Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced late Thursday that the State Department was not going to issue any additional work visas for commercial truck drivers, at least for the time being.

Rubio’s announcement comes after an accident involving an immigrant from India — who received a work permit under former President Joe Biden and a commercial driver’s license from the state of California — resulted in the deaths of three American citizens in Florida.
As The Daily Wire previously reported, Harjinder Singh, who entered the United States illegally in 2018, was granted a commercial driver’s license in California. He made an illegal turn from the outside lane at a spot marked “Official Use Only,” and his truck crushed a minivan that had been driving in the inside lane. Singh has since been arrested for vehicular homicide and was slapped with an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainer.
The tragedy that unfolded in Florida also sparked a battle between Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin and the X account run by Governor Gavin Newsom’s (D-CA) Press Office when McLaughlin argued that three American citizens would still be alive if not for the license granted to Singh in California.

Newsom’s press office responded to McLaughlin with a graphic, saying that California does not issue commercial licenses to immigrants who do not have legal status and blaming Trump for that because Singh entered the country illegally in 2018.

McLaughlin pushed back, however, noting that the Trump administration had denied Singh’s request for a work visa and that he was not able to get one until former President Joe Biden’s administration took over.

DHS Mocks Media For Use Of Word ‘Undocumented’: ‘The Immigration Equivalent Of They/Them’

The Department of Homeland Security openly mocked media outlets in a Wednesday post, claiming that their use of the phrase “undocumented immigrant” was no less ridiculous than the use of “they/them” pronouns to indicate gender identity.
The official X account for DHS shared a graphic that showed several cut-out headlines, all of which used the term “undocumented immigrants” instead of “illegal aliens” when referring to those who were in the United States illegally.

Several people responded to the post comparing the headlines to what author George Orwell and scholar William Lutz referred to as “doublespeak” — a strategy that often employs the use of watered-down phrasing or euphemisms to make things that are objectively bad seem less so.
Lutz also spoke of using technical jargon ambiguity rather than common terminology or specific language in order to cloud the meanings of things one did not want the public to think about too deeply.
“Doublespeak poses a threat to the United States because it creates a buffer between what organizations are saying and what people are hearing,” Lutz explained in an interview.

DHS Blasts WaPo For Doxxing Kristi Noem

Department of Homeland Security spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin lashed out at the Washington Post Friday, accusing the leftist outlet of printing details about Secretary Kristi Noem’s residence and subjecting her to increased danger and even more threats.

Due to the increased threats and safety concerns, she has been forced to temporarily stay in secure military housing.
As the DHS officers Secretary Noem leads face a 1000% increase in assaults against them, the Washington Post chooses to again publish where she lives.
A revealing lack of basic humanity for another person’s safety.
It’s not the first time the media has doxxed the secretary, McLaughlin said:
In the story, the Post details Noem's rent-free living arrangement, calling it "highly unusual." Noem was forced to change residences in April after the Daily Mail published photographs of her D.C. home, McLaughlin told the Post.
"If you cannot find humanity in another human's safety and security, I invite you to find it here," McLaughlin said in an email to the Post, including a link to Washington National Cathedral.
"[The] need for heightened security for Secretary Noem should make sense, even to a reporter, given she has DHS going after the worst of the worst. That includes hundreds if not thousands of members of international cartels and terrorist organizations."
Naturally, Democrats are in a tizzy over Noem’s temporarily moving to secure military housing, reportedly in the home reserved for the top Coast Guard official. In this case, there is an acting official, Admiral Kevin Lunday, but he has not yet been officially nominated for the top job.
The left wants to make a scandal out of it because she is not paying for her stay, but she is still paying rent on the apartment she was forced to move out of. Said Connecticut Senator Chris Murphy: “The commandant’s house is ‘not a vanity residence’" and… Noem is “essentially taking that property from the military.” Added Mississippi Rep. Bennie Thompson: "Federal government coffers are not Noem’s personal piggy bank..." Easy to say when you're not the one being doxxed and threatened.

An Insurgency By All Accounts And Definition

The Supremacy Clause (Article VI, Clause 2) declares federal law to be the supreme law of the land, binding state courts and superseding conflicting state laws.

Insurgency (Noun): An active revolt or uprising; a movement within a country dedicated to overthrowing the government, a rebellion.

This past week, as we celebrated our 249th American Independence Day, progressive socialist leftists were continuing their insurgency across our United States of America. Now, there may be those who would say that America began as an insurgency movement, and you would be correct. However, upon reading the entire Declaration of Independence, one can ascertain the usurpations and grievances that the American colonists had against the British monarchy, which had grown into an imperial tyranny. Unfortunately, there are quite a few delusional and deranged individuals who would debate that they are also living under tyranny. That, my friends, is laughable. The progressive socialist leftists should take a gander at the Supremacy Clause of the U.S. Constitution, our rule of law, which I referenced above. It is not tyranny when the federal government operates under the Supremacy Clause as it states, “This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States (federal government) which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States (federal government), shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby; any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding.”

Leftists may not like the fact that the Trump administration is doing its Constitutional duty of protecting the national sovereignty of these United States of America. They obviously prefer the unconstitutional and lawlessness of the previous “autopen” administration and their felonious and treasonous opening of our borders to illegal immigrants, terrorists, and those of a criminal element. Now, the U.S. Constitution grants the right to peaceably assemble and to redress one’s grievances to the government; rights born out of the grievances presented in the Declaration of Independence. However, the Constitution does not grant the right to enact violence against duly appointed law enforcement officers, federal, state, or local, who are enforcing the law. And once again, the Trump administration is acting “in Pursuance thereof” to the Constitution and therefore acting in accordance with the rule of law, which is supreme.

So, when leftists decide that they are going to conduct ambushes of federal law enforcement officers, “dox” them in order to expose them (and even their families) to attacks and use armed insurrection to attack federal government facilities, that is not a constitutional right. By all intents, purposes, accounts, and definitions, it is an insurgency and is unconstitutional and unlawful.

There were two recent attacks against Department of Homeland Security facilities here in Texas. One was in the border city of McAllen, where an armed assailant, dressed in tactical gear, opened fire. The other incident was a planned ambush at the Prairieland Detention Facility in Alvarado, Texas, just about an hour southwest from me along US Hwy 67. I have often ridden my motorcycle through Alvarado on my way to Cleburne or Glen Rose. This ambush operation in Alvarado involved 11 armed assailants with tactical gear and communications devices.

The time has come to take these incidents seriously, and that means prosecution to the fullest extent. I think we remember the insidious response of the left to the January 6th incident, where the only person shot was an unarmed female. The leftists decried this as an insurrection, albeit not a single person was armed. Individuals were rounded up, their constitutional and due process rights violated, and they were dispatched to the DC Gulag, where they underwent inconceivable abuse. Therefore, by the very definition of leftists, this is an insurrection and should be treated as such. Leftist politicians who are fomenting this violence should be held accountable. Media outlets that are enabling and spreading false narratives and demonizing federal law enforcement agencies should be held accountable. Those who are taking to the streets to obstruct and intervene in the execution of the rule of law and law enforcement activities should face the harsh reality that they are aiding and abetting criminal activity.

There is no such thing as a “sanctuary state or city” because that means they are unconstitutional and unlawful in harboring criminals. I am quite sure if I was harboring a murderer, rapist, child sex predator, or any other criminal in my home, I would be charged with a crime. And oh by the way, illegally entering our Country is a crime.

The Secretary of Homeland Security must immediately issue clear guidance on the Rules of Engagement (ROE) for law enforcement agencies to engage armed threats. The Attorney General must issue guidance on the charges and penalties these insurrectionists will face. And when the left cries, screams, and pouts, just understand, you only take flak when over the target, or as my Dad would say, “a hit dog will holler.”

I have been in combat, and those of us who have been on the recent battlefields of Iraq and Afghanistan recognize a textbook, classic insurgency when we see one. And the history of the leftists—Marxists and Communists—is all about armed insurrection in order to justify their mantra of “the ends justify the means.” Their end is to fundamentally transform our Constitutional Republic, and that is an unjustifiable rebellion. The American people spoke last November by way of the democratic electoral process and said that they did not want open borders. Obviously, the Democrats do not feel that they can win by the electoral process, so they have reverted to their time-tested measures—threats, intimidation, coercion, deception, and violence.

And funny, has anyone heard the left talk about gun control in the past week when they have been shooting at law enforcement officers? Nope, just like the British of old, they know that gun control is necessary for tyranny to thrive, and liberty to die.

Oh yeah, the Second Amendment is in the U.S. Constitution, the Law of the Land.

HUD & DHS End Taxpayer-Funded Housing For Illegal Aliens:

U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary Scott Turner and U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem today signed the “American Housing Programs for American Citizens” Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), to end the wasteful misappropriation of taxpayer dollars to benefit illegal aliens instead of American citizens.
As part of this new agreement, HUD will provide a full-time staff member to assist in operations at the Incident Command Center (ICC), establishing an interagency partnership to facilitate data sharing and ensure taxpayer-funded housing programs are not used to harbor or benefit illegal aliens.
“American tax dollars should be used for the benefit of American citizens, especially when it comes to an issue as pressing as our nation’s housing crisis,” said Secretary Scott Turner. “This new agreement will leverage resources including technology and personnel to ensure American people are the only priority when it comes to public housing. We will continue to work closely with DHS to maximize our resources and put American citizens first.”

DHS’s First Use Of Trump’s Revived 18th Century Deportation Power

Homeland Security agents on Friday detained the first illegal migrant gangbanger under President Trump’s newly-invoked 18th-century Alien Enemies Act, a Venezuelan human trafficker and member of the Tren de Aragua gang.
DHS agents and Florida police arrested Franklin Jose Jimenez-Bracho by reportedly “steering” him directly into a group of officers with handcuffs ready, authorities revealed Friday, per the New York Post.
Jimenez-Bracho, identified as a “known Tren de Aragua gang member” by DHS, was wanted for human trafficking and smuggling.
“Once again, Florida leads the way,” Florida Governor Ron DeSantis posted on X following the arrest.

The detention marks the first use of Trump’s invocation of the 18th-century Alien Enemies Act, which his administration is utilizing to deport alleged Venezuelan gang members without hearings.
This follows Trump’s January decision to classify Tren de Aragua as a foreign terrorist organization.
The Trump administration has already taken significant action against illegal immigrant gang members, deporting approximately 250 alleged gangbangers to El Salvador’s Terrorism Confinement Center last Saturday.
Senior Homeland Security officials recently reported that the administration’s mass deportation effort has yielded more than 32,000 arrests in its first 50 days, with 70% of those arrested either facing charges or convicted of crimes.
The Alien Enemies Act, originally passed in 1798, grants the president broad authority to apprehend and remove non-citizens from countries with which the United States is at war or that threaten invasion.
The Trump administration has now applied this rarely-used law to target Venezuelan gang members as part of its broader immigration enforcement strategy.

Trump Admin Ends Translation Services For Immigration Agency

After declaring English the Official U.S. Language the Trump administration has directed the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to end language translation services for people calling for information about their immigration or employment status or their benefits.
In keeping with his March 1 order making English the official language of the United States, the president has directed the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to cancel a contract with a translation service provider, according to Government Executive magazine.
The translation service was offered to migrants calling the department for information about their status under E-Verify and other government programs.
The administration is also now directing agency call center employees to terminate any call from a caller who can’t make his needs known in English.
The formal guidelines are forthcoming, the administration notes.
The termination of the Legal Interpreting Services, Inc., is part of the administration’s government wide comprehensive review of the rationale for each contract it pays out. The translation service for USCIS would have cost upwards to $587,000 on a contract that was first awarded in 2022, the magazine added.
DHS also has a wider contract with Legal Interpreting Services costing the government about $3.6 million. It is not yet known if these translation services will also be targeted for cancellation in other departments.
USCIS has made no public statement on the cancellation of its translation services.
Advocates for illegal aliens say that the cancellation of the translation service will complicate the lives of migrants.
“Lack of interpretation services will only make it harder for many workers and families whose dominant language is not English from being able to correct immigration status errors in these databases,” said American Immigration Council representative Adriel Orozco. “This risks people being wrongly denied benefits or being unfairly terminated from their jobs.”
“A nationally designated language is at the core of a unified and cohesive society, and the United States is strengthened by a citizenry that can freely exchange ideas in one shared language,” Trump’s March 1 order reads.
Trump’s order specifically noted that “new Americans” must be “encouraged” to learn English “to achieve the American dream.”

5th Circuit Court Of Appeals Has Ruled Against Deferred Action For Childhood Arrivals Program

NEW ORLEANS -- A federal appeals court on Friday ruled against an Obama-era policy to shield immigrants who came to the country illegally as young children, only three days before Donald Trump takes office with pledges of mass deportations.
The unanimous decision by a panel of the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans — two judges appointed by Republican presidents, Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush, and one by Democrat Barack Obama — is the latest blow for the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, whose beneficiaries have lived in legal limbo for more than a decade.
It signals no immediate change for its more than 500,000 beneficiaries, who can renew temporary permits to live and work in the United States. But the federal government cannot take new applications, leaving an aging and thinning pool of recipients.

The decision may tee up the policy for a third visit to the Supreme Court. Trump sought to end DACA during his first term, but he also occasionally expressed wishes that beneficiaries be allowed to stay.
Obama introduced DACA in 2012, citing inaction by Congress on legislation aimed at giving those brought to the U.S. as children a path to legal status. Legal battles followed, including two trips to the Supreme Court.
This latest case involves a new version of the rule issued by President Joe Biden in 2022. It represented little substantive change from the 2012 memo that created DACA, but it was subject to public comment as part of a formal rule-making process intended to improve its chances of surviving legal muster.
U.S. District Judge Andrew Hanen in Houston said the executive branch had overstepped its authority and barred the government from approving new applications. He left it intact for current beneficiaries while appeals played out in court.
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, who led the challenge on behalf of Republican-led states, called Friday's ruling “a major victory.”
“I look forward to working with President-elect Donald Trump to ensure that the rule of law is restored, and the illegal immigration crisis is finally stopped,” Paxton said.
The U.S. Homeland Security Department didn't immediately respond to a message seeking comment late Friday.

Trump Picks Kristi Noem To Lead Department Of Homeland Security

President-elect Donald Trump has picked South Dakota Republican Gov. Kristi Noem as secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, The Wall Street Journal reported on Tuesday morning.
The department, which oversees U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), will be crucial in carrying out Trump’s central campaign promise to close the southern border and fix illegal immigration.
The department also oversees FEMA, an agency that was recently exposed by The Daily Wire for discriminating against Trump supporters.
The move comes on the heels of Trump’s pick of Tom Homan as “Border Czar.” Homan previously served as acting ICE director during Trump’s first term in office. The immigration official who also served during the Obama years is known for being an immigration hardliner, which aligns with Trump’s vision.

Flashback: Noem took heat in 2021 for effectively killing a bill that would ban males in female sports, drawing much criticism from conservatives. She instead issued two weaker executive orders: for public schools, she implemented a mandate for proof of either a birth certificate or affidavit to show the athlete is female, and another EO effectively recommended a ban on males in female sports in higher education.

A new bulletin from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is warning border agents and other law enforcement agencies of a threat posed by Tren De Aragua (TdA), the largest criminal organization in embattled Venezuela, after an apparent "green light" to attack American law enforcement has been given to its members who have infiltrated the United States.
"Homeland Security Investigations reported that Tren De Aragua (TdA) criminal organization members in Denver have been given a 'green light' to fire on or attack law enforcement in Denver, Colorado," the message from HSI's Chicago office warns before adding "HSI New York reportedly received the same information" which is "deemed to be credible."
"As you may know, we have a TdA presence here in Chicago, so please be vigilant as you encounter TdA members or affiliates during your investigative and operational activities," the warning emphasized.
It's an alarming development for a foreign criminal organization known for its human, weapon, and drug trafficking, among other illicit activities, to be giving an order to attack and/or shoot U.S. law enforcement on American soil, one made possible — and worse — by the crisis that has raged under the watch of Biden administration Border Czar Kamala Harris.
According to the bulletin warning law enforcement of the "green light" for TdA attacks, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) "has encountered approximately 26 known / identified TdA members in FY24, and 43 in FY23 at the point of encounter."
At present, however, intelligence and data "suggests there are over 1,000 TdA members in the United States."
Reporting from the New York Post on the bulletin noted that TdA is "already tied to hundreds of crimes, including the shootings of two NYPD cops who were trying to arrest one of its members in June."
