Lepa Radić was a Bosnian Serb who fought with partisans against Nazis in WWII. She was born in Gasnica, Bosnia in 1925.
In February, 1943 she was captured and summarily sentenced to death by hanging, but she was offered a pardon if she would reveal the names of her comrades and the leaders of the fighters.
Her reply was ‘I am not a traitor of my people. Those whom you are asking about will reveal themselves when they have succeeded in wiping out all you evildoers, to the last man.’
She was executed on February 8, 1943 at the age of 17.
