But the claim that pros like Johnny Carson and Jay Leno never touched on politics is wrong. They did hit and run type comedy and they hit both sides equally from everything I can remember. But they did JOKES and then went on to something else, they didn't get TDS style political.

I had to google late night talk show hosts to get the names of two of these guys. I knew Colbert because of the recent firing. Luckily, Kimmel sucks so bad he has to have his name on the desk so people know who he is but the only time I've heard him say anything was when he said something really stupid and they conservatives pointed it out. And the others, Fallon and Myers, I've heard the names and seen the faces but I wouldn't have been able to connect them without the internet and I've never watched 'em.
