Active-Duty Coward Army Sergeant Shoots 5 At Ft. Stewart

At least five soldiers were wounded after an Army sergeant who was recently arrested allegedly opened fire Wednesday at Fort Stewart in Georgia.
The suspect has been identified as 28-year-old Quornelius Radford, a U.S. Army active-duty automated logistics sergeant from Jacksonville, Florida, who was assigned to the installation.
Army officials said Radford allegedly used a personal handgun in the shooting, and was tackled by other soldiers before being taken into custody. He had not deployed to combat.
"These soldiers, without a doubt, prevented further casualties," Brig. Gen. John Lubas, 3rd Infantry Division and Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield commander, wrote in a statement. "Right now, our primary focus is on supporting the family members of the five victims and the Soldiers of the Spartan Brigade."

Though the Army said Radford did not have any prior disciplinary or behavioral issues, court records show he was arrested in Liberty County on May 18, and charged with driving under the influence and failure to obey traffic control devices.
Army officials said the charges were unknown to Radford's chain of command.
Radford is currently being interviewed by Army investigators and is being held in pre-trial confinement. A motive has not yet been released.
The soldiers were shot in the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team (ABCT) area, the U.S. Army confirmed in a social media post. Law enforcement was dispatched at 10:56 a.m. ET, and Radford was apprehended at 11:35 a.m.
Emergency medical personnel treated the wounded soldiers on-site at 11:09 a.m. before moving them to Winn Army Community Hospital, according to Fort Stewart.
Three out of the five service members required surgery, but all are in stable condition and expected to recover, Army officials said. Their identities have not yet been released.
(The shooter did not use a military weapon and he is thought to have co-conspirators.)

Derek Dooley Enters Georgia Senate Race As Republican

Former University of Tennessee football coach Derek Dooley threw his hat in the ring as a Georgia GOP senatorial candidate for 2026 on Monday.
Dooley, 57, the son of famed University of Georgia football coach Vince Dooley, obtained his law degree from the University of Georgia and briefly practiced law before turning to football, where he became head coach at Louisiana Tech, then Tennessee before serving as an assistant coach with the Dallas Cowboys, the University of Missouri, the New York Giants and the University of Alabama.
Dooley’s chief rival for the GOP senatorial nod is Congressman Mike Collins, who has gained endorsements from various Republicans, including former House Speaker Newt Gingrich. (Which should help you make your decision.)

R.I.P. - American Soldiers Who Were In An M88A2 VTR

R.I.P.

3 of the 4 soldiers have been found deceased.
Three U.S. soldiers who had been at the center of a recovery mission in Lithuania for nearly a week after their armored vehicle sank in a body of water were found dead Monday, the Army said. Efforts were continuing to find the fourth soldier.
The soldiers' identities were being withheld pending notification of their next of kin, the Army said in a statement Monday. The three soldiers found Monday were assigned to the 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division and were permanently stationed at Fort Stewart in Georgia.
The soldiers went missing last Tuesday while conducting a mission to repair and tow an immobilized tactical vehicle. The incident is being investigated by the Army and Lithuanian authorities.
The soldiers' submerged armored recovery vehicle was found by the Army and Lithuanian authorities Wednesday. The Army said the vehicle was removed from a peat bog early Monday morning. In an update from over the weekend, the Army said the vehicle was under at least 15 feet of water, clay-like mud and silt.
Hundreds of service members from the Army, U.S. Navy and the militaries of Lithuania and Poland helped in the effort to bring the 63-ton M88A2 Hercules armored recovery vehicle to the surface, the Army said. Lithuanian civilian agencies also contributed to the effort, with the Army calling the unstable ground conditions around the submerged vehicle an "engineering challenge."
Excavators, pumps and several hundred tons of gravel and earth were moved to the search area near Pabradė, close to the Lithuania-Belarus border, to pull up the vehicle.
Maj. Gen. Christopher Norrie, the commanding general of the 3rd Infantry Division, said in a statement Monday that the soldiers who died in the incident were family.
"Our hearts are heavy with a sorrow that echoes across the whole Marne Division, both forward and at home," Norrie said. "We stand in grief with the families and loved ones of these extraordinary 'Dogface Soldiers' during this unimaginable time."
Norrie said searchers were working around the clock looking for the fourth soldier.
Navy divers were gridding out the area around the peat bog to conduct a systematic search, the Army said.
Lithuania's President Gitanas Nausėda expressed his condolences to President Trump and the U.S. on social media.

Suwannee Alligator Snapping Turtle Now Listed As Threatened Under The Endangered Species Act

I don't believe this to be a Suwannee Alligator Snapping Turtle because almost every one that I've seen at that size has a brownish-reddish to a dark brown tint to their skin due to all the tannin in the water in the Suwannee River and several of it's tributaries. Although there are many, many crystal clear springs that run into the Suwannee, they quickly become mixed with the dark tea colored river water.

When I was around 16 years old, 1976 or so, we caught a Suwannee Alligator Snapping turtle on a trot line while we were having a cookout on the river. We held a boiled corn on the cob in front of him and he bit it completely in half. I was told from a very early age, not to stick anything in front of a snapping turtle or softshell turtle, that you didn't want to lose ... traumatically. Back in those days we ran in the woods, shooting, hunting, and trapping and the adults trained us and expected us to act like we had enough sense to not do anything exceptionally stupid.

The Suwannee alligator snapping turtle (Macrochelys suwanniensis), often considered the dinosaur of the turtle world, is on the decline. That’s why the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is listing it as a threatened species under the Endangered Species Act (ESA) with a 4(d) rule that tailors protections to support its conservation needs. The Service decided not to designate critical habitat for the turtle because it could increase poaching.

“This listing will further unite the Service and our partners in conserving this iconic species while ensuring those that rely on the outdoors for their recreation and livelihoods can continue their pursuits,” said Mike Oetker, Southeast Regional Director. “Comments and information received on the proposed listing and 4(d) rule helped to inform our final rule and we are thankful for the public and our partners’ involvement in this process,” he added.

Alligator snapping turtles are the largest freshwater turtles in North America, with males weighing more than 200 pounds. Rough, spiked brown shells resemble alligator skin with ridges running the length of the upper shell that end in a tail nearly as long as the body. A huge, wedged head supports massive jaws ending in hooked beaks. A worm-like appendage on a long narrow tongue attracts prey consisting of fish, frogs, snakes, waterfowl, small mammals, and other turtles.

The Suwannee alligator snapping turtle is only found in the Suwannee River basin of Georgia and Florida. Illegal harvest and collection, hook ingestion and entanglement from recreational and commercial fishing, and nest predation are threatening the sole population, which currently has about 2,000 individuals throughout its range.

The Suwannee alligator snapping turtle is listed as a state-designated threatened species in Florida and Georgia. In Florida, it is illegal to take, possess, or sell. In Georgia, is illegal to harass, capture, kill, sell, or purchase the species. Georgia law also prohibits the destruction of the species’ habitat on public lands.

Rome GA Woman Killed In Automobile Accident With Rome Police

Responding to bomb threat to Marjorie Taylor Greene’s home.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) took to X Monday evening to express her condolences to the family and friends of a woman who was accidentally killed in an automobile accident as local law enforcement responded to bomb threats made to Greene's home in Rome, Georgia.
Officials say Tammie Pickelsimer, 66, was killed when her car was hit by a car being driven by a member of the county bomb squad that was responding to Rep. Greene's home.
The revelation that someone was accidentally killed as part of a bomb hoax at her property clearly devastated and incensed the GOP firebrand.

Earlier Monday, before word of the accident was made public, MTG praised local law enforcement for its prompt, tweeting: "The Rome Police Department's Assistant Chief of Police received an email containing a bomb threat directed towards me. I’m so grateful to every member of the Rome Police Department for your swift and professional response in ensuring my safety."

While the crash that killed Tammie Pickelsimer is still under investigation, Rome police officials say that the bomb threat was traced to an IP address in Russia.

Tucker Carlson Speaks At Trump Rally In Georgia

I like Tucker. Sometimes it’s hard for me to listen to Tucker … but he hits it out of the park with this speech. It’s 18+ minutes of reality and truth.

On Democrats:
“It’s the party of weirdos, of envy, of hate, of resentment, of bitterness, of weakness, of a total lack of creativity,” Carlson said. “It’s a part of conformity, it’s a party of the machine where it doesn’t matter who the candidate is, because individuals are immaterial. All that matters is the collective. That’s the Soviet model.”

The Democrats are "... the party of weak men and unhappy women."

Fried Okra, Fried Green Tomatoes, The Whistle Stop Cafe, (Possible Cannibalism), And Marijuana

(Note to self: I need to NOT post after drinking margaritas.)

Okra is a southern delicacy. Fried, stewed, alone or with tomatoes, I love it. My wife says it will never touch her lips after watching us eat it at her first family function as my wife, it was stewed and slimy. It was also her first Southern family function. She won’t even touch it fried.

One of my friends back in the day, moved to Oregon, because of a job he couldn't say no to. He was raided by the police and temporarily arrested for growing marijuana. He said they had ripped up several of his okra plants before they realized they had made a mistake. They, the city, ended up being forced by a judge with a sense of humor, which I hear is damn rare in Oregon, to reimburse him for destroying his okra plants, which resemble pot plants very closely. Every time he encountered them after that in a restaurant  or wherever, he would loudly tell the story of getting busted for manufacture of okra.

Fried okra and fried green tomatoes.

And all of you that love a good BLT really need to try a BLT with fried green tomatoes … or what we have started doing is finding some firm red tomatoes and frying them up the same … it makes a BLT a totally different experience.

The Whistle Stop Cafe in Juliette, GA was the inspiration for the movie 'Fried Green Tomatoes' which was not a blockbuster, but being from the south, we enjoyed thoroughly. The story line takes a minute to evolve, but most people will enjoy the movie I think if they allow themselves to understand the region and the times.
Set as the iconic café in the movie, Fried Green Tomatoes, the Whistle Stop Café got its humble start in the little town of Juliette, Georgia. When filming was done, the restaurant remained open and still serves classic southern dishes and of course, Fried Green Tomatoes, everyday!

This is our recipe with an awesome sauce that I found in Southern Living years ago and we still use it today.

Fried Green Tomatoes
Ingredients:
2-3 medium to large size green tomatoes
2 cups buttermilk
2 cups cornmeal
1/2 cup flour (plain or self rising, doesn't matter)
1/2 lb. grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
salt
pepper
oil for frying (I use Olive oil with 2 - 3 tsp. bacon drippings and a couple of 1/4” slices of butter)

Instructions:

Slice the tomatoes in thick slices, about 1/4 inch.  Place in a bowl and pour the buttermilk over them.  Let them sit in the buttermilk for 15 -20 minutes.
Mix the cornmeal, flour and parmesan cheese in a shallow dish or pie plate and dredge the tomato slices a couple at time in the mixture.  Turn them over and pat the cornmeal mixture into them well.
Pour about an inch of oil mixture in a skillet and heat to around 350 degrees or until it is sizzling. Make sure your oil is hot enough (but not too hot) or the tomatoes will be greasy and the batter may not stay on. Drop a little of the cornmeal mixture in the oil and it should sizzle. Leave room in the pan to turn the slices.
Sprinkle each slice with a little salt and black pepper. Only turn once or twice while cooking or they will fall apart. When they turn golden brown, remove from oil and place on wire rack covered with paper towels to drain. Salt again while they are still hot.

Buttermilk Ranch Herb Sauce
Yield: 1 1/3 cups
Ingredients:
1 cup mayonnaise
1/3 cup buttermilk
1 1/2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives
2 teaspoons Ranch dressing mix
1 teaspoon lemon zest
3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions:

Whisk together mayonnaise, buttermilk, chives, Ranch dressing mix, lemon zest, fresh lemon juice, freshly ground pepper, and salt. Serve immediately, or cover and chill up to 2 days.

Way back in the day, before the sun came up and we were milking cows we would listen to Jerry Clower on the radio. Jerry Clower would tell a story about hunting dogs and boiled okra. I know most of you educated city folk have never heard of Jerry Clower OR boiled okra and NO, foofoo dogs are NOT the same as a good black and tan.

Just In: Trump changes his tune on Georgia Governor Kemp.

President Trump has just let everyone know he’s changed his tune on Georgia’s Governor Kemp with a new post on Truth Social and on X.
Trump writes: “Thank you to @BrianKempGA for all of your help and support in Georgia, where a win is so important to the success of our Party and, most importantly, our Country. I look forward to working with you, your team, and all of my friends in Georgia to help MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

Well this is a welcome change after his comments earlier this month. Winning the election against the likes of Commie Kamala is paramount and I’m glad Trump can be a bigger man in the face of such an election.

 Profiles in DEI: Christina Peterson

ATLANTA — Less than two days after the arrest, the Atlanta Police Department released the body camera footage of Douglas County probate Judge Christina Peterson being taken into custody.
Peterson was arrested Thursday following commotion outside of Red Martini Restaurant & Lounge on Peachtree Road Northeast.
Peterson, 38, was cuffed and placed in the back of a cop cruiser early Thursday for battery against a police officer.
Cops said she interfered with a police officer trying to de-escalate a situation in which a security guard working at Red Martini Restaurant and Lounge attempted to escort another woman outside, according to 11 Alive News.
Peterson was allegedly intoxicated during the 3 a.m. incident, during which she pushed the officer in the chest twice, swiped at his hands, and refused to identify herself. She is of course a Democrat.
Peterson, who took office in 2020, was previously found guilty of “systemic incompetence” by a judicial panel in April, according to Fox 5 Atlanta.
In her defense, Peterson is a left-wing black woman.

Infamous (black) Georgia Judge Arrested in Nightclub Fight With Cop.

A controversial Georgia judge was arrested early Thursday morning after allegedly hitting a police officer on the head and refusing to identify herself outside a nightclub in Atlanta.
Police detained Douglas County Probate Judge Christina J. Peterson, a Democrat, at a club in Buckhead and charged her with felony obstruction of law enforcement officers by using threats or violence, as well as simple battery of a police officer.
It was not immediately clear what led to the arrest, but officials told local media that there had been an early morning incident at the Red Martini Restaurant and Lounge on Peachtree Road.
The Atlanta Police Department confirmed the arrest to Newsweek Thursday morning, but said it could not release further details.
Judge Peterson has something of a notorious reputation in Georgia. In April, she was found guilty of "systemic incompetence," with the Judicial Qualifications Commission voting unanimously that she be ousted from office, following 30 counts of misconduct.
The three-person panel had found she ignored courthouse rules, abused personnel and made inappropriate posts on social media.
At one point, Peterson jailed a woman who was trying to amend her marriage certificate to include the real name of her recently discovered father. The woman ended up serving two of the 20 days of her sentence before her husband was able to pay her fine.
"Such a hasty and shockingly disproportionate reaction is the hallmark of [Peterson's] intemperance," the panel wrote about the incident.
The judge also received complaints after allowing a wedding after hours without sheriff's office deputies present, and for pressing a panic button unnecessarily.
During the panel's hearings, Peterson complained that she had not received enough recognition since taking on her role in 2020.
"I'm the first African American female judge who was a Democrat," she testified. "I was never celebrated or congratulated."
The panel disagreed with those arguments, and recommended she be removed from office.
"(Judges) are expected to act in a manner that promotes the integrity and impartiality of the judiciary," the commission's report read. "Respondent has shown that she cannot — or will not — do so. And so she must go."
While the Douglas County panel made its recommendation for her removal, the Georgia Supreme Court is yet to decide her fate.

Fani Willis suffers new blow as Georgia court allows Donald Trump's appeal to remove the Fulton County DA from his election fraud case.

The Georgia Court of Appeals has given a green light to Donald Trump's case to remove Fani Willis from his election fraud trial in the latest blow to the Fulton County DA.
Willis has courted controversy while prosecuting the county's election interference case against Trump after it was revealed she had a past relationship with special prosecutor Nathan Wade.
She escaped with just a slap on the wrist after Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee dramatically ruled she could stay on the Trump election interference case if Wade removed himself.
Trump and eight of his co-defendants charged in the Georgia state court have since urged the appeals court to overturn McAfee's March ruling.
Now the court has given Trump's appeal the green light to go ahead, but there is not yet a set timeline for when the case will be heard.
The court's decision to hear the appeal before trial could cause further delays in the case, one of four criminal prosecutions facing Trump as he seeks to unseat Democratic President Joe Biden in the November 5 election.
Trump has pleaded not guilty and accused prosecutors of a politically motivated effort to damage his campaign.
The court's decision to hear the case follows testimony inside McAfee's courtroom, which featured an acknowledgement from Willis and former special prosecutor Nathan Wade that they had a sexual relationship.
Lawyers for Donald Trump and multiple co-defendants tried to establish that the affair began before Willis brought Wade onto the case and said it posed a conflict of interest. But Willis said the relationship became romantic later.
Following a dramatic evidentiary hearing with claims and counter-claims about lavish trips and cash reimbursements, McAfee gave the state two options: either Willis and her entire team step back from the case, or Wade remove himself from it.
He slammed Willis for a 'tremendous lapse in judgment' and for acting in an 'unprofessional manner', and found that while there was no actual conflict of interest, there was at least the appearance of one.
Wade stepped back hours after the judge's decision in March.
Humiliating as it was for prosecutors, McAfee's decision allowed the election interference case to go forward.
Had it been reassigned to prosecutors in another county, it could have delayed the case even more, or even resulted in a different indictment.
Wade told ABC News: 'Workplace romances are as American as apple pie. It happens to everyone. But it happened to the two of us.' It was his first interview since stepping down from his post.
The state supreme court's decision is nearly certain to cause delays in the criminal trials for Trump and his codefendants, who are charged in a broad racketeering conspiracy for his election overturn in the state.
If that happens, it would just be the latest victory on the calendar for Trump, whose lawyers have managed to put off his criminal cases as Election Day nears.
Trump's D.C. January 6 case remains stalled while it awaits a Supreme Court decision on his claims of presidential immunity. On Tuesday Judge Aileen Cannon ruled that his classified documents case in Florida was postponed indefinitely amid a series of clashes over classified documents issues.
Even his Stormy Daniels case, which is playing out this week in Manhattan, suffered a delay.
Trump lawyer in the Georgia case Steven Sadow indicated in a statement that he won't relent in the effort to bump Willis from the case.
'President Trump looks forward to presenting interlocutory arguments to the Georgia Court of Appeals as to why the case should be dismissed and Fulton County DA Willis should be disqualified for her misconduct in this unjustified, unwarranted political persecution,' Sadow said in a statement.
