The Boy Scouts And The Department Of War

I was in the Boy Scouts for many years and it was a great experience. Our Scout Master was a fairly influential man in this area and he carried us on so many camping trips and also trips to quite a few State and National Parks. He used his own money to purchase a used school bus and we made it into our troop bus. He also shared the use of it for several school events and for day outings for the Cub Scout troop. I was an assistant Cub Scout leader for several years after that and tried to help them enjoy the same level of scouting we had in my Boy Scout Troop.

Years later I heard several rumors of problems with the leadership and some parents within the Scouts and I hoped they weren't true. But over the years it became apparent that there were some serious problems. Then when I heard they were letting the gay and lesbian groups infiltrate, I knew the Scouts as I knew them were gone. And then all the sexual lawsuits. And then they lied and said everything was corrected and right after that they started allowing girls and 'gender-confused' kids and freak Scoutmasters and leaders. Then it was no longer the Boy Scouts and it became Scouting America.

It is a tremendous shame. An abomination to a once great organization.

US Military Could Cut Ties With Scouts: What We Know

The U.S. military could be preparing to sever ties with the Scouts, according to a leaked Pentagon memo.
U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth wants to bring an end to the centuries-old partnership between the military and Scouting America because he believes the organization has developed a tendency to "attack boy-friendly spaces," according to documents viewed by NPR.
A Department of Defense official told Newsweek: "The Department will not comment on leaked documents that we cannot authenticate and that may be pre-decisional."

The U.S. military's relationship with Scouting America (formerly Boy Scouts of America) is a long-standing association that has influenced youth leadership training and military recruitment.
The possible break stems from new policy directions within both organizations relating to inclusion, diversity and shifting values, raising questions about the military's approach to civic engagement and youth development at a time when both national security considerations and recruitment remain top priorities.
What To Know
Documents obtained and reviewed by NPR indicate that Hegseth is advancing plans to end all Defense Department ties with Scouting America, citing misalignment with traditional military values.
In a draft memo to Congress, not yet sent, Hegseth is reported to have criticized Scouting America for becoming "genderless" and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts, arguing that Scouting America has shifted away from a "meritocracy which holds its members accountable to meet high standards."

 
The Department of Defense has supported the Scouts in various ways since formalizing assistance in 1937, including providing medical and logistical aid to the National Jamboree and allowing Scouts to meet on military installations.
However, under Hegseth’s proposal, these supports, along with recruitment advantages for Eagle Scouts and the use of military resources at Scouting events, would end.
The draft documents reveal concerns about the Jamboree, which attracts up to 20,000 scouts to a remote Virginia site, suggesting that sending personnel and equipment to support it would divert resources from border operations and protecting U.S. territory at a time of international security challenges and limited budgets.
A source familiar with the Pentagon documents told NPR the memo was prepared to notify Congress but stressed it had not yet been formally delivered.

Scouting America: "Scouting is and has always been a nonpartisan organization…Over more than a century, we’ve worked constructively with every U.S. presidential administration—Democratic and Republican—focusing on our common goal of building future leaders grounded in integrity, responsibility, and community service."
 
What Happens Next
The move could disrupt not only the Scouts’ annual Jamboree but the broader pipeline of service-minded youth entering the U.S. armed forces. Planning for next summer’s Jamboree continues, but without clarity—uncertainty hangs over whether military support and access to installations will persist or cease by directive.
The Pentagon said it is reviewing all partnerships to ensure they "align with the president's agenda and advance our mission."
Congress could weigh in, given its legislative oversight and the statutory requirements around military support for scouting events.

 Boy Scouts of America rebranding to more inclusive Scouting America.

(Anytime the word "inclusive" is involved, you can be sure there is no morality included.)

IRVING, Texas (AP) — The Boy Scouts of America is changing its name for the first time in its 114-year history and will become Scouting America. It’s a significant shift as the organization emerges from bankruptcy following a flood of sexual abuse claims and seeks to focus on inclusion.
The organization steeped in tradition has made seismic changes after decades of turmoil, from finally allowing gay youth to welcoming girls throughout its ranks. With an eye on increasing flagging membership numbers, the Irving, Texas-based organization announced the name change Tuesday at its annual meeting in Florida.
“In the next 100 years we want any youth in America to feel very, very welcome to come into our programs,” Roger Krone, who took over last fall as president and chief executive officer, said in an interview before the announcement.
The organization began allowing gay youth in 2013 and ended a blanket ban on gay adult leaders in 2015. In 2017, it made the historic announcement that girls would be accepted as Cub Scouts as of 2018 and into the flagship Boy Scout program — renamed Scouts BSA — in 2019.
The Boy Scouts’ $2.4 billion bankruptcy reorganization plan took effect last year, allowing the organization to keep operating while compensating the more than 80,000 men who say they were sexually abused as children while scouting.

 

 

The Washington Post featured a big story recently about the 2023 Boy Scouts National Jamboree, which concluded last week, and how the event has changed over the years.
The Post was particularly impressed by how “inclusive” the Scouts have become, noting a tent decorated with “LGBTQ Pride flags … its tables covered with bowls of rainbow bracelets, pronoun stickers and diversity patches.”
Several paragraphs into the story, the Post admits that attendance at this year’s jamboree is less than half of what it was at the last national jamboree in 2017.
The organization is a shell of its former self.  Its membership numbers plummeted as the left destroyed the group, which once encouraged boys and young men to be “morally straight.”
For years, it was bedeviled by sexual abuse cases involving homosexual scoutmasters.  A massive settlement drove the Boy Scouts into bankruptcy.  Now, it’s completely caved to the left by accepting girls and transgendered scouts.

WaPo Celebrates Complete Homosexualization of Boy Scouts

Nothing was more wholesome and all-American than the Boy Scouts of America. So moonbats infiltrated and corrupted the organization. Because children are involved, the emphasis has been on perverted sex, in keeping with liberal proclivities.
Gushes the Washington Post:
“Amid the hundreds of tents erected for the Boy Scouts of America’s National Jamboree, one especially stands out — decorated with a canopy of LGBTQ Pride flags and a string of multicolored lights, its tables covered with bowls of rainbow bracelets, pronoun stickers and diversity patches.
“This is my entire world,” said 18-year-old River Capell, a scout volunteer from Northern Virginia who describes themselves as nonbinary and pansexual.”
River says the embrace of politicized sexual depravity by the BSA has been “incredibly welcoming and positive.”
Now that only a liberal would be willing to send their son out into the woods with these creeps, the BSA can be added to the list of institutions that have fallen to progressives.
The triumphant obituary was written by “queer journalist” Mike De Socio, who essentially admits that his fellow homosexuals have destroyed the BSA:
“The organization lost nearly half of its membership between 2019 and 2020. This national event represents one of its first steps out of a generational nadir brought about by the pandemic, a sexual abuse scandal and an ensuing bankruptcy.
The BSA had barely resolved its struggle over membership policies — fully admitting gay men in 2015 and trans boys in 2017, and then cisgender girls in 2018 — before facing an avalanche of sexual abuse claims.”
The BSA was crushed by a $2.46 billion settlement. Submitting to LGBT bullies comes at a price.
All’s well that ends well. As every Democrat knows, you have to destroy before you can replace:
“Scouts within the ranks [i.e., leftist adults who had infiltrated the organization in order to subvert it] seized the moment to press for a focus on diversity, equity and inclusion. A collective dubbed “Scouts for Black Lives” successfully pushed the organization to commit to a slate of projects, including a new diversity merit badge required for Eagle Scout rank.”
No word on whether you can still achieve Eagle Scout status without an anal sex merit badge.
The BSA has been repurposed. It now serves to indoctrinate children with woke ideology and groom them on behalf of the Alphabet People. You may as well turn your son over to NAMBLA.
