A substitute teacher in Frederick County, MD discovered a student reading a book about incest rape that is available in the school’s media center.

The book, called “Push,” includes details of a father raping his daughter. The teacher brought the book to a recent school board meeting and read it for board members.

“I was shocked to hear the committee approved this book. What is the FCPS position on porn in our schools? Is FCPS saying yes to porn in our schools?” the teacher asked.

“Remove this book ‘Push’ or it will set a precedent for other pornographic books to be allowed into our schools,” she demanded.

Former State Department Budget Analyst Pleads Guilty To Embezzling More Than $650,000

WASHINGTON – Levita Almuete Ferrer, 64, of Montgomery Village, Maryland, pleaded guilty today to embezzling more than $650,000 from the U.S. State Department over a two-year period.
The guilty plea was announced by U.S. Attorney Edward R. Martin Jr., Special Agent in Charge Benjamin Brockschmidt of the U.S. Department of State’s Office of Inspector General, and Deputy Assistant Director William Ferrari of the State Department’s Diplomatic Security Service Office of Special Investigations.
As part of her guilty plea, Ferrer, who is also known as Levita Brezovic, admitted that she abused her signature authority over a State Department checking account between March 2022 and April 2024 while working as a Senior Budget Analyst in the State Department’s Office of the Chief of Protocol. She issued 60 checks payable to herself and three checks payable to another individual with whom she had a personal relationship. She printed and signed each check and then deposited all 63 checks, which totaled $657,347.50, into her personal checking and savings accounts.
Ferrer attempted to conceal her scheme by using a common Quickbooks account at the State Department. After entering her name as the payee on checks in Quickbooks and then printing them, she often changed the listed payee in Quickbooks from herself to an actual State Department vendor. As a result, anyone viewing those entries in the Quickbooks system did not see Ferrer’s name as the payee on the checks unless they accessed an audit trail.
U.S. District Judge Christopher R. Cooper accepted Ferrer’s guilty plea to theft of government property and set a sentencing date for September 18, 2025. Ferrer faces a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison. Judge Cooper will determine any sentence after considering the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.
As part of her plea agreement, Ferrer agreed to pay $657,347.50 in restitution to the U.S. government. She also agreed to be liable for a forfeiture money judgment in that same amount.

Hartford County, Maryland, police announced on Saturday that an illegal alien from El Salvador was responsible for the violent rape and murder of an area mother of five. Victor Martinez-Hernandez was arrested late Friday night and booked on Saturday morning.

Five hours after meeting with [Morin's] family and just before midnight our time, police in Tulsa, Oklahoma assisted by our federal partners, located and arrested Rachel's murderer: Victor Antonio Martinez-Hernandez.
We all suspected that Rachel was not his first victim. It is my understanding that this suspect, this monster, fled to the United States illegally after committing the brutal murder of a young woman in El Salvador a month earlier, in January of 2023.

Morin, 37, again, a mother of five, was reported missing in August by her boyfriend, who told law enforcement authorities she didn't return after going out for a run on Aug. 5, 2023, a pedestrian trail in Bel Air, "a quiet and typically safe town about 28 miles northeast of Baltimore." Her body was found on the trail the following day.

At least 20 people in seven vehicles are believed to be missing, according to authorities.
The same vessel that collapsed a major bridge in Baltimore Tuesday was also involved in a collision while leaving the Port of Antwerp, Belgium in 2016.
Port authorities confirmed to CNN that the Dali cargo ship was also involved in an "incident" in Belgium in 2016.
According to the maritime incident archive Shipwrecklog, the Dali was attempting to leave the container terminal to head to Bremerhaven when its bow reportedly swung around, causing the stern to scrape the side of the quay and damaging several meters of the hull.
Officials in Singapore, where the ship is from, said there were 22 crew members aboard the Dali at the time of the fiery crash.
The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore says it is working with the US Coast Guard following the incident.
Flight restrictions have been put in place around the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore following the bridge's collapse Tuesday, the Federal Aviation Administration said.
No pilots are allowed to operate an aircraft within the affected area, which spans about 5 nautical miles, officials said.
The container ship that crashed into a vital Maryland bridge early Tuesday "lost control" as it was leaving port and warned state officials of a possible collision, security officials said in an unclassified report.
The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency report said the vessel, the Dali, had "lost propulsion" and officials in Maryland were notified about the situation, according to ABC News.
"The vessel notified MD Department of Transportation (MDOT) that they had lost control of the vessel and an collision with the bridge was possible," the report said. "The vessel struck the bridge causing a complete collapse."
A frightening video shared on X appears to show that the Dali had lost power twice moments before crashing into one of the bridge's supports.
As the ship approaches the bridge, the video shows its light dim and come back twice before the ship collides with the bridge and goes up in smoke.
Sonar has found vehicles submerged in the water under the Francis Scott Key Bridge, Baltimore Fire Chief James Wallace said Tuesday.
"Our sonar has detected the presence of vehicles submerged in the water," Wallace said during an early morning news conference. "I don't have a count of that yet."

EcoMap Technologies CEO Pava Marie LaPere, a self-described “anti-racist” and Black Lives Matter supporter who spoke out against the “criminalization of Black bodies,” was allegedly beaten to death in her own home in Baltimore on Monday by a black male who was released early from prison under the criminal justice reform policies she championed.

A murder suspect labeled by police as willing to "do anything he can to cause harm" is the target of an all-out search after a 26-year-old software development company founder was found slain at her Baltimore apartment.
Baltimore Police said Pava Marie LaPere was found around 11:30 a.m. after someone called for help. She died from blunt-force trauma.
Authorities announced an arrest warrant at a news conference Tuesday afternoon for Jason Dean Billingsley, 32. He is charged with first-degree murder in LaPere's killing.
Officials said Billingsley is believed to be armed and extremely dangerous.
"We implore residents to be aware of your surroundings at all times," Acting Police Commissioner Richard Worley said at a news conference. "This individual will kill, and he will rape. He will do anything he can to cause harm."
In 2015, Billingsley was sentenced to 30 years in prison, with 16 years suspended, after he pleaded guilty to a first-degree sex offense, court records show.
The Maryland sex offender registry shows he was released from prison in October [2022]. The registry classified him in "tier 3," which includes the most serious charges and requires offenders to register for life.
Billingsley was released early on "good-time credits" under Soros-funded State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby, the Baltimore Banner reports, citing parole commission Chairman David R. Blumberg.
The Banner also reported that "police found LaPere's partially clothed body with signs of blunt-force trauma on the roof of her apartment building in the 300 block of West Franklin Street in the Mount Vernon neighborhood late Monday morning, according to sources with knowledge of the investigation."
Though police are not stating it outright, the implication appears to be that she was raped in addition to murdered.
LaPere touted her anti-racist bonafides on her Instagram.
"EcoMap Technologies stand against systemic racism, bigotry, and a police state that criminalizes Black bodies," LaPere wrote. "We stand in support of the Black Lives Matter movement, now and always. We commit to being anti-racist in all aspects of what we do ... We encourage all other startups to speak out and do the same."
