Nancy Mace Launches Campaign For South Carolina Governor

Firebrand Republican Congresswoman Nancy Mace launched her bid for South Carolina governor on Monday, joining what’s quickly becoming a crowded field in the Palmetto State.
Mace joins Rep. Ralph Norman, Lt. Gov. Pamela Evette, South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson, and state senator Josh Kimbrell in the 2026 Republican primary. The congresswoman addressed her supporters at an early morning rally at her alma mater, The Citadel military college, where she announced her run for governor.
“I’m running for governor because South Carolina doesn’t need another empty suit. It needs a governor who will fight for you and your values,” Mace said. “South Carolina needs a governor who will drag the truth into sunlight and flip the tables if that’s what it takes.”
“I’ve walked into firestorms, and I’ve come out swinging,” she added.
Incumbent South Carolina Republican Gov. Henry McMaster, who has served since 2017, will be term-limited from running again in the November 2026 election.
In a video Mace posted on X Monday morning, the Republican emphasized how she has drawn the ire of both Democrats and Republicans and showed clips of President Donald Trump praising her in the past.

“When she sets her sight on something, she’s tough,” Trump said of Mace.
The relationship between the 47-year-old congresswoman and Trump, however, has been rocky. In 2022, Trump endorsed Mace’s primary opponent, Katie Arrington, after Mace said that Trump’s “entire legacy was wiped out” following the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot. Mace came out on top in the 2022 primary and secured a second term in the House. She won again in 2024 and is currently serving her third term.
Mace has focused much of her attention on fighting to keep trans-identifying men out of women’s bathrooms. She recently got in a fight over women’s bathrooms with Delaware Democratic Rep. Sarah McBride, a man who identifies as a woman. Shortly after McBride was elected, Mace introduced a resolution banning men from women’s facilities in Congress. McBride agreed not to use women’s bathrooms on Capitol Hill after House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) issued a mandate, saying, “Women deserve women’s only spaces.”
Mace is well-known on Capitol Hill for her self-assertive nature and her knack for diving into the middle of controversy.

Gaines Vs Biles

I would imagine that this will be the last post on this feud unless Biles says something more stupid than she has already. In all the posting I did about the feud, I never posted the post that caused Biles to lose her mind. It was a Gaines post about the Class 4A Softball State Championship Game, which was 'won' by the Champlin Park Rebels. The star player for the Rebels is their pitcher who is a MALE. That lead to this twitter post by Riley Gaines, a huge advocate for getting and keeping boys and men out of female sports and any other sex specific spaces.

Mace and Crockett kept up the war of words on X following the viral exchange, and neither seemed interested in hashing things out over a beer.
Crockett alleged that her Republican colleague had "threatened to physically fight me," while Mace countered, "If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen."
Also adding fuel to the fire was a statement by Crockett at the hearing in which she claimed fears of biological men in women's locker rooms were a "fantasy" and an instance of someone wanting to "be dramatic."
Mace, who was a victim of sexual assault as a teenager, took exception to the remarks.
"I am no child! Do not call me a child!” a peeved Mace shouted. “I am no child. Don’t even start. I am a grown woman. I am 47 years old.”
Crockett attempted to talk over Mace to no avail.
“You will not do that. I am not a child," the GOP congresswoman replied. "If you want to take it outside, we can do that.”
Rep. Maxwell Alejandro Frost (D-FL) tried to have Mace's comments stricken from the record, but House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) claimed it was merely an offer to settle the discussion over a "cup of coffee, or maybe a beer" outside the halls of Congress.

An Illinois man allegedly attacked South Carolina Congresswoman Nancy Mace on the United States Capitol grounds Tuesday over her views on trans-identifying men in women’s spaces, Mace said.
“I was physically accosted tonight on Capitol grounds over my fight to protect women,” she said in a post on X. “Capitol police have arrested him. All the violence and threats keep proving our point. Women deserve to be safe. Your threats will not stop my fight for women!”
Mace was referring to her efforts to keep trans-identifying men out of women’s restrooms, specifically in the United States Capitol and all federal property.
“There’s no amount of bullying and threats on my life that they’ve made this week that’s going to stop me from this,” she said in late November, promising to “fight like hell” for the protection of women and girls.
The Capitol Police told The Daily Wire that they arrested a person accused of assaulting a United States representative Tuesday evening. That person was 33-year-old James McIntyre of Illinois, the Capitol Police said. McIntyre is facing a charge of assaulting a government official.
“Just before 6:00 p.m., the Member of Congress’ office reported an incident in the Rayburn House Office Building,” the Capitol Police told The Daily Wire. “House Division officers, and agents with the Threat Assessment Section, tracked down the suspect.”
McIntyre reportedly went through security screening before entering the congressional buildings, where the incident apparently occurred. The Capitol Police specifically said that “the Rayburn House Office Building was open to the public at the time of the incident.”

Trans-Identifying Congressman Agrees Not To Use Female Bathrooms After Major Mace And MTG Backlash
The trans-identifying congressman at the center of a Capitol Hill bathroom battle has agreed not to use the women’s facilities following a mandate from House Speaker Mike Johnson.
Sarah McBride, a newly-elected representative from Delaware who identifies as a transgender woman, issued a statement on Wednesday saying that he will abide by Johnson’s Wednesday directive that “all single-sex facilities in the Capitol and House Office Buildings — such as restrooms, changing rooms, and locker rooms — are reserved for individuals of that biological sex.
Left-wing media and lawmakers argued Mace was targeting or bullying McBride. But Mace repeatedly emphasized that, as a survivor of sexual assault, she believes in protecting the integrity of women’s spaces.
“There’s no amount of bullying and threats on my life that they’ve made this week that’s going to stop me from this,” Mace said Wednesday morning on the Michael Knowles Show.
“Sarah McBride’s promise to abide by Speaker Johnson’s policy is a step toward acknowledging the rights of women everywhere—something we’ll continue to demand without compromise,” the congresswoman told The Daily Wire on Wednesday afternoon.
When McBride backed down Wednesday, he said in a statement: “I’m not here to fight about bathrooms.”
“I’m here to fight for Delawareans and to bring down costs facing families,” McBride said. “Like all members, I will follow the rules as outlined by Speaker Johnson even if I disagree with them. This effort to distract from the real issues facing this country hasn’t distracted me over the last several days, as I’ve remained hard at work preparing to represent the greatest state in the union come January.”
The “Protecting Women’s Private Spaces Act” would “prohibit individuals from accessing or using single-sex facilities on federal property other than those corresponding to their biological sex.” It also forbids anyone from accessing facilities on federal property that do not correspond with their biological sex, and it provides precise definitions of what it means to be female or male.

Nancy Mace’s Second Bill Would Ban Men From Women’s Facilities On All Federal Property

South Carolina Congresswoman Nancy Mace is following up her Capitol Hill bathroom legislation with yet another bill protecting women’s spaces — this time, banning men who identify as transgender women from using women’s facilities on any federal property.
Mace’s bill, the “Protecting Women’s Private Spaces Act,” was obtained exclusively on Wednesday morning by The Daily Wire. It will “prohibit individuals from accessing or using single-sex facilities on federal property other than those corresponding to their biological sex.” It forbids anyone from accessing facilities on federal property that do not correspond with their biological sex, and it provides precise definitions of what it means to be female or male.

Mace told Daily Wire host Michael Knowles that her legislation should not be controversial, arguing that independent voters and even Democrats are “with us” when it comes to “forcing this crazy gender ideology down the throats of our children and other Americans across the country.”
“I’m going to do everything I can to protect women and girls here on the Hill, but also across the nation,” she said on “The Michael Knowles Show,” where she first unveiled the bill. “This is a question that needs to be answered. Do women have rights or not? Are we going to allow these men to bully us into submission? And I say, no, no more. I’m done with this.”
“There’s no amount of bullying and threats on my life that they’ve made this week that’s going to stop me from this,” she added, promising to “fight like hell” for the protection of women and girls.
In a statement to The Daily Wire on Tuesday, McBride argued that this is “a blatant attempt from far right-wing extremists to distract from the fact that they have no real solutions to what Americans are facing.”
“We should be focused on bringing down the cost of housing, health care, and child care, not manufacturing culture wars,” said the newly elected trans-identifying member of Congress. “Delawareans sent me here to make the American dream more affordable and accessible and that’s what I’m focused on.”
One top conservative activist argued in a Tuesday memo to Republicans that it is politically popular to block men from entering women’s bathrooms — and that it is also the right thing to do.
“The American people sent Republicans to Washington with a mandate to protect women and children from transgender ideology,” American Principles Project President Terry Schilling wrote in the memo, obtained by The Daily Wire. “There’s no question about that. According to AdImpact data, Republican candidates spent $215 million in campaign ads on the issue, while Democrats struggled to respond. Republicans in the House and Senate should feel comfortable defending their positions not only because they are right and just, but because they are politically popular.”
Schilling argued that “it’s clear that the Democrats have failed to learn anything from their 2024 election defeat,” reminding lawmakers: “The American people voted for a return to normalcy — and they voted against the Democrats’ transgender extremism. But it’s not even December yet, and Democrats are leaning in on defending the ‘right’ of a male member of Congress to hang out in the women’s restroom.”

A transgender pretender and biological male was elected to Congress from the state of Delaware and this caused Nancy Mace to write a privileged motion that would force the House to vote on blocking biological males from using female restrooms.

Mace said on X this morning: “For the record, this is a binding resolution. The Sergeant at Arms would enforce it.”
It was just reported a few minutes ago that Speaker Johnson has now committed to not allowing biological men in woman’s bathrooms by putting this in a rules package:

“Mace is still reserving the right to file it as privileged resolution or amend it if that doesn’t happen though.”
Let’s hope Speaker Johnson makes this happen but if it comes down to it, Nancy Mace should easily win this vote.

Mace Introduces Bill To Ban Men From Using Women’s Bathrooms In Congress

The bill comes as Democrats are preparing to have the first transgender member of Congress in January.
Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) introduced a bill on Monday that would force “members, officers, and employees of the House” to use bathrooms that correspond to their biological sex.

The bill noted that “allowing biological males into single-sex facilities, such as restrooms, locker rooms, and changing rooms designed for women, jeopardizes the safety and dignity of Members, officers, and employees of the House who are female.”
The Sergeant-at-Arms of the House of Representatives would be in charge of enforcing the prohibition of men from being able to use facilities designated for women.
The bill was introduced as Democrats are preparing for their new member, Sarah McBride from Delaware, to become the first transgender member of Congress.
“Sarah McBride doesn’t get a say in this,” Mace told reporters. “If you’re a biological man, you shouldn’t be in women’s restrooms.”
Mace added on X: “Never thought this would have to happen, but we are introducing a resolution banning biological men from entering protected spaces for women on Capitol grounds.”
“Protecting biological women starts here and it starts now,” Mace added.
Rep. Becca Balint (D-VT) raged over the bill, claiming: “The cruelty is the point.”
McBride claimed that the bill was an attempt by “far right-wing extremists to distract from the fact that they have no real solutions to what Americans are facing.”
“We should be focused on bringing down the cost of housing, health care, and child care, not manufacturing culture wars,” he claimed.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), who recently removed her pronouns from her X account, claimed that the bill was “not just bigotry” but “plain bullying.”
Republican members signaled that they were open to the bill and would take a further look at it.
“We’re going to talk about that,” said House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA). “We’re working on the issue.”

The Republican congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene repeatedly 'misgendered' McBride in a now-viral video where she was asked about Mace’s bill.
“I support a resolution that keeps all biological men out of women’s bathrooms, locker rooms and private places. Not only here in the Capitol complex, our office buildings, but all taxpayer-funded facilities,” Greene replied.
She was also asked how one would “check if someone is qualified to use the ladies’ restroom? Obviously there’s a new openly transgender member of Congress.”
“Which is a man,” said Greene. “He’s a man. He’s a biological male. So he is not allowed to use our women’s restrooms, our women’s gym, our locker rooms and spaces that are specified for women. He’s a biological male,” Greene said. “He’s got plenty of places he can go.”
