California Has Spent Over $4M In Taxpayer Dollars On Gender Surgeries For Prisoners.

California taxpayers are bankrolling gender surgeries for prisoners, with the state spending over $4 million on life-altering procedures for 157 inmates since 2017, according to records reported on by The Washington Free Beacon.
In 2017, California became the first state to pay for prisoners to go under the knife if they wanted to present as the opposite sex. Since then, California has spent $2.5 million on vaginoplasties and hundreds of thousands of dollars on other transgender procedures, such as fake breasts, laser hair removal, and facial feminization, the Free Beacon reported.
Four of the prisoners benefiting from the millions in taxpayer dollars were convicted of crimes that placed them on death row. Prosecutors in the state can still seek the death penalty, but no one has been put to death in California for 17 years, and California Governor Gavin Newsom placed a moratorium on the death penalty in 2019.
“People who think they’re transgender have rights, and they should be treated with dignity and respect, but it does not include taxpayer dollars being used to do surgeries that are experimental at best and scientifically unjustified at worst,” attorney Harmeet Dhillon, who has represented California inmates, told the Free Beacon.
According to the records reviewed by the Free Beacon, California paid for 35 male prisoners to get artificial vaginas and vulvas, which cost taxpayers $2.5 million, and 11 male prisoners received breast implants which cost more than $180,000. Meanwhile, 40 female inmates had their breasts removed courtesy of the state government for a total of more than $1 million.
The state corrections department said it approves gender surgeries for inmates on a case-by-case basis but it does not place any limits on the type of surgery an inmate can get. As of the early summer of 2023, the department had received over 1,000 requests for “gender-affirming” surgeries since 2017, according to agency records.
The requests for gender surgery more than doubled in California prisons in 2022, and since 2017, the number of trans-identifying prisoners increased by 234%, Cal Matters reported. Earlier this year, a male triple murderer was transferred to a women’s prison after identifying as female.
Men getting into women’s prisons under the guise of identifying as transgender has caused issues for California in the past. In 2021, a women’s rights group filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California after multiple imprisoned women said they were sexually assaulted by male inmates who identified as transgender or “nonbinary,” The Sacramento Bee reported.
California isn’t the only state using taxpayer dollars to pay for gender surgeries. Both Pennsylvania and Massachusetts have spent millions of dollars for the life-altering procedures on children between 2015 and the spring of this year.

This is how desperate Gavin Newsome is to be the next Democratic nominee for President. He’s starting to emulate Joe’s moves to show he can replace the stumbler-in-chief at a moment’s notice.

Paul Joseph Watson
The Ultimate Irony
The fix is in.

If Biden is replaced, RFK Jr’s candidacy could ironically actually end up helping the deep state.
(In MY OPINION, RGK Jr, is the DEEP STATE FIX for the Trump problem. Polls all show that RFK Jr. will pull more votes from Trump than he will from the Democratic nominee who WILL NOT BE BIDEN. It will be Gavin Newsom or Michael “Michelle” obama.)

Newsom’s ‘First Black Lesbian’ Senate Appointee immediately hit with ‘scandal,’ the cover-up is underway.

(Don’t kid yourself, she’s a Democrat, scandals roll off their scaly backs. They don’t even sweat it. They’re erasing the evidence as we speak … and then it’ll be over.)
Newsom appointed Laphonza Butler, whose only qualifications appear to be working on Kamala Harris' failed 2020 presidential campaign while being a "black lesbian." Naturally, the California governor is touting the latter.
Democrats select the most powerful people in the country based on race and who they sleep with. I mean, what could possibly go wrong with such an approach? What does merit have to do with governing competently anyway?
Let's ask Newsom, who apparently appointed a Maryland resident to the seat, birthing an immediate scandal.
In regards to Butler, the cover-up has already begun in earnest. EMILY's List, the rabid pro-abortion organization she worked for, scrubbed her listed residency in Maryland overnight.
(They’ve also scrubbed her Wikipedia, Linkdin, and Twitter accounts. History being rewritten as we watch. It’s handy when your party affiliation just changes the rules as needed. According to her wiki page, she’s been living in CA since 2009.)
Being a homeowner in a state does not make one a resident of that state. Given that she's not even registered to vote in California, it's fairly obvious that she does not live there and has no formal residency there. Where does she pay taxes? What state is her driver's license from? Has she claimed California residency in the last two years?
Remember the constant jabs that Mehmet Oz got from the press for previously living in New Jersey? He was actually a resident of Pennsylvania when he ran for the Senate there, and he still got lambasted on a near-daily basis. Will Butler get the same treatment? Of course, she won't, because it's (D)ifferent.

Imagine the destruction that will be unleashed on this country if Gavin Newsome is elected President ...

California Governor Gavin Newsom will reportedly appoint Laphonza Butler, the president of far-left EMILY’s List, to replace Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) in the U.S. Senate after Feinstein passed away last week. He made the appointment noting that it comes “without putting limitations or preconditions on his pick running for the seat in 2024.” This means that Butler can join the existing field of contenders for the party’s nominee in 2024.
(He just appointed a Liberal Black lesbian to fill Feinstein's seat. And the only reason he did appoint her is because her qualifications for the job are that she's a liberal black lesbian. And apparently, to Democrats, actual job experience and actual qualifications for the job are overridden by identity politics.)
Butler has also worked as a senior adviser to Vice President Kamala Harris and was the president of the largest labor union in California representing more than 325,000 nursing home and home-care workers throughout the state.
Journalists online noted that Butler listed her state of residence on her X account as Maryland.
“FEC filings from EMILY’s List record Laphonza Butler’s residence as Silver Springs, Maryland as recently as 31 days ago,” said FEC analyst Rob Pyers. “FPPC and FEC filings indicate that soon-to-be California Senator Laphonza Butler hasn’t been a resident of the state for over two years.”
Pyers noted that EMILY’s List was already cleaning up their website to hide where Butler allegedly lives. The organization removed the following line from their website: “She lives in Maryland with her partner Neneki Lee and their daughter Nylah.”
EMILY’s List is a political action committee that helps elect pro-abortion activists to political offices across the country.
The other current contenders for the 2024 include Democrat Reps. Katie Porter, Adam Schiff and Barbara Lee.
Various reports published on Sunday, before Newsom’s selection was revealed, indicated that Feinstein’s replacement was expected to be sworn in this week.
“This means that California will not only get a Black woman Senator but also its first openly lesbian Senator,” noted journalist Yashar Ali. “Laphonza will be the second lesbian to serve in the Senate.”

More anti-gun stupidity from the 2nd Amendment hating Dictator of Californication, Gavin Newsom.

Gavin Newsom signs California law doubling taxes on guns, ammo: 'A small price to pay.’

Governor also inked legislation overhauling state's previous rules for carrying concealed weapons.
California Gov. Gavin Newsom signed a law Tuesday that will double the taxes on guns and ammunition, with the new revenue going to safety initiatives.
The federal government collects excise taxes on purchases of firearms and ammunition at either 10% or 11%. The new law adds another 11% excise tax, meaning that Golden State residents can indirectly pay as much as 22%.
Newsom said that he saw the tax increase as a "pretty modest investment" in gun violence prevention and believes it will help toward "reducing those costs ultimately."
"The carnage, it’s too much. We can’t normalize it, we can’t accept it," Newsom said. "This is a small price to pay."
California is now the only state in the U.S. that has a special tax on gun purchases. Newsom also signed a law Tuesday that bans people from carrying guns in nearly every public space, which overhauls the state's previous rules for carrying concealed weapons.
The tax does not apply to police officers or to businesses that sell less than $5,000 worth of guns or ammo over a three-month period. The tax is projected to generate $159 million per year, with the money going to the California Violence Intervention and Prevention Grant Program and the State Department of Education.
The California Violence Intervention and Prevention Grant Program runs initiatives that target young people in gangs and help them with life-coaching. The State Department of Education would use the money to improve security at schools and run after-school programs for at-risk students.
Another significant bill signed into law on Tuesday is SB 2, by Sen. Anthony Portantino, which will change the rules for carrying concealed weapons.
California’s new law requires permit holders to be 21, bans concealed weapons from most public places — parks, schools, government buildings, hospitals, and places where alcohol is sold, as well as at public demonstrations and gatherings.
The California Rifle and Pistol Association has already sued to block one new law Newsom signed on Tuesday that bans people from carrying guns in most public places. The law overhauls the state’s rules for concealed carry permits in light of the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in New York State Rifle and Pistol Association v. Bruen.
Sen. Portantino said it is common sense to want to protect yourself with a concealed firearm, but that firearms may not be needed at a ballfield or at a restaurant.
“You as a responsible person with that permit will need to do a little work to know where it is allowed,” Portantino said.
Another new law will require that all pistols sold in the state beginning in 2028 have microstamping technology, which will leave unique markings on bullets that will make it easier to trace which weapon was used in a shooting.
The signings come just days after a Newsom-led campaign to amend the U.S. Constitution passed out of the California Legislature. The measure passed by legislators calls for a state Constitutional Convention to consider additional federal rules on firearms purchases and use, but two-thirds of states need to pass similar measures in order for the process to advance.
California has some of the lowest gun death rates in the country, ranking 43rd out of 50 states with 9 deaths for every 100,000 people, according to 2021 data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. But violent crimes have increased recently. The violent crime rate increased by 6.1% in 2022, according to the California Department of Justice.

California Groomin’

Parents and schools are being forced to acquiesce to the “transing” of kids through the strong arm of state law.
California, the most radical of all the blue states, has set yet another horrible precedent for the rest of the country. What has been going on in that state is a pitched battle between parental rights and the faux rights of schools and teachers to hide gender transitions or sexual identities of students from their parents.
Five Golden State school districts — Murrieta Valley Unified School District, Chino Valley Unified School District, Rocklin Unified School District, Temecula Valley Unified School District, and Orange Unified School District — have voted in favor of making it policy for teachers to inform the parents should a child choose to change his or her gender identity.
Last week, San Bernardino County Superior Court Judge Thomas Garza blocked Chino Valley Unified School District’s new policy from going into effect. Garza claimed that the policy had “no stated, clear purpose” and that it is “singling out a group that is exposed to a clear and present danger.” In other words, Garza is another deluded judicial activist who believes that informing a parent about the radical and harmful decision to adhere to transgender ideology is a suicide risk for the child.
He also justified hiding a gender change by comparing it to hiding a student’s change in religion. It prompts one to wonder if Judge Garza sees radical gender ideology for what it is: a dangerous and harmful cult.
On a larger scale, the state of California is reacting to this push by a handful of school districts for parental rights by passing a horrible piece of legislation. AB 95 passed the State Assembly by a vote of 57-16 and the Senate by a vote of 30-9. This bill is a mandate of sorts that would force parents to affirm their child when he or she decides to declare a different gender. The consequences for not adhering to this new law, set to be signed by Governor Gavin Newsom very soon, would be the removal of children from parents’ homes.
How will that work out? Ask Abigail Martinez, whose daughter was removed from her home over this very issue, and later committed suicide.
To add insult to injury, the State Assembly added another liturgical holiday to the cornucopia of LGBTQ+ days of celebration. The Assembly has declared August “Transgender History Month.” (They are going to run out of calendar days at the rate they are declaring new holidays for the new state religion.) It’s as if to say that not only will they take your children away if you don’t comply, but they are going to make sure your kids are thoroughly “educated” in all the LGBTQ+ doctrine.
For anyone who has been watching this debate in California, the surprising part isn’t the new law. The surprising part were the few school districts that wanted to affirm the rights of parents to raise and guide their children. In essence, what the state of California has told parents is “mess around and find out.”
This cult of radical gender ideology has just launched its first religious inquisition. What starts in California will likely spread to other states like a cancer. Parents, if you value both the physical and mental health of your children, get out of that authoritarian state. “If you love your children,” said state Senator Scott Wilk, (R-Santa Clarita) in June, “you need to flee California.”
Democrat lawmakers there are happy to take away your parental rights and your children if you don’t toe the line. They are happy to set your children up for a life of misery and make them vulnerable to predators. There have already been horror stories from parents in other states of what happened to their kids when the state took them away because of this ideology.
That isn’t freedom. It’s tyranny and state-sanctioned child abuse.

California - Newsom triples CHP enforcement in Los Angeles to combat retail thefts.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom announced Thursday the state would be tripling California Highway Patrol resources in the Los Angeles area to help combat organized retail theft.
The CHP has been tasked by the state to battle retail crime, and the Governor’s Office said their efforts have been successful.
But following major large-scale burglaries across the Los Angeles region in recent weeks, the Governor says additional help is needed.
The announcement by Newsom follows a similar announcement made hours earlier by Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and other local leaders, establishing a new organized retail theft task force to crack down on “flash mob“-style burglaries.
That regional task force will be similar in nature to the CHP’s Organized Retail Crime Task Force, and will include statewide partners, including Highway Patrol. CHP will be expanding its resources and allocating more investigators specifically in L.A.
“The state is investing hundreds of millions of dollars to crack down on organized crime and when our local partners need further assistance, we’re ready with a helping hand,” Gov. Newsom said in a release. “The CHP is the proven leader in tackling organized retail theft and through this expanded partnership the agency will further assist the city in doing its job to keep Angelenos and their businesses safe.”
The CHP task force was established in 2019, and the Governor’s Office says its arrested more than 1,250 people and recovered more than $30 million in stolen merchandise since its creation.
“Law enforcement is all about partnership – and the CHP is proud to be a good partner to Los Angeles,” said CHP Commissioner Sean Duryee. “Working together, and by utilizing the CHP’s wide breadth of expertise and resources, we will crack down on this uptick in dangerous and unacceptable criminal activity.”

Just a damn shame that California can't even take advantage of the one benefit of all that rain because they have no reservoirs to catch all that water that's just going to run off into the ocean. California hasn't even repaired the reservoirs that were damaged during the last flooding event. They pretended to spend the money on a high speed train, that, incidentally, didn't get built either. State government ineptitude on a galactic scale.

Workers at SF Federal Building told to work from home due to crime.

SAN FRANCISCO - Workers at San Francisco's Federal Building located on 7th and Mission streets are reportedly being advised to work from home due to safety concerns over crime.
The Chronicle reported that the Department of Health and Human Services issued a memo last week calling for employees to "maximize the use of telework," due to conditions around the building.
Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has also reportedly expressed safety concerns about her staff who work there.
The plaza has been known for years as a place where drug use and sales are common.
This summer, Governor Gavin Newsom announced he would double the amount of California Highway Patrol officers deployed in San Francisco as part of a plan to crackdown on the ongoing deadly fentanyl crisis.
In May, a rare open-air Board of Supervisors meeting was held outdoors at Civic Center Plaza. Some supervisors pressed the mayor about the persistent drug problems in parts of the city, but the meeting quickly devolved into heckling and a brick was thrown by someone before the meeting had to be moved back indoors.
The open-air drug markets, known to be commonplace in neighborhoods such as the Tenderloin, and the crime that has accompanied them have been blamed for impacting popular retail corridors.
In April, Whole Foods closed their flagship San Francisco store about a block away from the SoMa Federal Building. Whole Foods representatives said it was because of employee safety concerns, although Supervisor Matt Dorsey, who represents SoMa and the Tenderloin, characterized the closure as temporary.
A few months later, it was announced that management of San Francisco's Westfield Centre would be transferred to its lender, who would then appoint a receiver to operate the property. They cited a downturn in foot traffic, occupancy and declining sales as the reason for their decision.
When Florida Governor Ron DeSantis used San Francisco as a backdrop for a campaign ad to further tarnish perceptions of San Francisco in national media, Mayor London Breed came to her city's defense, saying the conservative presidential hopeful was playing politics. She added that while he was quick to criticize, he offered no solutions.
The mayor is performing a balancing act of being a cheerleader for San Francisco but has also acknowledged crime in the city as she pushed for a bigger police budget.
In her back and forth with San Francisco supervisors, Breed had said crime is the number one concern in the city and something everyone is talking about.

California Backup Power Plan: Drain EV Batteries

As the Democrats running California continue to wage the progressive War on Energy, the rolling blackouts associated with Gavin Newsom’s rule will become more frequent, because no amount of other people’s money will make wind and solar reliable. At least they have a backup plan. Too bad it is insane:
California’s largest electric utility PG&E wants to suck the batteries of electric-vehicle owners plugged into charging stations to stabilize the grid during unstable periods. The Ford F-150 already allows for bidirectional charging, but that was sold as a benefit to the owner as a kind of independent generator for households during blackouts. PG&E wants to use it to commandeer all EV batteries and use their power to prevent grid collapse.

https://abc7news.com/electric-vehicle-ev-pge-power-outages/13620139/

Bidirectional charging functionality will add an estimated $3,700 to the already excessive cost of EVs, as well as shorten their lifespan. No worries; the government can just provide more subsidies.
This will not be voluntarily:
Lawmakers in Sacramento are helping to move things along. For example, Senate Bill 233 would make bi-directional charging mandatory for all new electric vehicles.
As with Biden’s attack on gas generators, the objective is to prevent independence. We need to be completely reliant on the grid; then they can not only deny us energy but confiscate the energy we have already acquired.
Our rulers want us driving unreliable, dangerous, and combustion-prone electric vehicles because they do not want us driving any vehicles. When it all hits the fan — and it will, if Democrats get any more entrenched — they will need to deprive us of transportation to prevent organized resistance.
Newsom has signed an executive order banning non-electric vehicles by 2035.
“It is easier to resist at the beginning than at the end,” said Leonardo da Vinci. We will soon be past the easy part.

Gov Ron DeSantis announces he ACCEPTS debate challenge by Gov Gavin Newsom. [VIDEO]

Governor Ron DeSantis announced tonight that he accepts the debate challenge sent to him by Leftist California Governor Gavin Newsom.
Here’s the video:

https://twitter.com/RealSaavedra/status/1686915202753708033?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1686915202753708033%7Ctwgr%5Eb77ee064bb29c5158904c313155b04bd5bddd91a%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Ftherightscoop.com%2Fbreaking-gov-ron-desantis-announces-he-accepts-debate-challenge-by-gov-gavin-newsom-video%2F

I love seeing that DeSantis isn’t afraid to go on the proverbial debate stage with the other side. The question is will Gavin Newsom live up to his challenge or will he make excuses for why he can’t do it.
He told Hannity that he’d do it even with only one days notice so let’s see if he lives up to his word or if he’s all talk.

Democrat bill in California would mandate judges to consider race when doling out prison sentences.

A Democrat-backed bill making its way through the California Legislature would require judges in the state to consider a convicted criminal's race when determining how long to sentence them to prison.
Assembly Member Reggie Jones-Sawyer, the Democratic chair of the California Assembly's Public Safety Committee, quietly introduced Bill 852 in February. The Assembly went on to pass the little-known legislation in May, and the measure is currently being considered in the state Senate.
The bill would add a section to the Penal Code of California requiring courts, whenever they have the authority to determine a prison sentence, to "rectify" alleged racial bias in the criminal justice system by taking into account how historically persecuted minorities are affected differently than others.
"It is the intent of the Legislature to rectify the racial bias that has historically permeated our criminal justice system as documented by the California Task Force to Study and Develop Reparation Proposals for African Americans," the proposed new section to the Penal Code reads. "Whenever the court has discretion to determine the appropriate sentence according to relevant statutes and the sentencing rules of the Judicial Council, the court presiding over a criminal matter shall consider the disparate impact on historically disenfranchised and system-impacted populations."
The California task force referenced in the bill was created by state legislation signed by Gov. Gavin Newsom in 2020 to examine the possibility of implementing statewide reparations as a way to make amends for slavery and racism.
Late last month, the task force released its final recommendations, which the state legislature will now consider whether to implement and send to the governor's desk to be signed into law.
In its 1,00-page report, the task force proposed dozens of statewide policies and ways to calculate monetary reparations designed to redress slavery and historical injustices against Black Americans. According to the task force, such history has created lingering consequences that exist today in the form of systemic racism.
The task force estimated the minimum dollar amount in harm that California has caused or could have prevented totals at least $1 million per eligible Black Californian.
In terms of criminal justice specifically, the task force determined that qualifying Black residents could be owed over $115,000, or around $2,352 per year of residency in California from 1971 to 2020, as compensation for over-policing in Black communities, excess felony drug arrests, and disproportionate prison time during the so-called war on drugs. The final report also included proposals to end cash bail and the prosecution of low-level crimes.
Bill 852 seeks to build off the task force's findings and recommendations by mandating that California courts fight what it describes as racial bias in sentencing that can disadvantage Black people and other minorities.
Critics argue the reparations proposals are fiscally unmanageable for a state already facing a deficit of tens of billions of dollars and say it doesn't make sense to implement them when California never allowed slavery. The state explicitly outlawed slavery when it joined the Union in 1850.
Jones-Sawyer didn't respond to a request for comment to elaborate on his legislation. However, when asked about the bill, a fellow member of the Public Safety Committee told Fox News Digital that the justice system should be color blind rather than make decisions with one's race in mind.
"Our justice system is intended to focus on accountability for behavior without racial considerations," said Assembly Member Tom Lackey, a Republican. "The voice of victims and any potential repercussions for public safety should be our highest consideration when making decisions that directly impact California communities."

This'll work out well. Gavin Newsome has mandated that all new vehicles sold in CA must be electric by 2035, so they can use the EV's to start the fires with instead of matches like they're doing now.
