Democrat New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell Indicted

Democrat New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell was indicted by a federal grand jury on Friday, August 15, marking the first time in the city’s history that a sitting mayor is facing criminal prosecution.
A federal grand jury indicted Cantrell and former New Orleans Police officer Jeffrey Vappie after an investigation by the FBI.
“Cantrell is charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud, conspiracy to obstruct justice, making false statements and false declaration before a grand jury, according to a federal indictment filed Friday in the U.S. District Court in the Eastern District of Louisiana,” NBC News reported.

The mayor’s legal troubles come after more than two years of mounting criticism including; an alleged romantic relationship involving her former executive security officer, a legal battle with a New Orleans resident who took photos of the alleged relationship, a legal battle with New orleans Public Schools over a broken multi-million dollar funding promise, the indictment of a former city inspector who allegedly bribed her with Saints tickets, and frequent travel amid an ongoing jail escape and in the aftermath of a mass power outage.

Last year it was reported that LaToya Cantrell was under FBI investigation for allegations of an ‘ongoing adulterous affair’ with Jeffrey Vappie, the former head of her police detail, and potential misuse of taxpayer funds, according to the Daily Mail.

The FBI scrutinized the mayor’s actions, including her time spent with Vappie on city property and during personal trips funded by the government.
Security footage has allegedly captured Mayor Cantrell and Vappie spending extensive periods together in a city-owned apartment during work hours, raising questions about the nature of their relationship.
This revelation comes amidst an investigation into Vappie’s work hours and activities.

In 2023, Vappie was accused of multiple incidents of timesheet discrepancies while serving on Mayor Cantrell’s security detail. This accusation partly stemmed from WVUE-TV’s reports on the mayor’s use of an Upper Pontalba apartment on Jackson Square. In response, the City Council prohibited the mayor from using the apartment as a personal residence.
According to the New Orleans Advocate, the investigation by the New Orleans Police Department concluded that Vappie breached departmental regulations by logging 18 hours of work in a single day. Additionally, he was cited for spending “numerous hours” in the company of Mayor Cantrell beyond his scheduled duty hours, and for participating in two board meetings as the mayor’s appointee on the Board of the Housing Authority of New Orleans.
The allegations have been fueled by Danielle Vappie’s divorce filings, which imply an affair between her husband and Cantrell dating back in May 2021, coinciding with the start of Vappie’s tenure on Cantrell’s security detail.

Cantrell was previously under fire for spending more than $30,000 of taxpayer money to fly first class to Europe.
Cantrell argued the first class flights were for her safety as a black woman and to protect her from Covid.

Tom Homan Has A “Game On” Message For Mamdani

New York Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani's apparent victory in New York City's Democrat mayoral primary has sparked a national conversation surrounding what it would mean for the future of the Big Apple - and the Democrat  Party - were the Democrat Socialist party member to get elected in November.
Among the things he's pledged to do if elected are rent freezes, city-owned grocery stores, raising the minimum wage to $30 by 2030, and "Trump-proofing" NYC, which would include ending all cooperation with ICE and "strengthening" Resistance efforts on behalf of illegal immigrants.
"He’ll ensure our immigrant New Yorkers are protected by strengthening our sanctuary city apparatus: getting ICE out of all City facilities and ending any cooperation, increasing legal support, and protecting all personal data," it was noted on Mamdani's platform page.
Naturally, such vows have gotten the attention of border czar Tom Homan, who said in a Fox News interview that federal law enforcement officials would be "doubling down and tripling down" on immigration enforcement in sanctuary cities like NYC and knew how to do end runs, if necessary, around whatever Mamdani has in store if elected:

Who Will The Muslim Commie Nominee For NYC Mayor Run Against In November?

Zohran Mamdani pulled off a seismic upset in New York City's Democratic mayoral primary, amassing a 7-point margin over former Gov. Andrew Cuomo in results as of Wednesday morning.
Now, with the competitive primary out of the way, focus is shifting to the general election in November, where Mamdani will face the city's current mayor, a Republican candidate and, possibly, battle against Cuomo once more.
Since 2021, primaries in the city have used ranked choice voting, a system that allows residents to vote for up to five candidates from their most preferred to least. If no candidate gets more than 50% of first-place votes, then the least-popular candidate is eliminated and their supporters' votes are redistributed to other candidates based on their lower-ranked preferences. Mamdani did not reach the 50% threshold, but leads with 44% of first-place votes, with 96% of ballots counted on June 25, with Cuomo amassing 36%.
Mamdani will likely face four other candidates in the fall: current Mayor Eric Adams, Republican and founder of the Guardian Angels, Curtis Sliwa, former federal prosecutor Jim Walden, and possibly Andrew Cuomo.

I Would Love To See Curtis Sliwa Elected Mayor Of NYC

New York City would be extremely lucky if they could possibly elect this man as mayor. Curtis Sliwa has lived in, loved, and protected NY for longer than I can remember. Check out Curtis Sliwa and/or The Guardian Angels if you doubt his love of NY. He probably can't beat the machine but NY couldn't pick a better man right now. NY is dying and Mamdani will shove the city harder and faster to the death bed.
