Fewer than 400 electric vehicle chargers were built with $7.5 billion in federal infrastructure funding, which comes out to more than $19 million per charger, a non-partisan watchdog agency found.
To be exact, 384 charging ports were built at 68 stations, at a cost of $19,531,250 per charging port.
Funding for the construction of the chargers was drawn from the $7.5 billion allocated to the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Formula Program (NEVI) and Charging and Fueling Infrastructure Discretionary Grant Program (CFI), which were approved as part of President Biden’s $1.2 trillion Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
A few RINOs went along with virtually all Democrats to pass the looting spree masquerading as an infrastructure law.

‘Obama Phone’ Linked CEO Fined $128 Million

Issa Asad, 51, of Southwest Ranches, FL, and his company, Q Link Wireless, sentenced to five years imprisonment for defrauding U.S. Government and money laundering. Asad was also sentenced over charges of money laundering.
The CEO of a company that benefited immensely from the Lifeline program, commonly referred to as ‘Obama phones’ during the Obama administration, has been sentenced to five years in prison and, along with his company, ordered to pay $128 million in fines.

Specifically, the legislation would significantly dial back solar and wind tax credits to 60% of their original value starting in 2026, with complete elimination by 2028. Under current law, these credits are scheduled to begin phasing out in 2032, meaning the proposal would effectively shorten the incentive window.
Crapo stated in a press release that this draft bill “achieves significant savings by slashing Green New Deal spending and targeting waste, fraud and abuse in spending programs while preserving and protecting them for the most vulnerable.”
Slashing clean energy tax credits, essentially the lifeline of the green industry, would unleash a tsunami of bankruptcies across the sector. Think of Solyndra’s high-profile collapse under the Obama administration in 2011—but multiplied many times over.

Trump Administration To ‘Pause’ Scandal-Plagued, $2 Billion ‘Job Corps’

The Department of Labor said Thursday that it will “begin a phased pause” of an almost $2 billion federal job training program that has persisted since 1964 despite a dubious record.
The Job Corps houses a mix of runaway teens and 20-something ex-cons in residential campuses, where 16- to 24-year-olds are paid to receive their GED diplomas and training in several trades.
For decades, there has been evidence that monetary incentives have led to fraud, with contractors — who get paid bonuses for recruiting students and for having positive job-placement statistics — cooking the books to misrepresent post-graduation job outcomes, and tolerating criminal behavior on campus to avoid the loss of federal dollars that would come from expulsions.
Contractors, including large for-profit companies, operate 99 of the Job Corps’ 131 facilities, which collectively house 25,000 students. Those contracts were “terminated for convenience” on Thursday, with the contractors beginning to “mobilize students safely to their home of record” by June 30, the Labor Department said. Campuses operated by government entities, such as the Department of Agriculture, are not affected by the pause.
“Job Corps was created to help young adults build a pathway to a better life through education, training, and community,” Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer said in a statement. “However, a startling number of serious incident reports and our in-depth fiscal analysis reveal the program is no longer achieving the intended outcomes that students deserve. We remain committed to ensuring all participants are supported through this transition and connected with the resources they need to succeed as we evaluate the program’s possibilities.”
The Daily Wire reported in April that the Job Corps spends up to $764,000 per graduate, while participants go on to earn $17,000 annually. One-third of students typically simply disappear, one-third are expelled for serious misconduct, and the remaining third graduate.
The Labor Department said it is not eliminating the Job Corps, which only Congress can do, but that finances dictated ending the contracts. It said the program was operating at a $140 million deficit in 2024, and that the Biden administration paused operations at two campuses as a result. The deficit was projected to grow to $213 million in 2025.
It also said the program is “failing students,” with the post-program wages of participants hovering barely above the poverty line, despite an average cost per student higher than Harvard’s.
“Considering only two out of every five participants actually graduate from the program, this is a massive amount of money being spent with little results,” it said in a statement.

USDA Employee And Five Others Busted

In one of the largest Food Stamp frauds in American history.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York announced on Thursday that a longtime USDA employee and five others were busted in one of the largest food stamp frauds in U.S. history.
A short time ago, Perry Carbone, Attorney for the United States, Charmeka Parker, the Special Agent in Charge of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Office of Inspector General and Christopher G. Raia, the Assistant Director in Charge of the New York Field Office of the FBI revealed a superseding indictment was unsealed charging six people in connection with a $66 million-plus fraud and bribery scheme under the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) aka food stamp program.
Michael Kehoe, Mohamad Nawafleh, Omar Alrawashdeh, Gamal Obaid, Emad Alrawashdeh, and Arlasa Davis have been hit with multiple charges, including conspiracy to steal government funds and to misappropriate USDA benefits. Davis, a USDA employee who worked as a program specialist, was employed in the division of the agency responsible for identifying SNAP fraud.
As the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York explains/a>, Kehoe started a network in 2019 that handed over roughly 160 illegal EBT terminals to stores across the New York area to steal more than $30 million in EBT transactions. With the help of his co-conspirators, Nawafleh, Omar Alrawashdeh, Obaid, and Emad Alrawashdeh, Kehoe submitted approximately 200 fraudulent USDA applications, misappropriated USDA license numbers, and even forged application documents to acquire EBT terminals for unauthorized stores.
The stores included smoke shops and other businesses not eligible for USDA funds.
Davis was critical to the scheme. The Southern District of New York Attorney’s office notes that she took advantage of her position to sell hundreds of EBT license numbers.  
The six culprits have each charged with one count of conspiracy to steal government funds and misappropriate USDA benefits, which can result in a maximum five year prison sentence prison, one count of theft of government funds, which could mean 10 years behind bars, and one count of misappropriation of USDA benefits, which carries a potential 20 year prison sentence.
The 56-year-old Davis has also been charged with one count of conspiracy to commit bribery, which carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison, one count of bribery, which carries a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison, and one count of conspiracy to commit honest services wire fraud, which carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison. If she were convicted on all charges, she could face a lifetime behind bars.

Energy Secretary Says Not Moving Forward With New “Green” Loans

(I’m unclear why they are called loans, when the money is rarely repaid. These are handouts, for which Biden was giving them to friendly companies, with little expectation of results, and virtually no oversight. As a side note, my wife and I drove by this place on vacation and we were astounded by the amount of desert habitat that had to be destroyed to build this massive waste of taxpayer funds. We talked to people who lived near there that would sit and watch and count the birds who would fly through that area only to become smoking corpses. Energy Secretary Chris Wright said his agency doesn’t plan to move forward with billions of dollars worth of Biden-era loans as the Trump administration reviews the department’s $400 billion-strong green bank.
Wright, speaking during a Bloomberg Television interview Friday, criticized former President Joe Biden’s administration for issuing billions of dollars in loans and grants between the time President Donald Trump was elected and inauguration day.
“We’ve got a lot of reasons to be worried and suspicious about that,” Wright said in response to a question about the department’s loan program. “Some of these loans will go forward, some of it, it’s too late to change course. A lot of them won’t go forward, but that’s a very careful review process that we’ve just put in place and just got a team to execute on.”
The department recently started a review of its Loan Programs Office, which has financed nearly $70 billion in energy projects and made more than $41.2 billion in conditional commitments that haven’t been finalized. The latter include $1.46 billion to biofuel maker Gevo Inc. and $4.4 billion for a high-voltage transmission line project spanning Kansas to Missouri.
In my mind, one of the major things they should be doing is auditing the “loans” and grants. Let’s see how the money was spent. What were the results? Were the projects completed or on their way to completion? How much money went to the projects and how much into people’s pockets? Are the projects sustainable, or, just simply being done on a whim, and will soon collapse generally putting money in people’s pockets)? Former State Department Budget Analyst Pleads Guilty To Embezzling More Than $650,000

WASHINGTON – Levita Almuete Ferrer, 64, of Montgomery Village, Maryland, pleaded guilty today to embezzling more than $650,000 from the U.S. State Department over a two-year period.
The guilty plea was announced by U.S. Attorney Edward R. Martin Jr., Special Agent in Charge Benjamin Brockschmidt of the U.S. Department of State’s Office of Inspector General, and Deputy Assistant Director William Ferrari of the State Department’s Diplomatic Security Service Office of Special Investigations.
As part of her guilty plea, Ferrer, who is also known as Levita Brezovic, admitted that she abused her signature authority over a State Department checking account between March 2022 and April 2024 while working as a Senior Budget Analyst in the State Department’s Office of the Chief of Protocol. She issued 60 checks payable to herself and three checks payable to another individual with whom she had a personal relationship. She printed and signed each check and then deposited all 63 checks, which totaled $657,347.50, into her personal checking and savings accounts.
Ferrer attempted to conceal her scheme by using a common Quickbooks account at the State Department. After entering her name as the payee on checks in Quickbooks and then printing them, she often changed the listed payee in Quickbooks from herself to an actual State Department vendor. As a result, anyone viewing those entries in the Quickbooks system did not see Ferrer’s name as the payee on the checks unless they accessed an audit trail.
U.S. District Judge Christopher R. Cooper accepted Ferrer’s guilty plea to theft of government property and set a sentencing date for September 18, 2025. Ferrer faces a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison. Judge Cooper will determine any sentence after considering the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.
As part of her plea agreement, Ferrer agreed to pay $657,347.50 in restitution to the U.S. government. She also agreed to be liable for a forfeiture money judgment in that same amount.

USIP officials deleted a terabyte of financial data hoping to hide their tracks, not realizing DOGE’s technological capabilities would recover everything, a perfect example of the 65% of federal agencies still using outdated IT systems vulnerable to mismanagement.

On Wednesday, The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) announced its findings from an initial survey of unemployment insurance claims since 2020 and uncovered three stunning discoveries regarding unemployment fraud.

DOGE Official: More Than One Million Migrants On Medicaid, Thousands On Voter Rolls

An official with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) said that millions of migrants are currently receiving taxpayer-funded Medicaid benefits while thousands are on voter rolls across the country and are illegally voting in American elections.
DOGE official and equity firm CEO Antonio Gracias said that migrants have obtained Social Security cards after being released into the interior of the country with a notice to appear in immigration court, with court dates scheduled an average of six years after their release.
“So now you’re in the country with some quasi-legal status, you’re waiting for your court date … you can fill out an asylum application,” Gracias explained during a recent appearance on the “All In” podcast, which featured Daily Wire host Ben Shapiro. “Once that application is in, you can file another form, a 765 to get work authorization, once you get that, you get a 766, which is the authorization and we automatically send you a Social Security card in the mail.”
With access to Social Security cards, Gracias says, over a million migrants have been able to receive Medicaid benefits. “We mapped this through the benefit programs, we found every benefits program that is being accessed by these people, 1.3 million are on Medicaid right now, today,” Gracias said.
He went on to explain that thousands of migrants have been found on voter rolls as well, also asserting that the Democratic Party opened the border in order to import new voters.
“We looked at voter rolls and we found that thousands are registered to vote in friendly states. And we looked even further in those friendly states and found that many of those people had actually voted. It was shocking to us,” Gracias explained. “I think this was a move to import voters.”
“This doesn’t include the 7.8 million that ICE has that have come in illegally that we know are here and all the people who are here illegally who we don’t know are here,” he explained.
The DOGE official pointed to California, which often voted for Republican gubernatorial and presidential candidates before becoming a solid blue state in the wake of former President Ronald Reagan’s amnesty for illegal aliens.
“Go look at California. Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan came from California. Ronald Reagan signed amnesty and some 40 years later, it is now a solidly blue state,” Gracias pointed out. “I don’t know what the unintended consequences will be long-term, but I can tell you, it’s already happened in America where an amnesty program actually turned a very large state from one party to another.”

Veterans Affairs Paying $350K Per Month For Website Modifications

The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), under the leadership of Elon Musk, the agency created by executive order on President Donald Trump's first day in office, has uncovered yet another striking example of wasteful federal spending. This time, the target is the Department of Veterans Affairs, which until recently had been paying nearly $380,000 a month for relatively simple website modifications, work that a single staffer now handles internally with just 10 hours of effort each week.
DOGE broke the story via a post on X, formerly Twitter, praising the VA for not renewing the contract. "VA was previously paying ~$380,000/month for minor website modifications," the agency wrote. "That contract has not been renewed, and the same work is now being executed by 1 internal VA software engineer spending ~10 hours/week."

US Institute of Peace Employees Notified Of MASS FIRINGS On Friday Night

Most employees at the U.S. Institute of Peace, a congressionally created and funded think tank now taken over by Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency, received email notices of their mass firing, the latest step in the Trump administration’s government downsizing.
The emails, sent to personal accounts because most staff members had lost access to the organization’s system, began going out about 9 p.m. Friday, according to people familiar with the matter who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of fear of reprisal.
One former senior official at the institute said among those spared were several in the human resources department and a handful of overseas staffers who have until April 9 to return to the United States. The organization has about 300 people.
Others retained for now are regional vice presidents who will be working with the staff in their areas to return to the U.S., according to one employee who was affected.
An executive order last month from President Donald Trump targeted the organization, which seeks to prevent and resolve conflicts, and three other agencies for closure. Board members, who are nominated by the president and confirmed by the Senate, and the institute’s president were fired. Later, there was a standoff between employees who blocked DOGE members from entering the institute’s headquarters near the State Department. DOGE staff gained access in part with the help of the Washington police.
A White House spokeswoman, Anna Kelly, said in an email Saturday that the institute “has failed to deliver peace” and that Trump “is carrying out his mandate to eliminate bloat and save taxpayer dollars.”
Workers were given until April 7 to clear out their desks.
