If These Tits Are Legit

In ancient Greek society there was a “courtesan” named Phryne (4th century BC) who was indeed a beauty. She had been accused by an ex-lover of profaning the sacred Eleusinian mysteries, which was a capital offense.
In Greek society of that time, exceptional beauty was a sign of favor from the gods and the powers of the time took the idea that awesome beauty indicated goodness with a great seriousness.
Phryne was taken before the court and when it seemed that the court would not be swayed to acquit her, her defender, the great orator Hypereides tore open her clothes and exposed her breasts to the jurors in a plea for mercy.

This defense proved to be extremely effective as Phryne appeared to be the earthly surrogate of the goddess Aphrodite and the judges were struck with superstitious fear of her power and acquitted her of her crimes.

The case essentially was based on the argument “How could I possibly be guilty of blasphemy if the gods have given me this exceptional body?”

It was a precursor of the ‘OJ’ defense:
“If these tits are legit, you must acquit.”

Playboy Magazine - First Issue

The first issue of Playboy Magazine, in December 1953, was undated, as Hefner was unsure there would be a second issue. Hefner produced the magazine in his Hyde Park kitchen. The first centerfold was Marilyn Monroe, although the picture used was originally taken for a calendar, rather than Playboy. Hefner chose what he deemed the “sexiest” image, a previously unused nude pose of Marilyn stretched out with an upraised arm on a red velvet background with closed eyes and open mouth. The heavy promotion centered around Marilyn’s nudity on the already famous calendar, together with the teasers in marketing, made the new Playboy magazine a success. The first issue sold out in weeks. Known circulation was 53,991. The cover price was 50 cents.
Copies of mint to near mint condition sold for over $65,000 in 2019.

Ultra Right Beer Releases 'Real Women of America' 2024 Calendar. - Ward Clark

Some years back, my blogger pal, the inestimable Robert Stacy McCain, released his "Five Rules for Getting a Million Hits on Your Blog." Of those, the most famous was Rule Five: "Everybody loves a pretty girl." This is a principle with a lot of history behind it, as anyone who is old enough to remember the ubiquitous auto-parts store calendars of a few years past.
It should come as a surprise to no one that I'm rather a fan of Rule Five myself.
Now we see that Conservative Dad, the guy behind Ultra Right Beer, is channeling Mr. McCain's rule in his latest effort, which is the "Real Women of America" calendar. The calendar will be, in part, a fundraiser for Riley Gaines' "Riley Gaines Center," whose mission is to preserve women's sports for, you know, women.
A self-described "anti-woke" beer company that took off following Bud Light's advancement of transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney says a recent campaign has raised thousands of dollars for the Riley Gaines Center to protect women's sports.
Conservative Dad's Ultra Right Beer teamed up with Riley Gaines, a women's sports activist, on its "Real Women of America" 2024 Calendar, an endeavor the group previously told FOX Business was the first calendar created to "specifically showcase the most beautiful conservative women in America."
As part of the campaign, the company devoted 10% of its calendar sales to the Riley Gaines Center to defend women's sports from "extreme leftist ideology seeking to destroy women's athletics."
Gaines told FOX Business the campaign has been successful and raised $20,000 for her group.
The calendar features Riley Gaines herself, alongside Peyton Drew, Kim Klacic, Ashley St. Clair, Catalina Lauf, Brittany Jean, Sara Gonzales, Dana Loesch, Bethany Bartlett, and Josie (The Redheaded Libertarian.)

Riley Gaines

Ultra Right Beer was founded, of course, to step into the BroDude beer market left gaping wide open by the Bud Light debacle.
There are several reasons why this is a canny move on the part of Ultra Right Beer.
First, it's a good marketing move. See Robert Stacy McCain and Rule Five. The screeching of blue-haired, overweight radical Third Wave feminists notwithstanding, there will always be guys out there who like to see pretty girls, and this calendar appeals to those guys, in particular the BroDude demographic whom Bud Light so cavalierly tossed under the bus.
Second, it's driving a nail right into the cause of the "transgender" activists, whom the Bud Light people tried to appease by parading Dylan Mulvaney. Riley Gaines is doing great work here in combating the entire "dudes in women's sports" phenomenon, and every calendar sold helps her in that effort.
Third, the Ultra Light Beer campaign is taking the fight to our side of the battlefield. Founder "Conservative Dad" has staked out his battle-space in the one area where the left is least equipped to play: capitalism.
I've already ordered my calendar. Solely because of my wish to support the Riley Gaines Center, to help them protect women's sports. Really. That's the only reason. Honestly.
Just ask my wife.

I saw the first picture a while back and I posted it a day or two ago and thought the responsible thing to do was do a little research since I didn't know who Miss 'Sonic Boom' was.

Actress Debra Paget was in Las Vegas in March of 1955 and when asked if she would like a tour of nearby Nellis AFB, she couldn’t resist. (Obviously, she told them that she would only take part in the tour if she could wear a bathing suit and high heels.) Upon her arrival, the Nellis pilots immediately named her “Miss Sonic Boom.”
Miss Paget/Sonic Boom was quite the starlet back in the day, featuring in films like The Ten Commandments, and did a movie opposite Elvis.

Victoria’s Secret goes back to basics after DEI marketing tanks sales

Lingerie retailer Victoria’s Secret plans to withdraw its attempt at being more inclusive with its marketing, reverting to its original reputation in the wake of decreased sales.
(Victoria’s Secret can never make this right. These companies that cater to the hate-mongers and freaks of the planet should NOT be allowed to step back and rebrand until they go on all the national media and apologize PROFUSELY and acknowledge that they screwed up by catering to the WOKE MOBS that aren’t even a part of their customer base. YOU can’t KISS ASS your way to riches. To have to take care of the people who keep you in business.)
The brand, known for hiring beautiful models, has tried to diversify its models over the past few years, including plus-size and transgender representatives. However, the rebrand attempt has not translated to increased sales, with the outlet’s projected revenue for this year at $6.2 billion, down by almost 20% compared to 2020’s $7.5 billion.
“Despite everyone’s best endeavors, it’s not been enough to carry the day,” Victoria’s Secret CEO Martin Waters said.
Part of the attempted rebrand included hiring Megan Rapinoe, a (dike) athlete and activist who has advocated transgender women competing in women’s sports, and Valentina Sampaio, who became the outlet’s first transgender model. In the wake of Sampaio’s hiring, Ed Razek, former chief marketing officer of Victoria’s Secret, resigned from the outlet.
Anyone could have told them that this approach wasn’t going to work.
