Palestinian Officials Barred From Attending UN General Assembly Per State Department

The State Department announced last week that members of the Palestine Liberation Organization and the Palestinian Authority will have their visas denied or revoked ahead of the United Nations General Assembly this month.
The Trump administration argued the move was in accordance with U.S. law, as the PLO and PA “are not in compliance with their commitments under the PLO Commitments Compliance Act of 1989 (PLOCCA) and the Middle East Peace Commitments Act of 2002 (MEPCA),” according to the State Department. “It is in our national security interests to impose consequences and hold the PLO and PA accountable for not complying with their commitments and undermining the prospects for peace.”
The move barring some 80 officials, including Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, comes as many nations have announced their intention to recognize Palestinian statehood at the U.N. General Assembly.

Before the PLO and PA can be considered partners for peace, they must consistently repudiate terrorism — including the October 7 massacre — and end incitement to terrorism in education, as required by U.S. law and as promised by the PLO.  The PA must also end its attempts to bypass negotiations through international lawfare campaigns, including appeals to the ICC and ICJ, and efforts to secure the unilateral recognition of a conjectural Palestinian state.  Both steps materially contributed to Hamas’s refusal to release its hostages, and to the breakdown of the Gaza ceasefire talks.    
The PA Mission to the UN will receive waivers per the UN Headquarters Agreement.  The United States remains open to re-engagement that is consistent with our laws, should the PA/PLO meet their obligations and demonstrably take concrete steps to return to a constructive path of compromise and peaceful coexistence with the State of Israel. Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced late Thursday that the State Department was not going to issue any additional work visas for commercial truck drivers, at least for the time being.

Rubio’s announcement comes after an accident involving an immigrant from India — who received a work permit under former President Joe Biden and a commercial driver’s license from the state of California — resulted in the deaths of three American citizens in Florida.
As The Daily Wire previously reported, Harjinder Singh, who entered the United States illegally in 2018, was granted a commercial driver’s license in California. He made an illegal turn from the outside lane at a spot marked “Official Use Only,” and his truck crushed a minivan that had been driving in the inside lane. Singh has since been arrested for vehicular homicide and was slapped with an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainer.
The tragedy that unfolded in Florida also sparked a battle between Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin and the X account run by Governor Gavin Newsom’s (D-CA) Press Office when McLaughlin argued that three American citizens would still be alive if not for the license granted to Singh in California.

Newsom’s press office responded to McLaughlin with a graphic, saying that California does not issue commercial licenses to immigrants who do not have legal status and blaming Trump for that because Singh entered the country illegally in 2018.

McLaughlin pushed back, however, noting that the Trump administration had denied Singh’s request for a work visa and that he was not able to get one until former President Joe Biden’s administration took over.

Trump Administration Rejects UN Global Carbon Tax, Threatens Retaliation

"The proposed framework is effectively a global carbon tax on Americans levied by an unaccountable UN organization."

The Trump Administration announced opposition to a United Nations (UN) proposal to institute a tax on shipping industries to reduce carbon emissions. The announcement also included a threat to countries that support the proposal.
In a joint statement by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy, Secretary of Energy Chris Wright, and Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, the administration condemned the “Net-Zero Framework” approved by a committee of the UN’s International Maritime Organization (IMO) in April.

The proposed amendment aims at setting a new standard of carbon emissions for ships as well as instituting a “global pricing mechanism” for all emissions. It will officially be voted on in October and, if passed, will go into effect in 2027.
The proposed framework will enforce the IMO’s new standards by applying a punitive fee on ships emitting above thresholds while financially rewarding those whose emissions fall within the standards. 
The statement released by the Trump administration condemned this proposed amendment, arguing that it will “directly [drive] up costs for American consumers.”
“Whatever its stated goals, the proposed framework is effectively a global carbon tax on Americans levied by an unaccountable UN organization,” the statement released by the Trump administration reads. “Under this framework, ships will have to pay fees for failing to meet unattainable fuel standards and emissions targets. These fees will drive up energy and transportation and leisure cruise costs.”
“The Trump Administration unequivocally rejects this proposal before the IMO and will not tolerate any action that increases costs for our citizens, energy providers, shipping companies and their customers, or tourists,” the statement says.
The secretaries concluded by stating that the U.S. expects the other IMO members to agree to oppose the amendment, or the U.S. will “not hesitate to retaliate or explore remedies for our citizens should this endeavor fail.”
In a post rebuking the proposed international carbon tax, Secretary of Commerce Lutnick said:

This move to lessen the United Nations’ involvement in U.S. energy production and regulation comes as part of a larger push by the Trump administration to “unleash American energy” by purging the energy sector of foreign influence and beginning massive deregulation attempts.
Notably, on his first day in office, President Trump withdrew the United States from the Paris Climate Accords, which he said would save the country over a trillion dollars. The Paris Climate Accords set an increasing standard for member countries to reach and encouraged developed nations like the United States to pay for less developed nations to adopt more climate-sensitive measures.
Domestically, Trump’s Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is moving to undo Obama-era climate restrictions to deregulate the automotive and other manufacturing industries. If this deregulation goes into effect, it would remove an estimated $1 trillion of hidden taxes on American businesses and families, according to EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin.

Marco Rubio Wrecks UN's Hamas Mouthpiece With Sanctions And A Warning

If you needed further proof that the United Nations (UN) is an unnecessary and irrelevant relic in need of dismantling, look no further than the bile being spewed forth by an Italian woman named Francesca Albanese. Ms. Albanese is the UN Special Rapporteur on the Situation of Human Rights in the Palestinian Territories, which, in theory, means she is an independent expert on human rights' violations who has been given extraordinary latitude by the UN to investigate and report on how Israel is literally Hitler.
Just last week, in a speech before the UN Human Rights Council, Albanese claimed “Israel is responsible for one of the cruelest genocides in modern history," and accused Israel of waging a “genocidal campaign” in Gaza. She also issued a report accusing several American companies, including Lockheed Martin, Caterpillar and Palantir, of profiting from the "genocide," and urged the UN to impose a full arms embargo against Israel, suspend any existing trade agreements and impose legal consequences on companies for what she framed as their role in violating "international law."
Unfortunately for Francesca Albanese, Joe Biden is currently wandering a beach somewhere in Delaware and it's Donald Trump who now lives in the White House. Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio are having none of it and are imposing sanctions of their own against one Francesca Paola Albanese.
Rubio first made the announcement Wednesday afternoon on X:

In a follow-up statement on the State Department website, Rubio provided more context, stating that Albanese "directly engaged with the International Criminal Court (ICC) in efforts to investigate, arrest, detain, or prosecute nationals of the United States or Israel, without the consent of those two countries." The ICC, of course, issued an arrest warrant last year against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for daring to fight back against Hamas following the Oct. 7 massacre.
Sadly for global elites like Francesca Albanese, and as Rubio noted in his statement, neither the United States nor Israel are party to the ICC's Rome Statute. Per an executive order signed by Trump earlier this year, the ICC has zero legal power in the U.S., and they certainly hold no power to punish American companies. It's unclear what kind of reprisals await Albanese, but Rubio promised "to take whatever actions we deem necessary to respond to lawfare, to check and prevent illegitimate ICC overreach and abuse of power, and to protect our sovereignty and that of our allies."

Rubio Touts ‘New Era’ Of Foreign Assistance With Official Closure Of USAID

The U.S. Agency for International Development has officially closed, marking “the beginning of a new era of global partnership, peace, investment, and prosperity,” according to Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Starting Tuesday, the Department of State will take over the work of USAID.  
In March, Rubio announced that 83% of USAID programs were being canceled and the agency’s remaining work would be folded into the State Department.  
“This era of government-sanctioned inefficiency has officially come to an end,” Rubio said in a lengthy statement on Tuesday.  
“Foreign assistance programs that align with administration policies—and which advance American interests—will be administered by the State Department, where they will be delivered with more accountability, strategy, and efficiency,” Rubio said.

USAID was first established in 1961 and viewed as a form of diplomacy, but over time, Rubio says, “USAID marketed its programs as a charity, rather than instruments of American foreign policy intended to advance our national interests.”
Since taking office, President Donald Trump has sought to implement an “America First” agenda, refocusing foreign aid and tax dollars to serve the primary interests of the U.S. as the Trump administration defines.
“Too often,” Rubio said, the work of USAID “promoted anti-American ideals and groups, from global ‘DEI,’ censorship and regime change operations, to NGOs and international organizations in league with Communist China and other geopolitical adversaries.”
All U.S. aid that is delivered to other countries will now bear the “recognizable symbol” of the American flag, Rubio said. “Recipients deserve to know the assistance provided to them is not a handout from an unknown NGO, but an investment from the American people.”
When the U.S. does provide humanitarian aid to other nations, it will now be “targeted and time limited,” according to the secretary.  
“We will favor those nations that have demonstrated both the ability and willingness to help themselves and will target our resources to areas where they can have a multiplier effect and catalyze durable private sector, including American companies, and global investment,” Rubio said.
Former Presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush delivered a farewell address to USAID employees in a video on Monday, The Associated Press first reported. Singer Bono joined the two former presidents in bidding the workers goodbye with a poem.
“Your work has mattered and will matter for generations to come,” Obama told the USAID workers, adding that “[g]utting USAID is a travesty, and it’s a tragedy.”  
“You’ve showed the great strength of America through your work—and that is your good heart,’’ Bush told USAID staffers, according to The Associated Press. “Is it in our national interests that 25 million people who would have died now live? I think it is, and so do you.”

Rubio spoke of the young couple who worked at the Israeli Embassy who were murdered in cold blood at the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington D.C. on May 21 by a Palestinian supporter:
“Earlier this year I stood beside Foreign Minister Sa’ar at the Yad Vashem memorial. I remembered the millions of Jews who were slaughtered, and reflected on the meaning of the words, “Never again.” The importance of those words were brought home to every American last week when Yaron Lischinski and Sarah Milgrim were murdered in cold blood outside of the Capital Jewish museum here in Washington D.C. Yaron was a Christian, born in Germany, who came to love the Jewish state. Sarah was from Kansas and loved Yaron. They dreamed of marrying in Jerusalem; instead they were cut down in cold blood by a monster who did not care about Yaron’s faith or Sarah‘s background. We should never forget that as he was being arrested after killing two innocents, who he believed were Jews, the murderer proudly screamed, “Free, free Palestine,” words that serve as a battle cry for the death of Jews, the destruction of Israel and the horrors we must never again allow.”

Marco Rubio Vs Chrissy Van Hollen

For a while I had started regretting my support for Rubio after he ran for office in Florida. But his actions in the past year and especially since becoming Sec. of State make me proud again.

For seven straight minutes Secretary of State Marco Rubio sat and listened to criminal alien apologist Chris Van Hollen blast him for enforcing immigration laws, supporting MAGA foreign policy and revoking the guest visas for criminal protestors on college campuses. Van Hollen was trying to blast Rubio and fundraise from his far-left communist constituents. Rubio listened respectfully.

Then came the moment, “may I respond” asked Rubio, and within the response Senator Van Hollen completely lost his cool, shouted angrily at Rubio despite being told his time has expired, and was forced to listen to Senator Rubio inform him that yes, Rubio not only plans to revoke the visas of the agitators, but that Rubio had just asked for an even longer list of campus protesters who were recently arrested so he could personally ensure those visas were revoked.

President Donald Trump announced early Saturday morning that talks facilitated by the United States have led to a "full and immediate ceasefire" between India and Pakistan.

Rubio Orders Palestinian Affairs Office To Fold Into Israel’s Jerusalem Embassy

Secretary of State Marco Rubio is shuttering the State Department’s Office of Palestinian Affairs, which was opened under the Biden administration as an alternative to the United States Embassy in Jerusalem.
The office worked directly with the Palestinian Authority and Palestinians in Gaza and Judea and Samaria, also known as the West Bank.
“Secretary Rubio has decided to merge the responsibilities of the Office of Palestinian Affairs office fully into other sections of the United States Embassy in Jerusalem,” State Department Press Secretary Tammy Bruce said on Tuesday during a press briefing. “This decision will restore the first Trump term framework of a unified U.S. diplomatic mission in Israel’s capital that reports to the U.S. Ambassador to Israel.”

After Trump opened the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem in 2018, the U.S. Consulate General in Jerusalem — which had handled Palestinian affairs — was merged into the new embassy as the Palestinian Affairs Unit. In 2022, the Biden administration created the Office of Palestinian Affairs, which operated within the Jerusalem embassy but reports directly to the State Department instead of to the embassy.
The Office of Palestinian Affairs was embroiled in controversy when it urged Israel to “refrain from violence and retaliatory attacks” in a now-deleted tweet following Hamas’s October 7, 2023 attack in which terrorists raped, murdered, and kidnapped Israeli civilians.
Trump’s newly named pick for United Nations ambassador, Mike Waltz, condemned the tweet at the time as “despicable” and said it “shows some of our bureaucrats’ true colors.”
While in the Senate, Rubio and a coalition of 80 other members of Congress released a statement calling it “alarming” that the Biden administration opened the Office of Palestinian Affairs, which “amounts to be a separate U.S. diplomatic office to the Palestinians in Israel’s capital.”
The letter called for the Office of Palestinian Affairs to be merged into the United States Embassy under the authority of the Ambassador to Israel instead of acting as a “de facto embassy.”
“The Biden Administration’s decision is wrong and not how America should treat Israel, one of our closest allies in the world,” the letter stated.
Ambassador Mike Huckabee will oversee implementing the merger over the coming weeks, according to Bruce.
“The United States remains committed to its historic relationship with Israel, bolstering Israel’s security and securing peace to create a better life for the entire region,” Bruce said.
Trump fulfilled the mandate of the 1995 Jerusalem Embassy Act, which required the United States Embassy in Israel to be moved from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem by 1999. Presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama repeatedly invoked a provision in the law allowing them to sign six-month waivers, delaying the relocation.
It wasn’t until President Trump that the law was fulfilled, with the embassy officially relocated to Jerusalem on May 14, 2018, a date that coincided with the 70th anniversary of the signing of the Israeli Declaration of Independence.

The Media Tried To Sling The Story That Mike Waltz

Was losing his position in response to Signal-gate but it seems that he is moving on to a better position.

We can now confirm that Mike Waltz is indeed leaving his role as National Security Advisor (NSA) to President Trump, but that's only part of the story. The president posted to his Truth Social account that Waltz isn't being fired at all, but will now become the new nominee for the role of U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations.
Notably, Secretary of State Marco Rubio will now do double duty for the administration and will, at least temporarily, act as the new NSA.
As RedState reported earlier on Thursday, rumors began swirling on social media that Waltz and one of his top aides had fallen out of favor at the White House and were, therefore, going to be sent packing from their roles on the president's national security team. Much of the speculation centered on Waltz possibly being punished for his role in adding a journalist hostile to the Trump administration to a national security-related Signal chat with top administration officials.
The timing is interesting here. "Signalgate" took place at the end of March, just a few days before President Trump pulled Elise Stefanik's nomination to be US Ambassador to the UN, the position that will now apparently go to Mike Waltz. That move was made because of threats to the GOP's razor-thin majority in the U.S. House of Representatives; there were two special elections looming in Florida, and some of the fundraising and early voting numbers didn't look good for Republicans. The GOP did end up retaining those two seats, and had a little more padding with Stefanik returning to her duties in Congress.
Ironically, and something that is likely of little comfort to Elise Stefanik, the musical chairs began when Mike Waltz resigned his seat to take on the NSA role. This was after former Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) had resigned his seat in the hopes of leading President Trump's Department of Justice.
It's an unfortunate twist of fate for Stefanik that she, once again, is called on to take one for her party. Although she has yet to confirm it, Stefanik may be thinking of ending her Congressional career in favor of running to be the next governor of New York.

The Trump Administration Has Revoked 4,000 Foreign Student Visas In First 100 Days

Almost all of these students have some sort of criminal background.
Over the last month, Secretary of State Marco Rubio has said repeatedly that they were trying to root out as many student radicals as they could find. Apparently, he wasn’t kidding.
This is an important policy change in the United States. The American people don’t want to play host for foreign students who come here and call for the nation’s destruction or that of our allies.
“Our visa system has lacked oversight and accountability,” a senior State Department official told Fox News Digital. “Over the past 100 days, the Trump Administration has worked to fix a broken system.”
“Secretary [Marco] Rubio has led the State Department to take a surgical vetting approach to ensure individuals in America as visitors are abiding by ours laws,” the source said. “We established an action working group, which has resulted in thousands of visas being revoked because these individuals broke our laws. This is what effective governance looks like.”
Those serious crimes included arson, wildlife and human trafficking, child endangerment, domestic abuse, driving under the influence and robbery, according to the New York Post, which first reported the number.
Things have changed and we’re not putting up with radicalism in foreign students anymore. It’s a good thing.

Rubio Explains Why Khalil And His Barbaric Ilk Aren't Welcome In The US

The Biden administration handed Trump some serious hot garbage on the foreign affairs front and Marco Rubio's role has come into sharp focus with the Russia-Ukraine peace negotiations and, especially now, with the case of raging antisemite "college student" Mahmoud Khalil.
Rubio always brings a calm demeanor and head full of facts, something that is much-needed as Democrats and their leftist foot soldiers wail and gnash their teeth over a pro-Hamas thug like Khalil getting his comeuppance.
Columbia University has been the epicenter of the antisemitic ragefests that have taken over college campuses in the aftermath of October 7, with masked degenerates taking over school buildings while singing ditties about wiping out the Jews. Fun stuff. Classes at the very expensive Columbia were disrupted, Jewish students felt threatened, with good reason, and feeble school administrators allowed it all to play out because, let's face it, they probably support the anti-Jew sentiment.
Well, all the fun came to a screeching halt earlier this week when one of Columbia's chief pro-Hamas agitators, the afore-mentioned Mahmoud Khalil, a citizen of Algeria, got a friendly visit from his local Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers. To his credit, Khalil didn't always hide behind a keffiyeh and proudly put his face front and center at the campus "protests," so he made it easy for officials to identify and detain him. In short, he FA’ed and FO.
And the White House had some fun with it.

Right on cue, Khalil's detainment and likely deportation back to Algeria brought out the histrionics from Democrats and their lefty-loon base. How dare the Trump administration detain one of their own? Since the left is always ready to agitate, they merely removed their antisemitic slurs from their protest signs and replaced them with their boilerplate, anti-Trump sentiments. Remember, these are the people who can't summon the will to applaud for a young cancer patient, but they've got all the energy in the world to advocate for a terrorist sympathizer who, as it turns out, has no right to be in the United States.
And this is something Secretary of State Rubio laid out beautifully on Wednesday, explaining to the left like they're five years old that Mr. Khalil has more than earned his one-way ticket home.

Rubio is crystal-clear in his messaging here: the left can melt down all it wants over this guy, but the days of coddling extremists, especially those making life hell on U.S. college campuses, are over. This is just the beginning of the detaining and deporting, and Democrats bemoan it merely because these bad actors make up their base and their base is about to shrink even more.

It's Official: State Department Set To Designate These Cartels As Terrorist Organizations

Following President Donald Trump's direction and executive action, Secretary of State Marco Rubio is set to designate a number of Mexican and South American drug cartels as terrorist organizations. 
"Based upon a review of the Administrative Records assembled in this matter, and in consultation with the Attorney General and the Secretary of the Treasury, I have concluded that there is a sufficient factual basis to find that the relevant circumstances described in section 219 of the Immigration and Nationality Act, as amended (hereinafter 'INA') (8 U.S.C. 1189), exist with respect to: Tren de Aragua (also known as Aragua Train); Mara Salvatrucha (also known as MS-13); Cartel de Sinaloa (also known as Sinaloa Cartel, Mexican Federation, Guadalajara Cartel); Cartel de Jalisco Nueva Generacion (also known as New Generation Cartel of Jalisco, CJNG, Jalisco New Generation Cartel); Carteles Unidos (also known as United Cartels, Tepalcatepec Cartel, Cartel de Tepalcatepec, The Grandfather Cartel, Cartel del Abuelo, Cartel de Los Reyes); Cartel del Noreste (also known as CDN, Northeast Cartel, Los Zetas); Cartel del Golfo (also known as CDG, Gulf Cartel, Osiel Cardenas-Guillen Organization); and La Nueva Familia Michoacana (also known as LNFM),"  a public notice, set to be officially published in the Federal Register on Thursday, states.

The move is a fulfillment of President Trump's executive order on the matter, which he signed on his first day back in the White House on January 20.
"The Cartels have engaged in a campaign of violence and terror throughout the Western Hemisphere that has not only destabilized countries with significant importance for our national interests but also flooded the United States with deadly drugs, violent criminals, and vicious gangs," the order states.

Secretary Of State Marco Rubio Named Acting Head Of USAID

Secretary of State Marco Rubio was named Acting Administrator for the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) on Monday following scrutiny of the organization led by Elon Musk.
In a statement, Rubio’s press team accused USAID of straying from “its original mission of responsibly advancing American interests abroad,” adding that “it is now abundantly clear that significant portions of USAID funding are not aligned with the core national interests of the United States.”
USAID, created in 1961 by President John F. Kennedy, gives tens of billions in civilian aid and development assistance to foreign countries each year.
Musk, who is heading the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), accused USAID of being beyond repair and said President Donald Trump agreed with him that it should be shut down and rolled into the State Department.
“It became apparent that it’s not an apple with a worm in it,” Musk said. “What we have is just a ball of worms. You’ve got to basically get rid of the whole thing. It’s beyond repair.”
USAID had been separate from the State Department until Rubio’s appointment.
USAID closed its headquarters to staffers on Monday and some were locked out of their work computer systems overnight.
