U.S. Forces Take Out Top ISIS Leader In Syria

American forces killed a senior ISIS leader and two of his adult sons in Syria early Friday morning, the U.S. military announced.
U.S. Central Command said that senior ISIS leader Dhiya’ Zawba Muslih al-Hardani was killed during a raid in al-Bab, Syria. All-Hardani “posed a threat” to American and coalition forces as well as the new Syrian government, CENTCOM said.
“We will continue to relentlessly pursue ISIS terrorists wherever they operate. ISIS terrorists are not safe where they sleep, where they operate, and where they hide,” said CENTCOM Commander Gen. Michael Erik Kurilla. “Alongside our partners and allies, U.S. Central Command is committed to the enduring defeat of ISIS terrorists that threaten the region, our allies, and our homeland.”
Two of al-Hardani’s adult sons, Abdallah Dhiya and Abd al-Rahman Dhiya Zawba, were killed in the raid. CENTCOM said that both were affiliated with ISIS. Three women and three children present at the location were unharmed.
There were no American casualties during the raid, which took place about 29 miles northwest of Aleppo.
In recent months, the Trump administration shifted American policy on Syria, dropping sanctions and moving to relax export restrictions. The move came as President Donald Trump has been friendly with Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa, who overthrew Bashar al-Assad in December 2024.
During a May meeting with al-Sharaa, Trump called him a “young, attractive guy. Tough guy. Strong past. Very strong past. Fighter.”
Al-Sharaa, who has portrayed himself as a moderate, has previously been tied to various terrorist groups like Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and Al-Qaeda. Trump pushed him during their meeting to help the United States target ISIS.
In recent days, the Trump administration has also pressed al-Sharaa to crack down on terror groups attacking religious minorities in the country.
U.S. forces have continued to target ISIS operatives throughout the Middle East. In March, an American strike took out Abu Khadijah, a top ISIS leader who was hiding in Iraq. Khadijah was the chief of global operations and the delegated committee emir for ISIS and, officially, the second-in-command for the Islamic terrorist organization.

Alligator Kills 61 Y/O Woman In Lake Kissimmee

A 61-year-old Davenport woman, Cynthia Diekema, was killed Tuesday, May 6, while canoeing with her husband at Lake Kissimmee State Park.
According to FWC officials, while in water that was about 2 1/2 feet deep, the couple’s canoe passed over a large alligator, prompting it to thrash and capsize the canoe, throwing the couple into the water.
Wildlife officials believe the gator's thrash was "defensive" and do not believe the gator was provoked by the couple.
"This was not believed to be a predatory incident, but just simply an incident, of a defensive incident where they came upon the alligator, beneath the water's edge," FWC Public Information Officer Bradley Johnson said. "And when the canoe struck it, it caused a reaction."
The woman reportedly landed on top of the alligator and was bitten. She was later found dead.
Her body was spotted from a helicopter, an FWC official said.
The woman was killed on Lake Kissimmee, near the mouth of Tiger Creek, officials said.
The Florida Fish and Wildfire Conservation Commission lists Lake Kissimmee as a Florida lake with the second highest population of alligators in the state.
This is the 27th recorded fatal alligator attack in Florida since 1948.

Black Bear Kills Elderly Collier Man And His Dog

JEROME, Fla. - The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) says Robert Markel, an 89-year-old man, and his dog were killed by a bear on Monday, marking the first deadly bear attack in the state since records have been kept.
Authorities say Robert Markel was outside with his dog near the Big Cypress Wildlife Management Area in Collier County early Monday when the attack happened.
Markel's daughter told investigators that she saw a bear attack her father's dog, then realized that her dad was nowhere to be found. She then found his body just hundreds of yards away.
"We do know it was a bear attack. We don't know if it was the same bear or multiple bears," FWC spokesperson George Reynaud said.
After deploying four live bear traps, authorities say three bears were killed and their DNA samples have been sent to Gainesville for testing.
There are about 750,000 black bears in North America, but attacks on humans are rare, with black bears killing less than one person per year on average.
About 4,000 black bears live in Florida, according to wildlife officials.
Monday's deadly bear attack is the first in Florida since FWC began tracking bear encounters.
There have now been at least two bear attacks in Florida since last week. A woman in Sanford was attacked outside her home while walking her dog, and said she used a bag of cookies as a distraction to get to safety.

St. Louis Woman Twerking On Roof Of Cadillac Slips Off, Run Over By A Fire Truck

A St. Louis woman was killed on Saturday night after she slid off the roof of a Cadillac Escalade while twerking and was run over by a St. Louis fire truck heading to an emergency.
The woman, identified as Nyla Simmons, was killed at the intersection of South Compton and Chouteau around 11:30 PM.
Nila slid off the roof when the Escalade turned left. She hit the cement and was then run over by the fire truck.

The St. Louis Metropolitan Police released this statement on Sunday morning.

Indian Man Killed By His Own Rooster During Illegal Cockfight.

A man who tied a knife to the leg of his rooster for an illegal cockfight was killed after the bird panicked and stabbed him in the groin, police in Lothunur village in Telangana state, India, said Sunday.
Thangulla Satish, 45, attached a 3-inch blade to the rooster’s leg, which is standard practice to prepare the birds for the brutal sport. The bird fluttered and the knife hit Satish in the leg, causing massive blood loss. He died on the way to the hospital, officials reported.
Thousands of roosters die every year in underground fights. Bets are taken on which of the two roosters will win, “often under the watch of powerful, local politicians with big-money bets,” the New York Post reported.
Injuries to humans from the fighting roosters happen fairly regularly. The Daily Mail reported recent incidents in India, including previous injuries and also deaths:
Last month a spectator was killed when a razor blade attached to an escaping bird cut his stomach.
Last year, a man was killed when a blade attached to his bird’s leg hit him in the neck during a cockfight in Andhra Pradesh.
In 2010, a rooster killed its owner by slashing his jugular vein in West Bengal state.
The rooster was not hurt, and police said they will keep it until it can be moved to a farm. Police also said they were looking to arrest 16 people involved in organizing the illegal fight,
India banned cockfights in 1960, however, they continue in some of the southern states, and can attract hundreds of spectators.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced Thursday that it had killed a Hamas commander who led the attack on dozens of civilians on October 7, 2023, who had fled the Nova music festival and hidden in roadside shelters.
In addition to being a mass murderer, the IDF said, Mohammad Abu Itiwi had also worked for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA).
The IDF and Israel Security Agency (ISA, or Shabak, or Shin Bet) said in a statement:
Yesterday (Wednesday), in a joint IDF and ISA operation, the IAF struck and eliminated the terrorist Mohammad Abu Itiwi, a Nukhba commander in the Al Bureij Battalion of Hamas’ Central Camps Brigade. Mohammad Abu Itiwi has also been employed by UNRWA since July 2022.
On October 7th, Mohammad Abu Itiwi was involved in the murder and abduction of Israeli civilians. Abu Itiwi led the murderous attack on the bomb shelter on Route 232 in the area of Re’im in southern Israel.
Throughout the war, Abu Itiwi directed and carried out numerous attacks on IDF troops operating in the Gaza Strip.
Following the incident, representatives of COGAT solicited clarifications from senior officials in the UN and international community and requested an urgent investigation into the involvement of UNRWA employees in the October 7th Massacre.
The IDF also provided documentation with evidence that Mohammed Abu Itiwi had been employed by UNRWA.
The shelters were the scenes of some of the most brutal murders on October 7. Many such shelters, made of concrete, stand alongside bus stops in southern Israel, due to the threat of rocket fire that existed for years before October 7.
Hundreds of young people escaping the attack on the Nova festival instinctively ran to the shelters — and that is where Hamas chased them, throwing grenades into the shelters and spraying AK-47 machine gun fire into them.
There were very few survivors; those who did survive were often kidnapped, and held as hostages by Hamas in Gaza.

 IDF kills Wassem Hazem, head of Hamas in Jenin.

Wassem Hazem, head of the Hamas terror organization in the West Bank area of Jenin, was killed on Friday in a joint IDF, ISA, and Israel Border Police counterterrorism operation in the northern Samaria area, Israel’s military announced shortly afterward.
Hazem was killed in his vehicle after an exchange of fire during the joint operation. His role in the terror group involved carrying out and directing shooting and bombing attacks.
Hazem continuously advanced terrorist activities in the Judea and Samaria area, the IDF added.
Following the elimination of Hazem, two additional terrorists, Maysara Masharqa and Arafat Amer, who were in the vehicle with him, attempted to flee the scene. However, shortly afterward, they were also killed by an IDF aircraft.

UPDATE: Hezbollah rocket of Iranian production kills 12 children in Majdal Shams, dozens wounded in deadly playground strike.

Following a direct hit in the area of Majdal Shams, a large Druze town, on Saturday evening, twelve were killed, among them children and teenagers between the ages of 10 and 20. At least 19 were wounded to varying degrees, including six seriously injured, three moderately, and 10 lightly injured, including those suffering from anxiety attacks.
They were transported to hospitals by Magen David Adom teams and IDF helicopters, MDA said in a statement. Following the direct hit in Majdal Shams, about 100 doses and blood components were provided to hospitals, MDA stated. MDA has asked the public to donate blood during the week.
The rocket hit a soccer field near a playground.
IDF Spokesperson R-adm. Daniel Hagari said early Sunday that the rocket which was fired at Majdal Shams was a Falaq 1 rocket of Iranian production whose warhead carries over 50 kilos of explosives. Hagari stated such a rocket is only in the hands of Hezbollah, adding the terror group had “carried out the launch from the Chebaa area in Lebanon.”
Hagari also named the Hezbollah commander who guided the fire as “Ali Muhammad Yihye.”

(NY Post) The Biden administration is extremely worried Hezbollah’s rocket attack on Golan Heights Saturday that killed at least 12 and wounded dozens of others could “trigger” a full-scale war between Israel and the Iran-backed terror group, according to a report.
US officials are fretting that without a cease-fire between Israel and Hamas terrorists over the ongoing fighting in Gaza, a war between the Jewish state and Iran-backed Hezbollah is becoming more likely — which will fuel the regional crisis and drag the United States even further into the ongoing conflict, Axios reported.
“What happened today could be the trigger we have been worried about and tried to avoid for 10 months,” one American official told the outlet.
Well, they’re not worried officially, as there has been no actual statement. Perhaps if the Biden regime had been more forceful in defending our allies in Israel against radical, terrorist Islam Hezbollah wouldn’t have gotten frisky. It’s not like it and Hamas aren’t on the US State Department list of terrorist organizations or something. But, then, it seems that the Biden admin has been working hard to get big wars going.
Foreign Minister Israel Katz discussed the deadly attack with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and declared that “Hezbollah crossed all red lines” and the Jewish state was now “facing an all-out war” with the Lebanese terrorists.
After receiving word of Hezbollah’s attack, Netanyahu rushed back to Israel from Washington, DC, moving his flight up by three and a half hours.
In a video statement, the prime minister said he would not let the attack “pass in silence.”
Netanyahu added: “We embrace the families, embrace the entire Druze community in its difficult time, which is also our difficult time.”
Up to 40 people were reported injured in the attack, with a handful listed in critical condition.
The White House did not immediately issue a statement.

As Breitbart News noted earlier Wednesday, Fadi Al-Wadiya was killed in an Israeli airstrike on Tuesday. He was a senior member of the Iranian-backed terror group, responsible for directing rocket attacks against Israeli civilians.
