pro-Hamas organization at the U.S. Capitol, Florida Republican Sen. Marco Rubio delivered a scathing message on Hamas.
(We haven’t heard much from the libtard group, Codepinko, for a while so they decided to come out in support of a terrorist group, Hamas, and a anti-Semitic hate group, BDS, to try and gain back some liberal street cred and to make low I.Q. people think they might be relevant.)
A member of CODEPINK, wearing a hoodie that reads “GAZA” on the front, asked Rubio if he supports a ceasefire between Israel and the terrorist organization Hamas.
“No I will not – are you filming it?” Rubio said. “I want you guys to get this. I want them to destroy every element of Hamas they can get their hands on. These people are vicious animals who did horrifying crimes.”
“I hope you guys post that,” he told the CODEPINK member.
“What about the civilians that are killed every day,” the member replied.
“I blame Hamas,” Rubio said. “Hamas should stop hiding behind civilians, putting civilians in the way. Hamas knew that this was gonna lead to this. So, Hamas should stop building their military installations underneath hospitals.”
The CODEPINK member then accused Rubio of not caring “about the babies that are getting killed every day.”
“I care, I think it’s horrifying. I think it’s terrible, and I think Hamas is 100% to blame,” Rubio said. “That’s what I think. Make sure you post that, please.”
Rubio had called them “Hamas supporters” and posted an audio recording of the altercation earlier this week.
CODEPINK issued a response to Rubio’s comments, claiming Rubio only called them “Hamas supporters” because they “want to stop killing babies.”
“This conflict, Senator Rubio, did not start on October 7,” the member said. “It was preceded by decades of soul crushing oppression against Palestinians that you, and many other senators, have refused to acknowledge.”
She said that Israel won’t be able to “crush” Hamas because of the amount of Palestinians deciding to “take up arms” as a result of Israel’s military actions.
“There will never be peace in Israel until there is justice for Palestinians,” she said. “Make sure you post that.”
On CODEPINK’s website, the group says “Israel is committing war crimes” and has the phrase “free Palestine!” plastered on the front page, which colloquially refers to committing violence against Israel.
The group has a page dedicated to the Israel war, saying they “support Palestinians’ right to resist the violent occupation of Palestine.”
“We endorse the BDS movement,” the group’s site also states.

Florida bill bans pronoun requirements, penalties at the workplace.
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Rep. Ryan Chamberlin, R-Ocala, introduced a bill that would crack down on pronoun mandates and penalties in the workplace.
It would protect employees and contractors from penalization and punishment by employers if they are required to use, or refer to others with, certain titles and pronouns that don’t correspond with a person’s biological sex.
The bill, HB 599, also prevents non-profit organizations that receive state funding from requiring, as a condition of employment, any “training, instruction, or activity on sexual orientation.”
Additionally, the legislation bars employers from using “adverse personnel action” on the basis of “deeply held religious or biology-based beliefs.”
Adverse personnel actions in the bill include the reduction in salary, the withholding of bonuses, suspension, discharge or demotion.
The legislation reaffirmed that it is “unlawful” for an employer to take those actions if the employee holds “traditional or biblical views of sexuality and marriage.”
”It is the policy of the state that a person’s sex is an immutable biological trait and that it is false to ascribe to a person a pronoun that does not correspond to such person’s sex,” the bill read.
The legislature passed bills related to gender identity in the 2023 Legislative Session.
HB 1069 prohibits a school from requiring that an employee or student, as a condition of employment or enrollment or participation in any program, refer to another person by a pronoun that does not correspond to that person’s sex.

The Genitals Of Tomorrow
Are you ready for a “genderqueer planet”? Of course you are. And obviously, you have questions.
Thank goodness a teacher walks among us, a guide to what lies ahead. Meet Laura (formerly Lawrence) Jacobs, a man who describes himself as “trans and genderqueer-identified, kinky and non-monogamous,” and a “lesbian” with “multiple intersecting identities.” And – because the universe has a sense of humour – a psychotherapist. (https://www.lauraajacobs.com/)
When not offering his expertise to prostitutes and “unicorns,” and devotees of polyamory and nipple clamps, Mr Jacobs shares his feverish visions with those less enlightened:
Will technology give us options that are artistic and creative? Do we have to stick to penis and vagina norms? Can we have genitalia that look like flowers? Or abstract sculpture?
It’s all terribly exciting:
https://twitter.com/Jonnywsbell/status/1716891049388626143
Readers with a taste for “empowered acts of self-creation,” and an unstable sense of self, will find much to chew on. The promise of wonders as yet unimagined. Because those bizarre, prosthetic pseudo-genitals will be “valid and valued.” And crowds will surely come.
Though given the limitations of current technology, as illustrated vividly here, you may have to wait a while. (You don’t want to follow the link found at the original article. Take my word on that …)
Still, while you look forward to all those below-the-belt upgrades, you could always book a Zoom session and whet that appetite. You see, Mr Jacobs is more than a mere psychotherapist. He’s a full-on guru, practically a messiah:
Tolerate us? Accept us? You should revere us. We’re confronting boundaries and deconstructing assumptions made by history and society. We are evolving gender into something wondrous. We hope the world will learn from our wisdom.
Yes, those repeatedly mutilated novelty genitals – the ones that, if you squint, look like flowers or abstract sculpture – will light the way.
Batteries not included.

Vegan Influencer Reportedly Dies of Starvation.
(It’s a huge shame, if you look at her from the neck up she was a fine looking woman. But veganism and common sense are not usually found holding hands.)
At first you might want to burst out laughing at the damage moonbats inflict on themselves. But then the senselessness of the tragedy sinks in:
Vegan influencer Zhanna Samsonova has reportedly “died of starvation” after subsisting exclusively off a diet of exotic fruit in Malaysia, according to her friends and family. …
The Russian national — who frequently promoted raw foods on social media where she was known to her millions of viewers on TikTok, Facebook and Instagram as Zhanna D’Art — reportedly died July 21 after finally seeking medical treatment during a tour in Southeast Asia, according to local media outlet reports. …
[A] friend claimed that for the last seven years, Samsonova had only eaten the giant, sweet jackfruit and durian, a spiky, mace-like fruit known for its custardy meat and noxious odor.
A proponent of uncooked herbivorous fare, the Kasan native claimed she ate a “completely raw vegan diet” for the last four years, consuming just “fruits, sunflower seed sprouts, fruit smoothies, and juices.”
She used social media to spread her raw diet doctrine, describing: “I eat simple food, although I have a lot of experience as a raw food chef. I love creating my own recipes and inspiring people to eat healthier.”
Unfortunately, her friends believe her so-called healthy food choices were to blame for her death.
“You don’t need to be a doctor to understand where this will lead,” said one pal of her all-durian and jack fruit diet.
While a raw foods diet can have multiple health benefits — including weight loss, improved heart health and a lower risk of diabetes — there are downsides to this regimen, especially when not well planned, according to Healthline.
These include deficiencies in calcium and Vitamin D, which are needed for strong bones.
This can also lead to suboptimal B12 levels, which can result in anemia, nervous system damage, infertility, and, somewhat paradoxically, heart disease.
A study published earlier this month in the Journal of Nutrition found that 100% of participants on a raw vegan diet ingested less than the recommended 2.4 mcg of vitamin B12 per day.
If only a good Samaritan had force-fed her bacon cheeseburgers, a life might have been saved.
An autopsy will confirm that she died of starvation. Sure looks like she might have.
Samsonova wouldn’t be the first to starve to death from a raw foods diet.
At least Zhanna D’Art’s demise was self-imposed:
Last year, vegan Florida mother Sheila O’Leary, 38, was sentenced to life in prison after starving her 18-month-old son to death by feeding him only small amounts of fruits and vegetables.
Next time they update the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, they ought to list veganism as a psychiatric illness. Humans were meant to eat meat, as you can tell by looking at our teeth.
“I see my body and mind transform every day,” Samsonova chirped as she led others down her path. “I love my new me.”
As with transsexuals, the first step toward health is a willingness to work with what you actually are.

Yeah, I know this is fake BUT IT DOES realistically reflect the amount of faith that I think you should put in ANYONE of the Muslim 'fa...
