Dutch Government Collapses After Popular Right-Wing Party Protests Immigration Policy

The Dutch government collapsed on Tuesday after the Party for Freedom led by Geert Wilders pulled out of the coalition over the government’s asylum policy.
(I have always admired Wilders for his anti-Muslim immigration attitude.)
Wilders had been adamant leading up to the collapse that without strict restrictions on immigration, his party would leave the coalition government. Wilders made good on those threats Tuesday.
“We had no choice. I promised the voters the strictest asylum policy ever, but that was not granted to you,” said Wilders, according to The Wall Street Journal.
The Netherlands’ prime minister, Dick Schoof, said Tuesday following the Party for Freedom’s exit that he would hand his resignation to the king. Schoof’s government toppled less than a year after taking office.
The prime minister said that he and the other ministers, minus those with the Party for Freedom, would stay on as a caretaker government until new elections can be held, according to Politico.
The Party for Freedom is the largest party currently in the Dutch parliament and is the most popular party overall, though its lead in popularity is slim. Public support for Wilders’ party sits at 20%, down from a high of 33% last year. The Labour-Green Left party is close behind with 19% support. The People’s Party for Freedom and Democracy follows in third with 18%.
Wilders has agitated over the government’s approach to asylum, demanding a hard stance on immigration outlined in a 10-point plan he released early last week. The plan called for a temporary pause on new asylees until the backlog can be worked through, and a return of Syrian nationals to their country now that the civil war is over.
Wilders also pushed for a “one strike you’re out” policy to deport any migrants convicted of violent or sexual crimes.
Wilders has focused in particular on Islamic immigration into the Netherlands and Europe at large. In the past, he has warned of “an Islamic invasion” of Europe and called for the “de-Islamization” of the Netherlands.
Schoof called Wilders’ exit from the government “unnecessary and irresponsible.”
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Wilders said he “signed up to the strictest asylum policy, not the downfall of The Netherlands.”

 Hamas Wants UN To Condemn Wilders For ‘Violating International Law.’

Dutch populist firebrand Geert Wilders, fresh after winning the Dutch national elections last week, is facing backlash from the terrorist group Hamas, along with several Arab states, for suggesting that Palestinians should be relocated to Jordan as a means to solve the ongoing conflict between the Palestinians and Israel.
Hamas has called on the international community as well as the United Nations to condemn Wilders for breaking international law, seven weeks after the group murdered around 1,200 Israelis in a surprise terror attack.
According to a report from the Israeli news website Ynet last week, Wilders has made comments in the past claiming that Jordan should change its name to Palestine and allow the Palestinian people to settle there, putting an end to their conflict with the Israelis and allowing the Palestinians to have their own state.
Over the weekend, on Saturday, November 25th, Wilders reiterated his position on X, the social media site formerly known as Twitter, saying “Jordan is Palestine!”
Both the Arab League and the Palestinian Authority slammed Wilders for his remarks, with the Palestinian Authority claiming Wilders was issuing ”a call to escalate the aggression against our people and a blatant interference in their affairs and future.”
Hamas, the Palestinian Gaza-based terrorist group who murdered over a thousand Israeli civilians on October 7th, also released their own statement regarding Wilders:
We strongly condemn the statement of the Dutch extremist Wilders, who calls for the displacement of our people to Jordan, which calls for widespread international condemnation
We in the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) condemn in the strongest terms the racist statement of Dutch extremist Geert Wilders, in which he called for the displacement of our people to Jordan, and we consider it a fascist position aligned with the plans of the Nazi-Zionist occupation, in a delusional attempt to displace our people from their land and Islamic and Christian sanctities.
We call on the international community and the United Nations to condemn this racist, fascist statement that violates international law and the right of our people to their land, and we affirm that our Palestinian people will continue their legitimate struggle against the occupation until its demise, and achieve their national aspirations in a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital, despite the noses of the neo-Nazis.
Wilders mocked the Hamas statement saying, “Hamas complaining about international law,” adding a clown face emoji.
Wilders has been a longtime supporter of Israel and has previously called the country “the West’s first line of defence against Islam.”
The firebrand Party for Freedom (PVV) leader has also been a longstanding critic of the religion of Islam as a whole, equating radical Islamist mosques to Nazism, labelling them “Nazi temples” and proposing that the Netherlands ban the Quran and close all mosques in the country in 2016 as part of a “de-Islamification” platform.
As a result of his views, Wilders has been under heavy police protection since 2004 due to threats from Islamist radicals following the murder of filmmaker Theo Van Gogh that same year, who was killed by a Muslim originally from Morocco.

Netherlands: Geert Wilders’ party soars to first place tie ahead of this week’s general election.

Leftist parties in the Netherlands are desperate, and are urging people to “vote strategically” to avoid a “far-right” government.  Labels such as “far right” are intended to conjure up fear and marginalize individuals and parties as “anti-immigrant” and “racist,” when actually they advocate for legal, responsible immigration to protect Western culture, the rule of law, national security and free society.
Meanwhile, the expansionary nature of Islam for 1,400 years is a legitimate cause for concern, as are the messages that proceed from all too many mosques, advocating for Sharia, which is considered in normative Islam to divine and immutable law. How many more years of evidence do leftists need?
Geert Wilders has issued steady warnings about open-door, unvetted migration from Muslim countries, as well as about the inherent violent and expansionary nature of Islam. He’s backed up by plenty of evidence. When Islam is deemed to be insulted, the alleged perpetrator cannot live in peace, but is in real danger of violence and even execution. This includes Wilders himself. Everywhere he goes, he is surrounded by security personnel.
Wilders’ Party for Freedom (PVV) is now tied for first place with Mark Rutte’s People’s Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD). A snap election was triggered after the fall of Rutte’s globalist government; Rutte announced his retirement in July over a dispute on immigration policy, after thirteen years in power, thus collapsing his cabinet. Early general elections are scheduled for Wednesday November 22.
People are finally starting to wake up on many levels to the truth about vast, unvetted, illegal Muslim migration and its costs. The October 7 horror that Hamas inflicted on Israel is causing further concern. Now Jews cannot even live in peace in Western countries. Muslim nations stand with their Palestinian brothers against Israel, against Jews, and against the West, as they encourage pro-Palestinian rage everywhere. Hostile groups who threaten and intimidate Jews and disrupt the peace of everyone else chant “From the [Jordan] River to the [Mediterranean] Sea, Palestine will be free” — a call to obliterate Israel.
The economy is another pressing issue. Reckless immigration policies are unsustainable as Western taxpayers struggle to make ends meet, especially since COVID.
Citizens of Western countries can also see that while the UN and globalists slammed countries that refused to go along with the UN Migration Pact and open-door policies for mostly Muslim migrants, the Arab countries nearest to Israel, including Egypt, Jordan and Turkey, refuse to take in Palestinian Muslim refugees.

Leftwing parties in the Netherlands have urged people to vote strategically to avoid a far-right government after a poll showed last-minute gains for Geert Wilders’ Party for Freedom (PVV).
Wilders, whose manifesto calls for an asylum “stop” and ban on “Islamic schools, Qu’rans [sic] and mosques”, said it was a “game changer” when a poll on Saturday evening put him level with Mark Rutte’s party, the People’s Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD).
The pollster Maurice de Hond – who overestimated Wilders’ share by five seats in the last election – found in a survey of almost 7,000 people on 17 November that the PVV and VVD were neck and neck in 26 of the 150 seats, thanks to a five-seat surge for Wilders after an aggressive performance in a television debate.
Pollsters pointed out that two other major polls are coming out on Monday and Tuesday. Sjoerd van Heck, of Ipsos, said that if Wilders has surged in all of the last polls, including its own, “a rallying effect of leftist voters seeking to block a PVV-led government is likely to happen”.
Since the new head of Rutte’s party, Dilan Yeşilgöz-Zegerius, said early in the campaign that she would not, like Rutte, exclude the PVV from coalition negotiations, Wilders has taken an intermittently milder tone. In an interview with the current affairs programme Nieuwsuur, he promised concessions on anti-Islam polities, but has never apologised for calling for “fewer Moroccans” in a 2014 speech for which he has a criminal record.
Leftwing leaders were quick to warn progressive voters to vote strategically for the centre parties. Frans Timmermans, the European heavyweight who is leading a new coalition of Labour and the GreenLeft, said: “It’s clear that Ms Yeşilgöz has opened the door for Wilders in the government. This would mean someone participates in running the country who dismisses a million Dutch [Muslims] as second-class citizens.”…

 Globalist Dutch Government Collapses, PM Mark Rutte Resigns, as Pro-Farmer Populists Threaten to Upend Establishment in Upcoming Elections.

The globalist coalition government in The Netherlands collapsed on Friday evening, with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte tendering his resignation to King Willem-Alexander on Saturday, paving the way for elections to be held by November and the possibility of the populist pro-farmer BBB party to come into power.
The fourth government of Mark Rutte, 56, the Netherlands’ longest-serving prime minister, collapsed on Friday evening as coalition partners were seemingly incapable of coming to a compromise on the issue of migration and asylum policy. This marks the third time since coming to power in 2010 that a Rutte government failed to complete a full term in office.
The shock collapse of the government forced King Willem-Alexander to return to cut his vacation short and return to his country on Saturday to accept the resignation of Prime Minister Rutte, broadcaster NOS reports.
The collapse of the government comes as asylum applications to the country increased by a third in 2022 to 46,000 and projections expect over 70,000 more to come this year, the most since the 2015 European Migrant Crisis under a previous Rutte government.
The issue of mass migration has come to the fore of Dutch politics as the country’s infrastructure was stretched so thin that last year many migrants were forced to sleep outdoors as a result of lack of accommodation, as has been seen in many other European countries in recent years.
Responding to the collapse of the Rutte government, Dutch political commentator Eva Vlaardingerbroek said: “I think the actual fall of the cabinet itself is all for show. The ‘disagreement’ about immigration that they’re mentioning as the deciding factor, is not the real issue, because all government parties are in favour of more mass migration, including Mark Rutte’s VVD.
“Rutte just seems to think that he can trick the Dutch people into believing that he actually wants a stricter immigration policy this time around, and he thinks he can get re-elected again if he makes these false new promises.
“Do not fall for it. We cannot let him win again.”
Vlaardingerbroek, who has been a champion of the Dutch farmer protest movement that saw thousands of farmers take to their tractors over the past two years in opposition to the EU-driven green agenda that threatens to shut down their farms forever, said, however, that the upcoming elections represent a “real chance of getting our country back” and to fight back against the “expropriation of our farmers, push back on immigration, and take back our national sovereignty from organisations like the EU and the WEF.”
“Let’s pray that enough people have woken up and will actually vote for change this time. We will not get a second chance,” she said.
