I haven't read it in any Israeli or Jewish links but the name "Operation Grim Beeper" is starting to come up and I think it's just freakin' hilarious.

Israel Did Not Intercept Hezbollah Pagers That Exploded — It Made Them.

Unbeknownst to Hezbollah, Israel had been secretly manufacturing the pagers that Hezbollah was buying for years.
Israel has injured thousands across Lebanon, with hundreds in critical condition and dozens more dead, this week in two waves of simultaneous explosions of electronic communications equipment targeting Iranian-backed Hezbollah terrorists.
The blasts — which may have killed 19 and wounded 150 of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) members — started on Tuesday afternoon around 3:30 p.m. local time when pagers used by Hezbollah started beeping with a message from their leadership.
After a few beeps, the pagers simultaneously exploded across the country, blinding hundreds, tearing off limbs, and leaving gaping holes in bodies.

The messages that the devices received were not from Hezbollah leadership; they were from Israel’s intelligence and military apparatus, and they were part of a multi-year plan.
There was initial confusion as to what happened when the explosions were reported. Various news reports said that malware had potentially been uploaded to the devices, causing the batteries to overheat and explode. Then reports surfaced claiming a small amount of highly explosive material had been placed into each device after Israel intercepted the devices after they were manufactured by a Taiwanese company.
However, none of those reports were accurate, according to a New York Times report that revealed that Israel never intercepted the pagers — it made them.
Hezbollah has forced tens of thousands of Israelis to evacuate their homes in northern Israel since October 7 as the terrorist group fires drones, rockets, and missiles on a regular basis — having fired many thousands in nearly 12 months.
Israel has responded with precision strikes, killing more than 300 top Hezbollah commanders and numerous lower-level terrorists.
Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah pushed for the terrorists to abandon their phones and switch to low-tech pagers to avoid being tracked by Israel. Nasrallah had bragged that his strategy would “blind” Israel.
However, unbeknownst to Hezbollah, Israel had been secretly manufacturing the pagers that Hezbollah was buying for years.
The Taiwanese company Gold Apollo had contracted with a company called B.A.C. Consulting in Hungary to manufacture the pagers. B.A.C. Consulting was one of three shell companies that Israel created to mask the true manufacturer of the communications equipment: Israeli intelligence.
B.A.C. Consulting created real pagers for numerous customers to create the perception of a legitimate company in order to get picked up for the contract to produce the pagers for Hezbollah.
The pagers manufactured for Hezbollah were separate from those made for other clients, the report said. The pagers that Hezbollah received “contained batteries laced with the explosive PETN” and began shipping in 2022, the report said.
After the first round of explosions on Tuesday, Israel struck again on Wednesday, detonating Hezbollah’s backup communications equipment: walkie-talkies.
The explosions from the walkie-talkies were significantly larger than the explosions from the pagers because the devices were larger, meaning they could be packed with more explosive material. Videos posted online showed entire apartment units blown out and numerous cars engulfed in flames.
After the second wave of explosions, many in Lebanon threw their phones away, turned them off, or removed the batteries.
The walkie-talkies that Hezbollah used appeared to be from the Japanese telecommunications manufacturer Icom; however, the company said that the model Hezbollah was using had been discontinued for a decade.
The company said that it had warned consumers for years that the model of radios that Hezbollah purchased were counterfeits.
One of the goals behind the second wave of the attack was to “increase paranoia and fear in Hezbollah’s ranks, in an attempt to press the militia’s leadership to change its policy regarding the conflict with Israel,” Axios reported.
IDF Chief of Staff, Lt. Col. Herzi Halevi, said that Israel was “very determined to create the security conditions that will return the residents to their homes, to the communities, with a high level of security, and we are ready to do all that is required to bring about these things.”
He warned Hezbollah: “We still have many capabilities that we have not yet activated. We saw some of these things here, and it seems to me that the readiness is good and we are preparing these plans going forward. The rule is that every time we work on a certain stage, the next two stages are already ready to advance. At each stage, the price for Hezbollah must be high.”

Rep. Rashida Tlaib (H – Gaza) reacted to the pager attacks that injured a large percentage and killed a number of the Hezbollah Islamic terrorist organization and the memes that arose out of it by tweeting that it’s “disgusting”.

Tlaib is understandably upset at Islamic terrorists being wounded and dying. And by American infidels making fun of them.

But a bad day for Tlaib is a good day for America and the rest of the free world.
America certainly has had its share of enemy sympathizers in Congress, but the Squad has blessed us with actual enemies sitting in Congress. It’s as if we had actual Soviet commissars sitting in Congress during the Cold War.

https://jihadwatch.org/2024/09/rep-rashida-tlaib-condemns-hezbollah-pager-memes

(These are just a FEW of the comments on her page. I did see one or two expressing sympathy out of hundreds of comments. I wasted too much time reading and laughing at these.)

Disgusting is terrorists who launched rockets and killed 12 children in Israel. But you didn’t condemn that, right?

Were any of your staff members injured by the pagers?

Some beepers did some things.

Sorry for your loss of donors...

What Hamas did to Israel is disgusting!

A US CongressCritter siding with terrorists really is disgusting.

Your team took a huge L today. It's natural to feel disappointment.

We’re very sorry that your loved ones in Hezbollah will not be able to reproduce.

It isn't like the pagers were used by the general population. They were used by Hezbollah specifically to avoid Israeli detection. This is the cleanest possible operation against terrorists a country could make. That you are angry about it speaks volumes.

Thank you for confirming Lebanon is infested with terrorists, who happened to be in grocery stores, barber shops etc.

Terrorists were killed! Stop with your bullshit!

Wait until they go to pop a movie in the VHS player.

Beep .. beep ………. Beep .. beep ……..

Don’t want a pager bomb? Don’t want to risk the lives of those near you? Don’t be a terrorist and shop at the terrorist supply store.

Yes, Hezbollah is disgusting. So are their supporters.

Why was a little girl given a Hezbollah pager?

If you were silent as people celebrated the mass-murder, rape, kidnap and savagery of October 7 last year, you have no right to criticize those celebrating the successful targeting of Hezbollah fighters today.

You're not even Lebanese, but I am, and unlike you, I have NO SYMPATHY for Hezbollah or how they treat the Lebanese people. Like Hamas, they use their people as shields. You should be focused on the residents of my state, Michigan, and how you and your party has destroyed the state.

FAFO

Are none of your friends answering your pages?

If only terrorist use pagers … isn’t it disgusting that there was 4,000 exploding terrorists.

Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. Oh dear... Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. Paging Hezbollah…… There's no answer. Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha …

I think it’s disgusting that there are terrorists in grocery stores, barber shops, and all sorts of urban spaces in Lebanon.

Beep, beep ..... Beep, beep ..... BOOM

Hundreds of Hezbollah members wounded in Lebanon in mass pager hack.
Reports from Arab and Israeli media have said that over 1,200 people have been wounded.

UPDATE: Lebanese Health Ministry says 8 people have been killed, including the son of a Hezbollah member of the Lebanese Parliament, and as many as 2,700 injured.

Hundreds of members of the Lebanese terrorist group Hezbollah were seriously wounded on Tuesday in Lebanon's south and the southern suburbs of Beirut when the pagers they use to communicate exploded, security sources told Reuters.
A Reuters journalist saw 10 Hezbollah members bleeding from wounds in the southern suburb of Beirut known as Dahiyeh.
Iranian ambassador Mojtaba Amani was reportedly injured in the explosion, according to state-owned Mehr News.
A senior Lebanese security source told Al-Hadath that Israel infiltrated the communication system of individual devices and detonated them.
According to reports, the phones were called before the explosion for some period of seconds to increase the chance that whoever received the call would pick it up and be maximally wounded.
The pagers detonated were the latest model brought in by Hezbollah in recent months, three security sources told Reuters.
A Hezbollah official cited by the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) said that hundreds of members had such pager devices, and speculated that malware could have caused the device to heat up and explode. The same official cited by the WSJ reported that some people felt the pagers heat up, disposing of them before they exploded.
Additionally, the same report by WSJ quoted Hezbollah officials stating that the number of casualties was rising too quickly to count.
A Hezbollah official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the detonation of the pagers was the "biggest security breach" the group had been subjected to in nearly a year of war with Israel.

A Reuters journalist saw ambulances rushing through the southern suburbs of the capital, Beirut, amid widespread panic. Residents said explosions were taking place even 30 minutes after the initial blasts.
Lebanon's Health Ministry urged health workers to head to hospitals, according to the Arab media channel NBN.
An Al-Jazeera security source confirmed that communication devices carried by Hezbollah operatives exploded in several areas across Lebanon, not only in Beirut but also in Beqaa and southern Lebanon. Another Lebanese security source claimed that Israel hacked into Hezbollah's radio communication system and caused the explosions.
According to Al-Hadath, the IDF remotely detonated the communication devices using advanced technology. However, Israel has not taken responsibility for the explosions.
Hossein Mortada, a Hezbollah-affiliated journalist who works for the Syrian news agency Al-Alam, told individuals and media in Lebanon not to post any videos or photos of the event, especially of the wounded, in a post to X (Twitter).

Reuters contributed to this report. This is a developing story.

SUV explodes after man tries to light a cigarette near propane canisters.
(Something was obviously on or leaking.)

An SUV parked in a Van Nuys parking lot on Thursday night suddenly exploded after the driver lit a cigarette next to some propane canisters he stored inside.
Firefighters and police rushed to a supermarket parking lot in the 7200 block of Van Nuys Boulevard after receiving a call about an SUV that exploded around 10:30 p.m., police said. When first responders arrived, the man told them he had been trying to light a cigarette when the explosion happened. Investigators said he was living in the vehicle during the explosion.
He suffered minor injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Pieces of the parked vehicle flew in every direction, one of which lodged into a nearby tree. The explosion left the Toyota SUV mostly in mangled pieces. The sound of the explosion could be heard at least a few blocks away, according to a man who lives around the corner from the parking lot, who said it was "like an earthquake rattling the windows."
"But it was gone as soon as it started," said Ken Smith, adding that he looked out his window and saw his neighbors standing outside their home and looking around after the loud boom.
LAPD closed the parking lot following the detonation.
No other details have been released by authorities.

 SS John Burke

During WWII Liberty ships carried weapons, ammunition, food, tools, hardware, vehicles, and other things for the war effort. They could also be equipped to carry a large number of troops by rigging bunks in the holds similar to those used by the armed guard. Liberty ships began taking troops and materials wherever they were needed, crossing both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. Like other Liberty Ships, John Burke transported war materials between the United States and the rear areas of the Pacific War, often calling at Pearl Harbor, Australia, Guadalcanal, Hollandia and Manaus.
On what would be her final trip in late 1944, Burke departed Seattle, Washington for Guam, where she spent several days loading munitions for the invasion force on the island of Mindoro.
Burke then departed with the 100-ship "Uncle Plus 13" convoy, bound for Leyte in the Philippines. The convoy arrived at Leyte the night of December 27.
On the morning of December 28, 1944, Burke and the other ships in the Mindoro-bound convoy were at general quarters shortly after receiving the dawn weather report that reported that air cover would not launch until the poor weather cleared. The crews began their wait for the inevitable arrival of Japanese aircraft.
At about 0815 hours, the first kamikaze appeared on the American ships' radar, and orders were given for the convoy to begin evasive maneuvering. Through holes in the clouds, the Japanese pilots sighted the American force as it steamed south of Cebu and Bohol Islands. The Japanese aircraft were three A6M Zero fighters of the 201st Air Group, which had taken off from Cebu at 0950 were led by Lt. Masami Hoshino and each carried a 250 kg bomb. At approximately 1020 hours, diving through anti-aircraft fire and despite damage to his aircraft, a Japanese kamikaze, chose the ammunition ship SS John Burke as his target and crashed between Burke's #2 and #3 cargo holds.

A brief flash of fire was visible to most of the ships in the convoy, and for several seconds, only smoke could be seen billowing from her hold. A few seconds later, a huge pillar of fire shot out of Burke's cargo hold, followed by an immense cloud of white smoke. Within seconds all eyes were drawn to Burke where an enormous fireball erupted as her entire cargo of munitions detonated, instantly destroying the ship and killing her crew of 40 merchant marine sailors and 28 or 29 armed guards. For several seconds, Burke was not visible under an enormous mushroom cloud of smoke, fire and explosions. Several ships nearby were damaged by the force of the blast and flying fragments. The shock wave rocked the entire convoy, and several ships reported that they had been torpedoed. A US Army "FS" type ship just aft of Burke was severely damaged by the blast, sinking before it could be identified. As the cloud of smoke cleared, nearby ships closed on Burke's former position to search for survivors. It was soon clear that Burke, and all 68 men aboard her, were gone.
It's one of the most powerful manmade non-nuclear explosions in history.
John Burke was one of three Liberty Ships and one of forty-seven ships sunk by kamikaze attack during World War II.

Semi Truck Explodes, Injuring 9 Los Angeles Firefighters.

Multiple Los Angeles firefighters were injured on Thursday morning while responding to a fire involving a pressurized cylinder on a semi truck that exploded as they worked to extinguish the flames.
The explosion happened around 7 a.m. local time while fire crews were battling flames from one of the truck’s two compressed 100-gallon natural gas tanks.
“The unique aspect of this vehicle is that it’s not run on diesel or gasoline, but it is actually propelled with CNG, or compressed natural gas,” said LAFD Capt. Erik Scott. “The explosion was significant. The ball of flame was as high as these telephone poles, and it actually did explode one of the transformers nearby.”
Video of the incident showed the powerful explosion shooting up a quick fireball that quickly dissipated likely due to the fuel source being natural gas.

https://twitter.com/TheInsiderPaper/status/1758181985351029055?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1758181985351029055%7Ctwgr%5E67a9dbf555301949e1eaaa892841fdae63db0984%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.dailywire.com%2Fnews%2Fwatch-semi-truck-explodes-injuring-9-los-angeles-firefighters

The Los Angeles Times reported that nine firefighters were taken to UCLA Medical Center with injures from the explosion, including two who were in critical condition.
The semi truck was completely obliterated from the explosion and the status of its driver remains unknown. The explosion happened roughly 13 minutes after the call came in for emergency crews.
Officials said that they were not sure about the circumstances that led to the incident.
“The surrounding circumstances that led up to this tragic incident are still too new,” Scott said.
Video taken from a helicopter of the aftermath showed debris scattered in all directions.

“This is a difficult day in Los Angeles,” Mayor Karen Bass said during a news conference at the hospital where the firefighters were being treated. “I’m here with a simple message to our firefighters in the building behind me and in fire stations across our city watching the news this morning unfold. The four million people of Los Angeles stand with you.”
Dr. Molly Deane, a trauma surgeon at Harbor UCLA Medical Center, said that it was a miracle that some of the firefighters were not “more severely injured” from the explosion.

Nitrous Bottle Explosion: What Causes It?
July 19, 2022

By now, you may have seen pictures circulating on social media that depict the result of a Pontiac G8 being blown apart by a nitrous bottle explosion. So what happened?
At first glance, it’s obvious that the bottle was in the car’s trunk, which is normal. However, since this incident took place in Florida, and during the summer months, temperatures inside vehicles can reach well over 100 degrees. And heat is what builds pressure in a nitrous bottle, but there’s more to this story because this failure is not an expected result of an over-pressured bottle.
These types of bottle failures are not the normal result of overpressure.
One picture shows a solid plug in place of the factory pressure relief fitting. The bottle in this photo has no way of relieving overpressure.
Luckily, there were no deaths involved in this incident. Although the occupants did sustain injuries that required a trip to the hospital.

According to Nitrous Outlet, all nitrous bottles, when new, contain a pressure relief fitting on the side of the valve that includes a burst disc. The disc is rated to rupture if the pressure in the bottle exceeds 3,000 psi, at which point the bottle contents are evacuated through the pressure relief fitting. Bottle operating, or service pressure as it’s called in the industry, is 1,800 psi. DOT certification is 3,000 psi hence the disc rating. When the burst disc functions correctly, the result is expelled nitrous oxide and not an exploded nitrous bottle which points to another problem.
Although it is not confirmed, it is worth mentioning that using a torch to heat a nitrous bottle is never acceptable. The melting point of aluminum is 1,221 degrees Fahrenheit. Common consumer-grade butane torches can have a flame temperature of up to approximately 2600 degrees Fahrenheit. Using a torch to heat the bottle up to the desired pressure can distort and weaken the aluminum. Properly installed electric bottle heaters and bottle baths are the safest ways to heat up your nitrous bottles.
In addition to the safety measure installed on new bottle valves, each bottle is stamped with a manufacturer’s certification date. According to Nitrous Outlet, aluminum bottles are supposed to be re-certified every five years. The bottle in question shows a stamp of “04C06,” meaning it was made during the fourth month of 2006. There don’t appear to be any other stamps on the bottle. So it seems that it’s 11 years out of certification.
Although instances like this bottle failure are not commonplace, bottles like this one can be found being used more often than one might think. For this reason, Nitrous Outlet began its Bottle Trade-In Program in 2014.
The program works by customers sending in their nitrous bottles to Nitrous Outlet that are outdated, torched, damaged, or abused. The customer receives $100 off the purchase of a new Nitrous Outlet bottle with their billet high flow valve.
The Nitrous Outlet Bottle Trade-In Program has successfully removed hundreds of outdated, damaged, and potentially faulty bottles from circulation. So give them a call if you require a new bottle and avoid this potentially life-threatening experience.
