At one point during the ceremonies, Biden appeared confused about whether he was supposed to remain standing or sit down, resulting in an awkward half-squat as he looked behind him to see where the chair might be. First lady Jill Biden, who quickly raised one hand in front of her mouth, seemed like she could be feeding him directions.
“At this point, these aren’t gaffes. These are serious issues of mental lapses. Why Democrats are doing this is beyond me,” Pradheep Shanker posted.
A short time later, first lady Jill Biden escorted the president away from the ceremonies while the French president and first lady remained behind, greeting the veterans in attendance — many of whom were over 100 years old.
“The drug cocktail team has done all it can do. The limits have been reached, and they aren’t pretty,” RedState’s Bonchie posted.
“The vets look more with it than Biden,” Ben Domenech added.
Several of Biden’s defenders jumped in to claim that it was not a big deal because Biden had previously greeted some of the veterans who attended the ceremonies – but other video clips later surfaced of him looking equally lost when he was taken to visit Omaha Beach, the beachhead that saw the greatest number of casualties on D-Day.

First Lady Jill Biden's efforts at spreading some Christmas joy have been met with derision and astonishment from many who have labeled her celebratory video as 'bizarre' 'freaky' and 'absolute garbage.'
The video, posted by Dr. Biden on Wednesday, shows members of a New York City-based dance troupe, Dorrance Dancers, doing a tapdancing 'playful' interpretation of The Nutcracker Suite through the halls of the White House.
The group are in a candy-themed hall leading into the main Christmas tree in the Blue Room, since 1961 the main tree has usually been housed there. The dancers show off how each room has been decorated for the celebrations.
'A bit of magic, wonder, and joy brought to you by the talented tappers of Dorrance Dance, performing their playful interpretation of The Nutcracker Suite. Enjoy!,' Dr. Biden wrote.
'Magic, Wonder and Joy' is the theme this year, President Joe Biden's third in the White House.
The comments under Dr. Biden's official X account were not kind.
Right-wing blogger Ian Miles Cheong said that Dr. Biden's 2023 efforts were gave off a 'Hunger games aesthetic.' Anti-vax activist Alex Rosen chimed in saying: 'The second hand embarrassment is off the charts.'

Bill Stevenson, the ex-husband of first lady Jill Biden, said Wednesday on Newsmax that he has been a target of the “very dangerous … Biden crime family.”
Stevenson discussed his divorce from the first lady, alleging that he was the victim of a shakedown by the Biden family.
“Frankie Biden of the Biden crime family comes up to me and he goes, ‘Give her the house or you’re going to have serious problems.’ I looked at Frankie and I said, ‘Are you threatening me?’ and needless to say, about two months later, my brother and I were indicted for that tax charge for $8,200.”
“Delaware is a small state,” host Greg Kelly said, “Joe Biden is like the prince of Delaware in a way, right? Very powerful. You think that he essentially ordered this?”
“I not only think it, but I know it,” Stevenson said, adding that he “could not believe the power of Joe Biden and the Department of Justice. I couldn’t believe it.”
Stevenson also alleged that Biden is using the same tactics against former President Donald Trump.
“It’s hard to believe what they’re doing to President Trump right now, and that’s why I came to you. He is doing the exact same thing,” Stevenson said.
“I was on the wrong side of them, and they have literally come after me for 35 years in a row. One little thing after another,” he claimed. “I can’t let them do this to a president that I love and respect. I can’t let them do this to our country. This is why I’ve come forward. This is the only reason I’ve come forward. It’s like I said, nothing about the divorce, no bitterness, but Jimmy, Frankie and President Biden are very dangerous, and it’s tragic.
