Russell Brand Roasts Rachel Maddow for Her Hysterical Censoring of Donald Trump. (Hilarious)

If you are reading this, you probably didn't watch MSNBC's election night coverage of the Iowa caucus. Why would you? You being here means you value your sanity, and as I'm about to explain, you made the right decision.
The setup is the Iowa caucus being called early in the night for Donald Trump. There was a bit of justified controversy surrounding the decision of essentially every network to make that call before most people had even voted, but what's done is done, and I don't think it affected the outcome. Regardless, the panel over at MSNBC, which included Rachel Maddow, Jen Psaki, Chris Hayes, Joy Reid, and nearly every other lunatic from their primetime line-up, didn't waste any time before melting down.
Enter actor and podcaster Russell Brand, who took the clips of Maddow explaining why her network censored Trump's victory speech and turned them into comedy gold. It's like watching a car wreck in slow motion. You can't look away.

https://twitter.com/rustyrockets/status/1747386651469332690?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1747386651469332690%7Ctwgr%5E1673c6b48f4fed8a4b7065a0304741e989a3b190%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fredstate.com%2Fbonchie%2F2024%2F01%2F17%2Frussell-brand-roasts-rachel-maddow-for-her-hysteriacal-censoring-of-donald-trump-n2168849

BRAND: ”Look, it's Donald Trump. Can you not say his name? "The projected winner, he that can not be named." He's not Voldemort. He's not a lord of darkness. But just the utterance of the word "Trump" on MSNBC, suddenly liberals are putting down their coffee cups and they're putting down their comfortable view. They're embracing the idea of emergent populism.
Let's have a look at the rest of Rachel Maddow's analysis of misinformation and disinformation, and they're peculiar refusal to show Trump's speech. It was the sweetest thing I've ever seen.”
A video of Maddow explaining to the audience why they can't play Trump's speech is then played. Brand responds with this.
BRAND: “And that's because when people watch that stuff, people kind of like him, and it's very difficult when we have as our own candidate for the ongoing presidency a waxen, cadaverous zombie who looks like he's been scooped up from the tomb, shoved from the ? (sepulchre), and into the voting booth.”
He then plays the rest of Maddow's explanation, which claims that her network simply can't abide by showing "misinformation" on-air. Brand then hit her with the receipts.
MADDOW: “The vaccines work well enough that the virus stops with every vaccinated person. A vaccinated person gets exposed to the virus, the virus does not infect them, the virus then can not use that person to go anywhere else.”
BRAND: “This is extraordinary. It's not an absolute of misinformation. It's a condemnation of information that may lead to you losing trust in the establishment.“
MADDOW: “That is a fundamental truth of our business and who we are, and so his remarks will not air here live. We will monitor them and let you know about any news that he makes.”
BRAND: “Also, they make him sound more and more powerful. "He might make some news, he might make some," look at that sort of wahhh, like he sings it into existence. Like some vibrating orb of pure consciousness, creating reality from the (?), prima-material of reality. Consciousness itself, preceding material reality, all of the objects, and apparent separation emanating from a single unitary source. "We can't show him! There's just too much truth!””
I'll stop the excerpts there because it's not easy to transcribe a fast-speaking British dude whose using words I've never heard of, but you get the idea. He goes on for several more minutes thoroughly roasting Maddow, and it's well-deserved.
How silly do these networks look bothering to censor a presidential candidate because he mentions there's an "invasion" at the border or that he thinks the 2020 election is rigged? Who cares? Aren't voters adults? Shouldn't they have the mental fortitude to handle hearing things they may disagree with? If not, should they even be voting?
Maddow and MSNBC are playing political incarnations of the Streisand effect. No one would have otherwise cared that much about what Trump did or didn't say in his Iowa speech. It's not like he's put a lot of new material into his public appearances over the last several years. By censoring him, though, it makes open-minded people seek out what they missed.
In other words, it's self-defeating. No one has ever accused liberals of having critical-thinking skills, I suppose.

Climate Protester finds out it's Bad Idea to rush a stage with Ron DeSantis on it.

We've seen climate protesters do a lot of crazy and annoying things, from throwing paint at art treasures to gluing their hands to the street. One of the most annoying things they do is block traffic, and frequently, drivers lose patience with them and then physically manhandle them to get them out of the way. That's a particularly dumb move given that they can get hurt, and it also leads to more carbon emissions which they claim to be against. But they don't seem to care about that when it comes to their own actions. So much for standing by their convictions — it shows it's more about disrupting the order of things now.
But they pulled another dumb move on Thursday evening: getting too close to a presidential candidate. That's guaranteed not to end well.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis was speaking at a campaign stop in Ames, Iowa, on Thursday evening when suddenly, a climate protester from the Sunrise Movement rushed the stage.

You can see a man who is probably Secret Service eyeing the protester and then nailing him along with other people as the activist yells, "Ron DeSantis is a climate criminal" and "How much money are you taking from oil companies?"
It doesn't end very well, as you can see, as not only do three guys tackle him off the stage to the ground but they also sit on him and appear to take him into custody.
I'm not sure what these folks think they gain when they do things like this to Republicans. They're not convincing anyone about their cause. So it's just a bit like raising a flag and saying, "Come arrest me for being annoying." And, in this case, it appears that Ron DeSantis' security was happy to oblige.

Ron DeSantis will END his 2024 campaign if he loses Iowa caucuses to Donald Trump on Jan 15 - and endorse his arch rival for president according to campaign insiders.

Two well-acquainted sources within the DeSantis campaign, a significant donor and a high-ranking political operative, told The Hill that if the Florida Governor loses to former President Donald Trump on January 15, he is likely to withdraw from the race altogether.
The announcement would either be made that same night or the following morning and with it a reluctant endorsement for Trump and the governor would not move on to New Hampshire, scheduled for January 23.
DeSantis would upend the race if he were to beat Trump in the caucuses - as he is currently polling well behind his MAGA rival.
The latest polls suggest it would take a miracle for him to win with DeSantis sitting at 18.4 percent and Trump at a solid 50 percent of the vote.
If DeSantis does decide to align himself with Trump, he would be joining a growing trend of Republican politicians endorsing the former president.
Recently Trump has received endorsements from prominent figures like House Majority Whip Tom Emmer and Majority Leader Steve Scalise.
Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas, known for his conservative and faith-based circles, has also recently endorsed Trump - all of which suggests momentum for a Trump return is growing within the Republican Party.
DeSantis might have been better suited for a presidential bid in 2028, but the night of January 15 will reveal whether DeSantis is able to bow out gracefully as the odds mount against him.

Why Media Will Bury Dylan Butler School Shooting
Normally, a school shooting sends the media into an jubilant frenzy, as propagandists scramble to exploit the tragedy to attack our right of self-defense. Not this time:

The now-deceased suspected gunman who shot at least six victims—killing one, a sixth-grade middle schooler—at a small-town high school in Perry, Iowa, early Thursday morning has been identified by authorities as 17-year-old student Dylan Butler.
Butler’s social media imprint reveals why the media won’t find the bloodshed worthy of the 24/7 laser focus for days on end we have come to expect following school shootings:
An emoji of the gay Pride flag was featured in the TikTok page’s bio and an image of an anime girl was selected as the profile’s avatar. In another TikTok video, the account used the hashtag “genderfluid.” Using an identical profile picture on Instagram, user @DylanSayWhat212 identified as trans non-binary with “he/they” pronouns. However, the account has also since been scrubbed.
According to a series of Reddit posts that Butler appears to have authored, he interacted with transgender and “femboy” forums. …
Over on the platform X, formerly Twitter, the since-suspended account @DylanSayWhat212, under the screenname “Dylan Jesse,” professed his love for My Little Pony and “f*cking furries” while replying to a Happy Pride Month post.
From the viewpoint of the liberal establishment, guns in private hands are bad, but not as bad as driving children insane with transsexual ideology is good.
The reason the demonic Audrey Hale is not a household name is that she was pretending to be a man (and possibly taking male hormones) when she murdered six people including three 9-year-olds at the Covenant School in Nashville for being Christian. A similar dynamic will ensure Butler’s obscurity.
Matt Vespa predicts the Iowa story will be gone by Monday if not sooner:
There’s nothing here to weaponize against conservatives. The shooter was a genderfluid/transgender whackjob. With 2024 upon us, politicians aren’t going to be sticking their necks out for a gun control bill based on a transgender going insane. The media will write up the main points and move on because this shooting, yet again, does not comport with the narrative that pro-MAGA white supremacists are killing us all.
If only briefly, the media has no choice but to acknowledge what happened. So it provides the politically correct spin by portraying Butler as the victim — basically siding with him against his victims:
The AP published a piece with the headline ‘He got tired of the bullying,’ classmates say of shooter, and detailed how Butler had been “bullied relentlessly since elementary school.”
Nothing is beneath the Associated Press.
Transsexualism is literally a form of psychosis. Promote it among unstable youth while pushing a phony Cultural Marxist narrative of oppression…

Federal Court Rules In Favor Of Free Speech, Strikes Blow To Gender Ideology.

On Friday, the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that an Iowa school district’s policy forcing students to “respect” their class-mates’ so-called “gender identity” or risk discipline was a violation of the First Amendment.
In 2022, Parents Defend Education sued Linn-Mar School District on behalf of a group of unnamed parents over its aforementioned policy, arguing that the rules were opaque and constituted compelled speech. The Eighth Circuit agreed with PDE and remanded the case with instruction to block enforcement of the school district’s handbook on the matter.
“We are gratified that the Eighth Circuit upheld the rights of families and students in Linn-Mar,” PDE said in a statement sent to The Daily Wire. “It is never acceptable to prohibit speech with vague terms that allow arbitrary enforcement, especially when compelled student speech is at stake, and this sends a clear message to other districts across the country with similar bullying and harassment policies on the books.”
Some of the parents in the case argued that Linn-Mar’s policies would block the “open exchange of ideas” by “chilling speech” such as the idea that “biological sex is immutable” or that “that a biological male who identifies as female should not be allowed to compete in women’s sports,” The Des Moines Register noted. Voicing opinions that could run contrary to radical gender ideology could have resulted in students being punished.
The judges agreed with those arguments and ruled, “The policy broadly prohibits a refusal to ‘respect a student’s gender identity.’ The policy does not define ‘respect,’ and the expression of opinions like those held by parent G’s child arguably would violate the policy,” the decision said.
When PDE first sued Linn-Mar, Iowa had yet to pass a law banning school districts from ignoring or excluding parents’ say as it relates to their children’s preferred pronouns and gender identity. Linn-Mar had previously created a policy stating that schools must prioritize the wishes of students over their parents. Since then, Iowa has banned such practices. The court noted that such a policy is illegal in Iowa.
“The Eighth Circuit also made clear that Linn-Mar’s parental exclusion policies are now unlawful throughout the State of Iowa,” PDE added. Yet these policies remain on the books in far too many districts across the country. Parental exclusion policies are a loser in the court of public opinion — and I have no doubt that they will eventually be struck down in the court of law as well.”

South Dakota Regulators Deny Summit Carbon Solutions Permit For Controversial Carbon Capture Project.

On Monday, the South Dakota Public Utilities Commission denied a permit for a controversial carbon capture pipeline in the state. Summit Carbon Solutions (SCS) had filed dozens of eminent domain lawsuits against South Dakota landowners to seize properties that had been in their families for generations.
The carbon technology captures carbon dioxide pollution from ethanol plants, power plants and steel factories, and stores it deep underground. The $5.5 billion Midwest Carbon Express pipeline would have extract carbon from ethanol plants in Iowa and stored it underground in North Dakota.
The Inflation Reduction Act, signed into law by Joe Biden last year, massively expanded tax credits for the potentially dangerous carbon capture projects. Last week, Navigator Heartland Greenway, a carbon capture company based in Nebraska, saw its own permit request be denied after weeks of hearings.
The motion to deny was unanimously passed 3-0.
As American Greatness reported earlier this year, SCS went to court to seize the property rights of more than 80 South Dakota landowners because their land was in the path of the company’s planned 2,000-mile carbon capture pipeline.  According to some accounts, surveyors from the company trespassed on the properties and intimidated the farmers with armed security guards.
In an interview in June, Jared Bossly, one of the landowners facing the loss of his property, said that he spoke to Gov. Noem about his situation and her response was “it’s out of my hands … am I supposed to fight all your battles?”
Noem on Friday endorsed former President Trump in the 2024 Republican presidential primary at a campaign rally in Rapid City, drawing speculation that Trump is considering her as his running mate.
