Trump Admin Tells Congress Hamas-Linked UNRWA Must Be Dismantled

‘Irredeemably Compromised’

The Trump administration has formally determined that the U.N. Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), the Hamas-linked humanitarian group, cannot be salvaged and must be disbanded, according to a non-public notification transmitted to Congress and obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.
The State Department "has not funded UNRWA since January 2024, does not have any ongoing programming with UNRWA, and is maintaining a policy of minimal contact with" the organization, according to the July 29 notice transmitted to Congress. "The Administration has determined UNRWA is irredeemably compromised and now seeks its full dismantlement."
The Trump administration’s assessment indicates the United States has fully lost faith in UNRWA after months of revelations that at least a dozen agency employees participated in Hamas’s Oct. 7, 2023, massacres and worked alongside the terror group in Gaza. The move formally codifies the administration's position that UNRWA must be dismantled and starts the process of working toward that goal.
Hamas has continued to steal UNRWA aid supplies and resell them on the black market, the Free Beacon reported on Thursday, with armed Hamas members hijacking trucks carrying goods meant to make their way to Gaza’s civilian population. At least 12 percent of all U.N. employees in Gaza are members of Hamas or other terrorist organizations, and many of the workers identified for the Free Beacon as Hamas members drive the aid trucks themselves.
While UNRWA has promised to implement widespread reforms, its continued failure to stop Hamas from exploiting U.N.-controlled aid channels—alongside its relationship with the terror group—demonstrates that there cannot be a future for the agency in Gaza, according to a senior State Department official.
"UNRWA exists to provide cover for Hamas," the official said. "They are completely corrupt and should be disbanded."

Mahmoud Khalil Lied On Visa Application

Things just went from bad to worse for Mahmoud Khalil, the anti-semitic, terrorist-supporting agitator at Columbia University who was recently taken into custody by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials and placed on the short list for repatriation back to Algeria. Pending a court order, of course.
Khalil, as you'll recall, became the pet cause of the left after his detainment, with Democrats absolutely losing it over a guy who has spent the time since October 7 advocating for the wholesale destruction of Israel and making Jewish Columbia students scared for their safety. All while here in the United States on a student visa.
As it so happens, Khalil, a green card holder, allegedly lied on his visa application by failing to reveal his membership in, drumroll please, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees, commonly known as UNRWA. UNRWA is one of the world's chief bad actors and hides its terrorist-loving ways under the guise of being a charity. A charity that may have allowed Israeli hostages to be held captive in its facilities by Hamas terrorists. So there's that.
UNRWA is so closely aligned with the big three "H" terror groups—Hezbollah, Houthis and Hamas—that President Trump pulled all funding from the organization back in February. Yes, your taxpayer dollars, to the tune of tens of millions of smackeroos, were funding what the Trump White House basically confirmed as being a quasi-terrorist organization.
“UNRWA has reportedly been infiltrated by members of groups long designated by the Secretary of State (Secretary) as foreign terrorist organizations, and UNRWA employees were involved in the October 7, 2023, Hamas attack on Israel.” - Trump White House
And guess who spent time as a "political affairs officer" for UNRWA as recently as the end of 2023? Our good friend Mahmoud Khalil, that's who.
Lawyers for the Trump Department of Justice (DOJ) filed court papers over the weekend alleging Khalil's ties to UNRWA were justification enough for him to be repatriated back to Algeria. But, wait, there's more.
“The DOJ also alleges that Khalil did not reveal he was working at the Syria Office in the British Embassy in Beirut, Lebanon, when he applied for his visa, or that he was a member of Columbia University Apartheid Divest — an anti-Israel group that set off protests at the Ivy League school.” Trump DOJ
This guy should have never been here, yet Democrats and their chums in the judiciary seem intent on dying on this hill, bizarrely maintaining that Khalil's First Amendment rights are being violated. As the DOJ notes, “Khalil’s First Amendment allegations are a red herring" by the left, and freedom of speech does not "overcome the executive’s prerogative and control over immigration."
Meanwhile, as the DOJ was taking steps to send Khalil back to where he came from, the braintrust over at CBS Sunday Morning ran a cloying interview with his pregnant American wife, Noor Abdalla, portraying her as a victim of the mean old Trump administration.
Imagine how terrified those Israeli hostages being held captive in UNRWA facilities must have felt? And possibly still feel?
Mahmoud Khalil's case is a stark reminder of the dangers of allowing bad actors to exploit America's immigration system while pushing extremist agendas. As the Trump DOJ moves forward with his repatriation, it’s clear that Khalil’s time in the U.S. is running out—no matter how much his media and political allies try to spin it otherwise.

IDF Kills Hamas Terrorist Who Murdered Dozens In Shelter … Surprise …

He was a UNRWA employee.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced Thursday that it had killed a Hamas commander who led the attack on dozens of civilians on October 7, 2023, who had fled the Nova music festival and hidden in roadside shelters.
In addition to being a mass murderer, the IDF said, Mohammad Abu Itiwi had also worked for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA).
The IDF and Israel Security Agency (ISA, or Shabak, or Shin Bet) said in a statement:
Yesterday (Wednesday), in a joint IDF and ISA operation, the IAF struck and eliminated the terrorist Mohammad Abu Itiwi, a Nukhba commander in the Al Bureij Battalion of Hamas’ Central Camps Brigade. Mohammad Abu Itiwi has also been employed by UNRWA since July 2022.
On October 7th, Mohammad Abu Itiwi was involved in the murder and abduction of Israeli civilians. Abu Itiwi led the murderous attack on the bomb shelter on Route 232 in the area of Re’im in southern Israel.
Throughout the war, Abu Itiwi directed and carried out numerous attacks on IDF troops operating in the Gaza Strip.
Following the incident, representatives of COGAT solicited clarifications from senior officials in the UN and international community and requested an urgent investigation into the involvement of UNRWA employees in the October 7th Massacre.
The IDF also provided documentation with evidence that Mohammed Abu Itiwi had been employed by UNRWA.
The shelters were the scenes of some of the most brutal murders on October 7. Many such shelters, made of concrete, stand alongside bus stops in southern Israel, due to the threat of rocket fire that existed for years before October 7.
Hundreds of young people escaping the attack on the Nova festival instinctively ran to the shelters — and that is where Hamas chased them, throwing grenades into the shelters and spraying AK-47 machine gun fire into them.
There were very few survivors; those who did survive were often kidnapped, and held as hostages by Hamas in Gaza.

Good News From The Terrorist Organization Of UNRWA

UNRWA headquarters in Jerusalem to be seized.

The entire UNRWA area in Ma'alot Dafna, Jerusalem, is set to be expropriated and turned into 1,440 housing units.
The Israel Land Authority (ILA) is seizing the land of UNRWA's headquarters in Jerusalem, in order to build 1,440 housing units.
As the extent of UNRWA and its employees' collaboration in the massacre at Gaza border communities by Hamas and their role in providing assistance for murder, kidnapping, and more continues to be revealed, a significant step has been taken for the first time against the refugee agency.
According to information released to the public today, the entire UNRWA area in Ma'alot Dafna, Jerusalem, is slated to become a housing project with 1,440 units, and the project is in its preparatory stages. It should be noted that over the past year, families of kidnapped civilians and fallen IDF soldiers, alongside organizations such as "Im Tirtzu" and others, have protested in front of the UNRWA headquarters in Jerusalem, demanding the closure of the agency's office, which has operated in the city without interference.
Philippe Lazzarini, UNRWA's Commissioner-General, warned the UN Security Council yesterday (Wednesday) about the possible consequences of an Israeli bill that seeks to ban the agency's activities in Israel: "Legislation to end our operations is ready for final adoption by the Israeli Knesset. It seeks to ban UNRWA's presence and operations in the territory of Israel, revoking its privileges and immunities, in violation of international law. If the bills are adopted, the consequences will be severe."
"Operationally, the entire humanitarian response in Gaza, which rests on UNRWA's infrastructure, may disintegrate", added Lazzarini.

Hamas Leader Killed In Israeli Air Strike Was United Nations Employee

Fateh Sherif was, supposedly, an educator — the principal of Deir Yassin Secondary School. He was also an employee of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine (UNRWA.) Sherif also moonlighted as a Hamas leader, responsible for coordinating Hamas actions with Hezbollah, including recruiting and logistics operations.
Now he's been shuffled off the mortal coil by the Israeli Air Force after an air strike eliminated him, and the UNRWA is finally admitting he was one of theirs.
A U.N. aid group confirmed Hamas’ leader in Lebanon, who was recently killed by Israeli strikes, was their employee.
Fateh Sherif was killed Monday in an airstrike on the al-Bass refugee camp in the southern Lebanese city of Tyre, along with his wife and children.
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) noted that Sherif had been on suspension with the organization since March but had not been fired.
"Fateh Al Sharif was an UNRWA employee who was put on administrative leave without pay in March and was undergoing an investigation following allegations that UNRWA received about his political activities," an UNRWA spokesperson said in a statement to Fox News Digital.
At the time, his suspension sparked widespread protests and strikes by teachers in Lebanon.
What a fine example he set for little Lebanese schoolkids! It's important to note that Sherif had been living this not-so-subtle double life for some time now, and the UNRWA seemed to notice only after they came under scrutiny for some of their members providing support for, if not actually taking part in the Oct 7th attacks on Israel — and for stealing and reselling humanitarian aid meant for non-Hamas Gazans.
This goblin was ideally situated, we must note, to not only brainwash kids but to recruit them.
Sherif was the principal of the UNRWA-run Deir Yassin Secondary School in al-Bass and head of the UNRWA teachers’ union, which has around 2,000 teachers.
"Through that position, and as principal of a large UNRWA school, he was able to recruit operatives, and to brainwash generations of Palestinians to engage in terrorism," Hillel Neuer, executive director of UN Watch, told Fox News Digital.
Neuer and his organization had long pushed U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and UNRWA chief Philippe Lazzarini to fire Sherif and said they provided both with a dossier proving his involvement in Hamas.
"Everyone at UNRWA knew. Yet they refused to act," Neuer said.
We can speculate as to why UNRWA refused to act, but all of this is part of the larger problem: the United Nations as a whole. The United Nations has, as an organization, not only been hostile in recent years to Israel but also to the United States. They are an organization that has long since outlived any usefulness they ever had.
The UN, I remind you, less than a year ago, chose Iran to chair a human rights meeting. Yes, you read that right — Iran, one of the most brutally repressive Islamic theocracies on the planet, was tapped to not only participate in but to chair a UN meeting on human rights. You can't make this stuff up.
Oh, and guess whose daughter raised funds for the terrorist-supporting UNRWA?
If you're surprised, you shouldn't be.
It's time Israel got out of the United Nations. It's time the United States did so as well. Let what's left of the UN establish a new headquarters in Tehran; they may feel more at home there.

IDF killed Hamas terrorists inside a command and control center that was formerly a school. At least 3 jihadis were UN employees.

The United Nations frenziedly condemned a new Israel Defense Forces (IDF) strike as one of Israel’s “dramatic violations of international humanitarian law.” The problem is that the UN workers killed were also Hamas terrorists.
The UN and many other organizations and governments love to emphasize that the IDF strikes schools and “aid workers.” What they are not telling you is that Hamas jihadis have long used schools and other “civilian” buildings in Gaza as terrorist bases and that the “aid workers” almost always turn out to be active terrorists. That appears to be the case once again with the IDF strike this week, where at least three UNRWA “workers” killed were Hamas jihadis.
UNRWA is absolutely infested with Hamas operatives, according to international human rights lawyer Hillel Neuer. As JihadWatch has noted, terrorists specifically place military targets in humanitarian zones so that, if IDF strikes, they can immediately condemn Israel. So whenever the UN starts wailing that the IDF causelessly killed their humanitarian workers while they were operating a school or shelter, always fact-check that claim. It will almost certainly turn out to be false.
According to the state of Israel, which is a more reliable source on these topics than is the Hamas-loving UN, so far the confirmed casualties in the precision strike are terrorists — including at least three UNRWA “workers.”

The school:

UN chief Antonio Guterres, who lies and funds terrorists for a living, mourned, “What's happening in Gaza is totally unacceptable. A school turned shelter for around 12,000 people was hit by Israeli airstrikes again today. Six of our @UNRWA colleagues are among those killed. These dramatic violations of international humanitarian law need to stop now.”
The school was reportedly not a “humanitarian shelter” so much as it was a Hamas base. Israel will even endanger its own men rather than kill Gazan civilians, despite the fact that the majority of Gazans strongly support Hamas and jihad.
The state of Israel posted on X, “IDF: Yesterday (Wednesday), with the direction of IDF and ISA intelligence, the IAF conducted a precise strike on terrorists who were operating inside a command and control center embedded within a compound that previously served as the Al Jaouni School in the area of Nuseirat in central Gaza.” It’s all too typical for Hamas to turn schools into Hamas bases.
Israel’s post continued, “Upon receiving reports claiming that local Palestinian UNRWA workers were killed as a result of the strike, the IDF requested that the agency provide details and names of the workers, in order to thoroughly review the claim. To date, no answers have been provided by UNRWA despite repeated requests.”
But three UNRWA employees have been confirmed among the terrorists killed. The state of Israel provided a list:

Thus far, a number of Hamas terrorists were confirmed to have been eliminated in the strike, including:
1. Aysar Karadia, a terrorist in Hamas' Military Wing and Internal Security Forces.
2. Muhammad Adnan Abu Zayd, a terrorist in Hamas' Military Wing who was responsible for launching mortars at IDF troops and the State of Israel, previously served as an operative in Hamas’ naval forces, and was simultaneously an UNRWA employee.
3. Bassem Majed Shaheen, the head of a terrorist cell in Hamas' Military Wing who took part in the October 7th Massacre in southern Israel.
4. Amar al-Jadili, a terrorist in Hamas' Military Wing and Internal Security Forces.
5. Akram Saber al-Ghalaydi, a terrorist in Hamas' Military Wing and Internal Security Forces.
6. Muhammad Issa Abu al-Amir, a terrorist in Hamas' Military Wing who took part in the October 7th Massacre in southern Israel.
7. Sharif Salam, a terrorist in Hamas' Military Wing.
8. Yasser Ibrahim Abu Sharar, a terrorist in Hamas' Military Wing and an operative in Hamas' emergency bureau in Nuseirat, who was simultaneously an UNRWA employee.
9. Ayad Matar, a terrorist in Hamas' Military Wing and simultaneously an UNRWA employee.

U.N. Fires Multiple UNRWA Employees After Discovering Evidence Of Alleged Involvement In October 7 Attacks.

The United Nations said this week that nine male members of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) have been fired following an investigation over their alleged involvement in Hamas’ October 7 terrorist attacks.
Deputy spokesperson Farhan Haq told a U.N. briefing on Monday that “the evidence was sufficient to conclude that they may have been involved” in the unprecedented terrorist attack in which thousands of Palestinian terrorists stormed into Israel and murdered 1,200 people, wounded 5,000+, and took hundreds of people hostage.
The admission comes after UNRWA has denied the allegations for months and falsely labeled accusations as Israeli propaganda and “disinformation.”
The organization launched an investigation after Israeli authorities provided information linking numerous UNRWA workers to the Hamas terrorist organization and the October 7 attack.
“Any UNRWA employee who was involved in acts of terror will be held accountable, including through criminal prosecution,” claimed Philippe Lazzarini, UNRWA’s commissioner-general.
The U.S. State Department announced in January that in light of the evidence produced by Israel, the U.S. would cut funding to the organization.
“The United States is extremely troubled by the allegations that twelve UNRWA employees may have been involved in the October 7 Hamas terrorist attack on Israel,” said department spokesperson Matthew Miller. “The Department of State has temporarily paused additional funding for UNRWA while we review these allegations and the steps the United Nations is taking to address them.”
UNRWA facilitates the spreading of anti-Semitic propaganda via many avenues, the most troublesome of which is perhaps its production of educational materials for children inciting hatred of Jews. Other examples include Nazi-like cartoons shared on social media by its staff and promoting terrorist-supporting flotillas and violence against Israel. UNRWA has also allowed Hamas to use its facilities and has employed its members as staff.
Hillel Neuer, the Executive Director of UN Watch, told a congressional hearing back in November, “Teachers and schools at the United Nations Relief and Works Agency, which runs education and social services for Palestinians, regularly call to murder Jews, and create teaching materials that glorify terrorism, encourage martyrdom, demonize Israelis and incite antisemitism.”
“In 2022 alone, UNRWA received $344 million in U.S. funding,” Neuer continued. “Yet a March 2023 report by UN Watch and Impact-SE identified 133 UNRWA educators and staff who were found to promote hate and violence on social media, and an additional 82 teachers and other staff affiliated with 30 UNRWA schools who were involved in drafting and distributing hateful content to students.”
Jonathan Schanzer, the Senior Vice President for Research at the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies, said during the same hearing in November: “No organization exemplifies the UN’s nurturing of Palestinian grievances at the expense of Palestinians better than UNRWA.”
“The agency has over 30,000 employees,” he added. “UNRWA doesn’t screen them for ties to terrorist groups, meaning that many employees are members of or affiliated with Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, or other violent groups.”

Israeli parliament votes to label UN relief agency a terror organization.

The Knesset approves the first reading of a trio of bills aimed at shutting down UNRWA, amid a wave of popular anger against the United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees and their descendants in the wake of the October 7 attack and the ongoing war.
The first bill, which would ban the organization from operating on Israeli territory, passes 58-9.
The second, aimed at stripping UNRWA personnel of the legal immunities and privileges afforded to United Nations staff in Israel, passes 63-9.
The third, which would brand UNRWA — short for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East — a terrorist organization and require Israel to cut ties with it, passes 50-10.
All three bills will now be returned to the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee for preparation for the second and third readings necessary for the legislation to become law.
Yisrael Beytenu MK Yulia Malinovsky, who sponsored the legislation branding UNRWA a terrorist organization, welcomes the vote, stating that “there is not a day that the IDF spokesperson does not publish new findings from the field that link UNRWA to terrorism.”
The agency provides education, health and aid to millions of Palestinians in Gaza, the West Bank, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria. Israel alleges that some 10 percent of UNRWA’s staff in Gaza have ties to terror, and that educational facilities under the organization’s auspices consistently incite to hatred of Israel and glorify terror.
During the debate, New Hope lawmaker Sharren Haskel denounces the organization as the “cornerstone” of the conflict while MK Ofer Cassif, the only Jewish member of the Arab-majority Hadash-Ta’al party, argues that the bill will “block access to the education system” for many Palestinian children in East Jerusalem.

UNRWA Caught Stealing And Selling Humanitarian Aid For Gazans.
(Now why does not surprise me in the least.)

We already know that United Nations Relief and Works Agency employees are linked to Hamas and other Islamic terrorist groups.
According to the report, Palestinians claimed that staff working for the UN agency “have their homes full of aid.”
UNRWA has been caught stealing and then selling humanitarian aid that came into Gaza that was intended to be given to Palestinian civilians, UN Watch reported on Wednesday, citing reports published by Palestinians in “an UNRWA-related chatroom.”
The Watch report also claims that those who report UNRWA‘s actions with the humanitarian aid “face reprisals.”
According to the report, Palestinians claimed that staff working for the UN agency “have their homes full of aid.” Additionally, a UNRWA warehouse chief sold 50 cartons of food for $5,000.
Items such as pampers, canned sweets, and tissues were sold at a UNRWA school door. This comes amid statement by UNRWA Commissioner-General Phillipe Lazzarini, who was quoted in the UN Watch report saying “there is more food available… it still does not mean that the food is accessible” as he was calling countries to increase direct cash assistance to Gazans.
UN Watch documents this extensively which also notes plenty of anti-Semitism among UNRWA employees. None of this should be a surprise, because there is a long history of UN agencies being problematic, to put it mildly. There was the massive oil for food fraud involving Iraq and the UN. Peacekeepers assaulting and raping women in 3rd world nations. Theft of aid in those 3rd world nations. And so much more. Oh, and
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Shin Bet security agency announced on Sunday that it had conducted a strike on the command and control center belonging to the Hamas terrorist organization located within the UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees) compound in the central region of the Gaza Strip.
The IDF spokesperson stated that the strike was a response to recent terrorist activities directed towards IDF forces and humanitarian aid efforts.
Hmm, why was Hamas, a US State department, United Nations, and European Union designated terrorist organization, allowed to operate in a UNRWA building?

I Stand For Israel - DEATH TO Hamas

Okay I was just going through some of the Twitter/X accounts that I peruse and Dr. Eli David has been steadily tearing up Gaza and Hamas. I picked a few of my favorites and here they are. Some are screen shots without links and some are links to video clips. Enjoy. (Sorry, but I did not manage to preserve to the timeline integrity.)

Israel Gets Two Hostages Back After Ignoring Biden Administration.

While many Americans were watching the Super Bowl (and seeing the very timely anti-Semitism ad sponsored by Robert Kraft and his Foundation to Combat Antisemitism during the game), the Israel Defense Force was staging a rescue in Rafah, Gaza, that got out two older Israeli men who had been held as hostages since October 7th.

The details of the rescue are just amazing.

https://twitter.com/AmichaiStein1/status/1756875394454553063?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1756875394454553063%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fvictorygirlsblog.com%2Fisrael-gets-two-hostages-back-after-ignoring-biden-administration%2F

According to The Times of Israel, Louis Har is 70 years old, and Fernando Marman is 61 years old, and they are both in stable condition at an Israeli hospital.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eV5uMP_DPhU

Now, the fact that these two men were rescued out of Rafah is highly significant. It turns out that Joe Biden had just told Benjamin Netanyahu to stay out of Rafah in order to not mess up ongoing negotiations, and because Rafah is full of civilians who have fled from other parts of Gaza.
On Sunday, the White House said President Joe Biden had warned Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that Israel should not conduct a military operation against Hamas in Rafah without a “credible and executable” plan to protect civilians.
Discussion of the potential for a cease-fire agreement took up much of the call, a senior U.S. administration official said, and after weeks of diplomacy, a “framework” is now “pretty much” in place for a deal that could see the release of remaining hostages held by Hamas in exchange for a halt to fighting.
Biden and Netanyahu spoke after two Egyptian officials and a Western diplomat said Egypt threatened to suspend its peace treaty with Israel if troops are sent into Rafah, where Egypt fears fighting could push Palestinians into the Sinai Peninsula and force the closure of Gaza’s main aid supply route.
The threat to suspend the Camp David Accords, a cornerstone of regional stability for nearly a half-century, came after Netanyahu said sending troops into Rafah was necessary to win the four-month war against Hamas. He asserted that Hamas has four battalions there.
Over half of Gaza’s population of 2.3 million have fled to Rafah to escape fighting in other areas, and they are packed into tent camps and U.N.-run shelters. Egypt fears a mass influx of Palestinian refugees who may never be allowed to return.
So, to have IDF special forces get in and out of Rafah under cover of airstrikes, with only one injury and no casualties among the IDF, is both a huge boost for Israeli morale – and a huge problem for the Biden administration. Naturally, the “Gaza health ministry”, aka Hamas, is claiming “at least 50 Palestinians” were killed in the airstrikes, and that civilians were among the dead.
Women and children were among those killed in the Israeli strikes, according to Dr. Marwan al-Hams, director of the Abu Youssef al-Najjar hospital, and dozens were wounded.
Now, it is probable that civilians were killed, mostly because Hamas is HIDING THE HOSTAGES IN THE CIVILIAN POPULATION. Having the intelligence to find and extract these two men out of Rafah now absolutely justifies Netanyahu’s refusal to stay out. But Squad member Jamaal Bowman (D-Fire Alarm) is having a temper tantrum on Twitter/X about the incursion into Rafah – and conveniently leaves out the detail of the rescued hostages.

https://twitter.com/JamaalBowmanNY/status/1756889773803716961

Hilariously, the Reuters article that Bowman posts in his tweet is all about the rescued hostages. Why would Bowman not want to talk about the rescue of two older men from the clutches of Hamas captivity, and their safe return to Israel??? Hmmmm, that IS a puzzle! (Not really.)
The rescue of the hostages now put the Biden administration in a pickle of their own making. Biden’s comments about Israel during his implosion of a press conference last Thursday, coupled with Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s dumbassery regarding a “two-state solution” last week while meeting with Mahmoud Abbas, now makes the administration look stupid and hopelessly naive when it comes to understanding the realities on the ground in Israel. The war in Gaza would be over tomorrow if Hamas handed over the remaining hostages and surrendered. They won’t do that. Israel is actively looking for the hostages, and if they get intelligence that someone is in Rafah, then they’re going to Rafah. And the sooner that the Biden administration comes to grips with that reality, instead of actively trying to cover Hamas’s ass, the better off everyone will be.

With UNRWA being completely exposed as nothing more than a fig leaf for terrorism, run by either extremely stupid people, or people who were willing to turn a blind eye to terrorism in order to keep the money flowing in, it’s little wonder that the “professional humanitarians” are upset. Their very cushy gig that came with a healthy dose of “moral superiority” is coming to an end, and they can’t accept that. And neither can the Biden administration. After all, the administration is the same group of people that keep trying to tell Iran how much they love them, and want to give them large amounts of money. Joe Biden is apparently only as pro-Israel as his poll numbers in Michigan will allow him to be, which is extremely gross.
Can we have sympathy for the civilians of Gaza who want nothing to do with Hamas? Yes. Can we acknowledge that until Hamas is destroyed, nothing in Gaza is going to improve for civilians? Also, yes. Does the presence of hostages in Rafah make the area a legitimate target for Israel? Definitely yes. What the Biden administration and the Egyptian government decide to do with this news, after making such a stink about not wanting Israel to go into Rafah, is going to be very interesting to see.

https://victorygirlsblog.com/israel-gets-two-hostages-back-after-ignoring-biden-administration/

According to The Times of Israel, “The subterranean data center — complete with an electrical room, industrial battery power banks and living quarters for Hamas terrorists operating the computer servers — was built precisely under the location where Israel would not consider looking initially, let alone target in an airstrike.”

If The United Nations Were A Country, Israel Would Have To Declare War On It.
The UN spent decades attacking Israel. Its employees simply took the next logical step.

In 1975, on the 37th anniversary of Kristallnacht, the UN General Assembly adopted a Soviet-led resolution equating Zionism, or the idea of a Jewish homeland, with “racism.”

Sure, the world would see genocides, manmade famines, violent repression of ethnic minorities, authoritarian regimes, terror states, theocratic revolutions, juntas, concentration camps, and communist despotism over the next four-plus decades. But this international parliament of depraved totalitarians and extremists would never lose focus. Since 1975, the UN has condemned Israel, the only free nation in the Middle East, more than any other in the world. Many years, in fact, the tiny country has been targeted with more resolutions than all others combined.
In addition to emboldening and legitimizing Israel’s enemies, including the pioneer of modern terrorism, the UN has also adopted an Arab myth in its effort to erase Jewish identity. Most infamous is a UNESCO resolution denying Jews any historical connection to their faith’s holiest sites at the Temple Mount and Western Wall — a contention that should come as a surprise to anyone who’s read a book. The motion was supported by 24 nations, including Security Council members Russia and China. Only six countries opposed it.
Then there is the United Nations Human Rights Council, whose mission is purportedly to protect “human rights around the world.” Donald Trump pulled funding and refused to allow the U.S. to participate in these Third World, Jew-hating bull sessions. When Joe Biden became president, he rejoined the council. He did so on the same day as Eritrea, which usually ranks below North Korea in those freedom “indexes,” just to give you an idea of the quality of the membership.
This year the sickening farce is led by Morocco. Members include Cuba and China.
Still, as reprehensible as all this history is, no one in any of those agencies, as far as we know, has actively participated in the killing of Jews. One can no longer say the same for the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), another agency Biden rejoined when becoming president.
We now know that at least 12 of UNRWA’s employees took part in the Hamas massacre of Jews on Oct. 7, not merely offering logistical help or coordination, but sometimes participating in the actual kidnapping and murdering of civilians. As of this writing, the UN fired nine of its employees — which seems like a small price to pay for murder. The U.S., Britain, Germany, and Australia, among others, have temporarily paused funding to UNRWA, which has been a major tool for funneling international money to Hamas.
Progressives, naturally, were aghast. Not at the UN’s role in the massacre, but at the funding freeze. “Among an organization of 13,000 UN aid workers, risking the starvation of millions over grave allegations of 12 is indefensible,” Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez explained.
Oh, only 12 people employed by the United Nations participated in the murder, rape, and kidnapping of Jewish women and children, you say? Seems like a lot to me, actually.
Indeed, Israel provided the U.S. with intelligence proving around 1,200 — or about 10 percent of UN employees in Gaza — have direct links to Hamas or Islamic Jihad. Nearly half of UNRWA’s employees are close relatives of members of various terrorist groups. When UN Watch translated 249,000 user posts in the UNRWA chat group right after the terror attack, thousands of them praised Hamas (“May Allah keep their feet steady and guide their aim.”) Most of those excited by the news were likely teachers. And that is vital to remember.
Whatever the number, however, please spare us the argument that the agency bears no responsibility for the actions of its employees. Israel has long warned that the UN was aiding and abetting Hamas. UNRWA knew what was going on. We have known for decades that the agency employs members of Islamic terror organizations. And that’s just the start.
Created as a temporary agency after the Israelis won their independence in 1949, UNRWA was tasked with providing social services and education for those “refugee camps” in Arab nations. The number of refugees that supposedly fled from Israel after the Jews was less than 700,000. More than 70 years later, there are allegedly 5.9 million Arab “refugees.”
When Palestinians were living under Jordanian, Syrian, Egyptian, and Lebanese control, not one of those nations attempted to create a new state. Not one integrated those fleeing a war they started. Palestinians were kept in “camps,” often underwritten by the UN, in an effort to create an intractable situation for Israel and a convenient issue to exploit.
Israel, incidentally, accepted around the same number of refugees after 1948, most of them expelled from their ancestral homes throughout the Islamic world. Until 1952, the UNRWA also helped Jewish and Arab “refugees” within Israel. That was a long time ago. There are no “refugee camps” in Israel anymore. Not for those who came from Iran or Iraq or Morocco or Kenya or Ethiopia or Russia. Or anywhere else.
The UNRWA, tasked with running schools, has not only propped up terror groups on Israel’s border, but it has educated successive generations of Arabs in hating Jews and the West, and believing in the fantastical “right of return.” The UN not only continues to foster the false hope that Arabs will rule a Judenfrei “West Bank” and Jerusalem, but that “refugees” will one day return to Israel proper. The return of nearly 6 million “refugees” would mean the end of Israel. Which is the point. This fantasy has helped scuttle virtually every attempted peace deal.
Tens of millions of people around the world have been victims of major conflicts in the world since the Arab world first failed to destroy Israel. Over those years, Palestinians have been mired in a self-inflicted quagmire of poverty and war while the UN has helped perpetuate the victimhood and extremism. It’s no surprise some of its employees finally decided to take the next logical step.

There is a growing body of evidence that UNRWA is hopelessly entangled with the terrorist groups that have been active in the various "Palestinian" refugee camps (lol) and cities, and who most recently perpetrated the worst attack on Jews since the Holocaust. Israel has provided evidence (video and other) that shows UNRWA employees actively participating in the terror attacks of October 7th, and supporting Hamas via shared infrastructure. Of course most people who pay any attention to this sort of thing and who have an ounce of common sense knew that long ago, but the evidence is now so damning that it can't be ignored, even by the western governments that fund UNRWA.

Well...except for the Biden/Obama administration.
Biden Appoints Former Palestinian UNRWA Official as Director of NSC Intelligence

President Joe Biden on Friday appointed Palestinian-American attorney Maher al-Bitar, who served on President Barack Obama’s National Security Council as Director for Israeli and Palestinian Affairs and as deputy to Samantha Power, to be the new director of the NSC intelligence service. Politico, which broke the news, described Al-Bitar’s new job as “the day-to-day connective tissue between the intelligence community and the White House.”

A graduate of Georgetown University’s Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service, al-Bitar received a Master of Science in Forced Migration from Oxford University’s Refugee Studies Center on a Marshall scholarship and has worked with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) in Jerusalem.
In normal times with normal administrations, this sort of appointment would be toxic...radioactive! It would have been quietly shelved and some milquetoast replacement would have been chosen, instead of a high-profile Arab with links to a thoroughly discredited organization that has acted in support of terrorism.
But this is 2024, and the Biden/Obama administration is completely co-opted by a core of rabid Jew-haters whose most fervent goal is the ascendance of Iran and the destruction of Israel. They simply don't care about the optics, because this appointment galvanizes their support in the pro-terror Arab and Somali communities on which the junta depends for votes. Their vile calculation is that enough Jews will reflexively vote Democrat no matter what, so why not let out their Judenrein sensibilities for all the world to see!
But it also signals a shift in the Deep State. Traditionally, the state department was anti-Semitic, but with this sort of appointment the administration is moving towards a broader pro-Iran and pro-Arab tone, which is indistinguishable from an anti-American, anti-Israel, anti-Western one. And that fits perfectly with the goals of the Obama wing of the Democrat party!
And lest you think this is just one of many drone milling about the directionless White House, this is a real job with real power and access to the highest levels of intelligence. Allowing anyone linked with terrorism anywhere near that position is a profound failure in governance and an ongoing danger to America and its allies.
Which sounds just right for the drooling idiot figurehead in the Oval Office.

US pauses funding for UNRWA after staff accused of involvement in October 7 massacres.

(We need to get the US out of the UN and get the UN out of the US.)

The United States is troubled by allegations that 12 UNRWA employees may have been involved in the October 7 Hamas attack on Israel and has temporarily paused funding, the State Department says.
“The Department of State has temporarily paused additional funding for UNRWA while we review these allegations and the steps the United Nations is taking to address them,” spokesperson Matthew Miller says.
“There must be complete accountability for anyone who participated in the heinous attacks of October 7,” he adds.

Miller says the US is in touch with Israel for more information.
The European Union’s top diplomat says he’s also “extremely concerned” by the allegations and that the bloc is in touch with UNRWA, but doesn’t announce a similar halt in funding.
“We are in contact with UNRWA, expect it to provide full transparency on the allegations and to take immediate measures against staff involved,” Josep Borrell says in a statement, while pledging to “assess further steps and draw lessons based on the result of the full and comprehensive investigation.”
