PolitiFact Ridiculously Calls Babylon Bee Satire Piece About Transportation Secretary Buttigieg 'False.’

So here's the thing.
I refuse to believe that left-wing "fact-check" sites like Snopes, NPR FactCheck, or PolitiFact lack the intellectual capacity behind the scenes to distinguish between facts and satire. Rather, these leftist hives of self-assigned legitimacy intentionally ignore the satire part and focus only on that which is satirized.
Why? Cutting satire hits too close to home for the left.
In this example from The Babylon Bee, the best satire site on the planet, we're talking about irrelevant, do-no-good, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg.
The hopelessly biased fact-checking business has had a hell of a time trying to figure out The Bee. Of course, they know The Bee's a satire site but they simply can't stop making fools out of themselves over Bee Sting after Bee Sting.
Anyway, back to Buttigieg. A March 27 headline on The Bee read: “Buttigieg Praises Cargo Ship For Helping Dismantle Racism in America."

https://twitter.com/TheBabylonBee/status/1773022934409286019?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1773022934409286019%7Ctwgr%5E4465566f715d32d3ead8e8f0730bcb8a723bacfc%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fredstate.com%2Fmike_miller%2F2024%2F04%2F01%2Fpolifact-ridiculously-calls-the-babylon-bees-satire-piece-about-dot-head-pete-buttigieg-false-n2172114

As I suggested earlier, any objective and reasonably intelligent person would immediately realize that The Bee headline was satire. And remember, the closer to reality satire is, or any form of comedy, the funnier it is. Hence, this Bee Sting really stung the left.
Sure enough, on Friday, two days after The Bee piece dropped, PolitiFact trotted out a goofy "fact-check," headlined with The Bee's headline in quotes.
PolitiFact's Ciara O'Rourke then spewed utter stupidity — on multiple levels.
A recent Facebook post shared a headline from a satire website but not everyone got the joke.
"Buttigieg praises cargo ship for helping dismantle racism in American roads," the headline said alongside photos of Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg and the cargo ship that crashed into  Baltimore’s Francis Scott Key Bridge.
"And these are the people running our country," one person commented.
"I didn’t read the article … but it sounds like something he would say," someone else said.
This post was flagged as part of Meta’s efforts to combat false news and misinformation on its News Feed. (Read more about our partnership with Meta, which owns Facebook and Instagram.)
Utter stupidity, including PolitiFact's ridiculous attempt to legitimize its silly article by pointing to an equally meaningless flag by Meta — as if Meta and Facebook are beacons of legitimacy and truth.
Hilarious — but oh so predictable.

On April 3, 1860, the first Pony Express mail, traveling by horse and rider relay teams, simultaneously leaves St. Joseph, Missouri, and Sacramento, California. Ten days later, on April 13, the westbound rider and mail packet completed the approximately 1,800 mile journey and arrived in Sacramento, beating the eastbound packet’s arrival in St. Joseph by two days and setting a new standard for speedy mail delivery. Although ultimately short-lived and unprofitable, the Pony Express captivated America’s imagination and helped win federal aid for a more economical overland postal system. It also contributed to the economy of the towns on its route and served the mail service needs of the American West in the days before the telegraph or an efficient transcontinental railroad.
The Pony Express debuted at a time before radios and telephones, when California, which achieved statehood in 1850, was still largely cut off from the eastern part of the country. Letters sent from New York to the West Coast traveled by ship, which typically took at least a month, or by stagecoach on the recently established Butterfield Express overland route, which could take from three weeks to many months to arrive. Compared to the snail’s pace of the existing delivery methods, the Pony Express’ average delivery time of 10 days seemed like lightning speed.
The Pony Express Company, the brainchild of William H. Russell, William Bradford Waddell and Alexander Majors, owners of a freight business, was set up over 150 relay stations along a pioneer trail across the present-day states of Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, Nevada and California. Riders, who were paid approximately $25 per week and carried loads estimated at up to 20 pounds of mail, were changed every 75 to 100 miles, with horses switched out every 10 to 15 miles. Among the riders was the legendary frontiersman and showman William “Buffalo Bill” Cody (1846-1917), who reportedly signed on with the Pony Express at age 14. The company’s riders set their fastest time with Lincoln’s inaugural address, which was delivered in just less than eight days.
The initial cost of Pony Express delivery was $5 for every half-ounce of mail. The company began as a private enterprise and its owners hoped to gain a profitable delivery contract from the U.S. government, but that never happened. With the advent of the first transcontinental telegraph line in October 1861, the Pony Express ceased operations. However, the legend of the lone Pony Express rider galloping across the Old West frontier to deliver the mail lives on today.

On April 3, 1776, because it lacked sufficient funds to build a strong navy, the Continental Congress gives privateers permission to attack any and all British ships.
In a bill signed by John Hancock, its president, and dated April 3, 1776, the Continental Congress issued "INSTRUCTIONS to the COMMANDERS of Private Ships or vessels of War, which shall have Commissions of Letters of Marque and Reprisal, authorizing them to make Captures of British Vessels and Cargoes."
Letters of Marque and Reprisal were the official documents by which 18th-century governments commissioned private commercial ships, known as privateers, to act on their behalf, attacking ships carrying the flags of enemy nations. Any goods captured by the privateer were divided between the ship’s owner and the government that had issued the letter.
Congress informed American privateers on this day that "YOU may, by Force of Arms, attack, subdue, and take all Ships and other Vessels belonging to the Inhabitants of Great Britain, on the high seas, or between high-water and low-water Marks, except Ships and Vessels bringing Persons who intend to settle and reside in the United Colonies, or bringing Arms, Ammunition or Warlike Stores to the said Colonies, for the Use of such Inhabitants thereof as are Friends to the American Cause, which you shall suffer to pass unmolested, the Commanders thereof permitting a peaceable Search, and giving satisfactory Information of the Contents of the Ladings, and Destinations of the Voyages."
The distinction between pirates and privateers was non-existent to those who faced them on the high seas. They behaved in an identical manner, boarding and capturing ships using force if necessary. However, privateers holding Letters of Marque were not subject to prosecution by their home nation and, if captured, were treated as prisoners of war instead of criminals by foreign nations.

Alleged Israeli strike in Damascus, Syria targets building adjacent to Iranian embassy.

New images published by Syrian media outlets show the aftermath of an alleged Israeli airstrike in Damascus a short while ago.
The strike targeted a building adjacent to the Iranian embassy in Syria, in the Damascus area municipality of Mezzeh.
Reuters cites Iran’s SSN news website as saying Israel targeted Iran’s consulate and ambassador’s residence.
There is no immediate information on casualties in the strike.

Strategic blow: Alleged Israeli airstrike takes out Iranian general in Damascus
The strike killed Mohammad Reza Zahedi, a top commander in the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), according to a report in Reuters, citing a security source in Lebanon.
Mohammed Reza Zahedi, the top commander in the Quds Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) for Lebanon and Syria was assassinated in an airstrike on Monday, along with his lieutenant and about five other officers, the IRGC said that night.
Zahedi is the highest-ranking Iranian killed since the current war started, even higher than Sayyed Reza Mousavi, killed in December, The Jerusalem Post has learned.
Reuters reporters at the site in the Mezzeh district of Damascus saw emergency workers clambering atop the rubble of a destroyed building inside the diplomatic compound, adjacent to the main embassy building. Emergency vehicles were parked outside. An Iranian flag hung from a pole in front of the debris.
The Syrian foreign minister and interior minister were both spotted at the scene. Initial reports indicated that at least six people were killed in the strike, which targeted the building adjacent to the Iranian consulate, reported to be used as a military command center for the IRGC. Syrian state media said at least six people were killed and several more were injured. These reports could not be verified by press time.
Besides his wide-ranging responsibilities for terror on Israel’s borders, Zahedi was the highest-level interlocutor for Tehran with Hezbollah.
This means that although Israel has not taken credit, Iran and Hezbollah are already accusing Jerusalem of escalating Israel’s war against Iran’s regional proxies, since removing Zahedi could be seen as a blow to the management of the Lebanese terror groups’ rocket attacks on Israel.
Iranian press reported that Zahedi was meeting with leaders of Palestinian Islamic Jihad at the time of the strike, but these reports could not be independently verified.

Tennessee Senate Passes Bill Prohibiting Vaccines in Food, Awaiting Governor’s Signature.
(A bill like this needs to be the next bill that goes to Gov. DeSantis’s desk for Florida.)

A landmark decision was made in the Tennessee Senate on Thursday as lawmakers passed HB1894, a bill that would redefine the term “drug” within the state’s legal code to include food products containing vaccines or vaccine materials.
The bill now awaits the signature of Governor Bill Lee (R-TN), WSMV reported.
The legislation comes amid concerns from Republican lawmakers about the potential for vaccines to be incorporated into food supplies. The bill specifically targets research that explores the possibility of embedding vaccines into food items, which has been a subject of discussion in scientific circles.
During the discussion in the Senate, proponents of the bill cited research from the University of California Riverside (UCR), where scientists have been investigating the feasibility of using edible plants, such as lettuce, as vehicles for mRNA vaccine delivery.
The Gateway Pundit previously reported* that researchers at the University of California were awarded a $500,000 grant from the National Science Foundation to develop technology that infuses experimental mRNA COVID-19 vaccines into spinach, lettuce, and other edible plants.

*Scientists Are Growing Covid Vaccine-Filled Spinach, Lettuce, Edible Plants To Replace Covid Injections.
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2021/11/scientists-growing-covid-vaccine-filled-spinach-lettuce-edible-plants-replace-covid-injections/

The team of nanobiotechnology experts is currently working on successfully delivering DNA containing mRNA BioNTech technology into chloroplasts, the part of the plants that instruct its cells’ DNA to replicate the vaccine material.
The researchers are tasked with demonstrating that genetically modified plants can produce enough mRNA to replace COVID-19 jabs and infuse the plants with the right dosage required to eat to replace vaccines.
Experimental mRNA vaccines will be edible, Juan Pablo Giraldo, an associate professor in UCR’s Department of Botany and Plant Sciences who is leading the research explained in a press release published by the university on Sept. 16.
“Ideally, a single plant would produce enough mRNA to vaccinate a single person,” Giraldo said. “We are testing this approach with spinach and lettuce and have long-term goals of people growing it in their own gardens,”
“Farmers could also eventually grow entire fields of it,” he added.
Last year, Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) revealed that taxpayer money is being used to develop “transgenic edible vaccines,” transforming edible plants like lettuce and spinach into factories for producing mRNA vaccines as alternatives to mRNA shots.
“Do we want humans eating vaccines that were grown in corn meant to stop pigs from getting diarrhea? I don’t think we want that to happen. Yet that almost happened, and it could happen. There’s another case where the pollen cross-contaminated another crop of corn, and 155 acres of corn had to be burned. What are the cases where we’re not discovering this? I think it’s dangerous to play God with our food,” Rep. Massie said.
State Rep. Scott Cepicky (R-Culleoka), a vocal advocate for the bill, emphasized the need for regulation during a committee meeting in February. He pointed out that if vaccines were to be included in food, such as lettuce, the state would need to ensure that consumption is properly controlled to prevent under or overdosing.
“You would have to get a prescription for that to make sure that we know how much of the lettuce you have to eat based off of your body type so we don’t under-vaccinate you, which leads to the possibility of the efficacy of the drug being compromised, or we overdose you based off how much lettuce is [eaten],” he said during a House committee meeting in February according to WKRN.
“All this does is [say] we’re going to classify these types of food sources as pharmaceuticals, so if you want to consume them you would go to your doctor and get a prescription.”
Governor Bill Lee has not yet indicated whether he will sign the bill into law. If enacted, Tennessee would be the first state to explicitly classify vaccine-containing food as a drug, setting a precedent that other states might follow depending on how this issue evolves nationally.

The Tennessee State Senate has also taken a definitive stance against the controversial topic of “chemtrails” by passing SB 2691/HB 2063.
The bill, which aims to ban the intentional release of chemicals into the atmosphere for geoengineering purposes, was sponsored by Representative Monty Fritts (R-Kingston) and Senator Steve Southerland (R-Morristown) and won approval in the Senate.

Can you even imagine the sighs of relief from her normal family members when they got uninvited to a pretentious 20 y/o vegan's wedding … lol.

When I looked this up the first thing I noticed was it was from 2019, but vegan/vegetarians stories are usually good for several years due to the absolute insanity involved with these people.

A bride-to-be has a lot of people talking about who she is and isn't inviting to her upcoming wedding.
Not only does the woman want her guests to eat vegan on her wedding day, she wants them to give up animal products forever.
Anyone who refused was promptly uninvited, including her mom and two cousins, who were bridesmaids.
This might have stayed a private matter, but the bride posted something in a Facebook group called, 'Vegan revolution,' asking for advice about her omnivore family guilt-tripping her into hosting "murderers."
As for reasoning the bride, who is 20, says even though her loved ones were originally invited and agreed to a vegan menu, she couldn't go forward knowing they would go back to eating meat the next day.
She also claims many in her family are anti-vegan and will attack her vegan friends.
At least one of those family members responded, saying they have been nothing but supportive and are hurt by the bride's decision.

Florida Supreme Court rules to let marijuana legalization amendment on 2024 ballot.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida Supreme Court ruled on Monday to allow a marijuana legalization amendment on the 2024 ballot.
The amendment would allow for adults 21 years or older to possess, purchase or use marijuana products and marijuana accessories for non-medical, personal consumption.
The initiative was put forth by Smart and Safe Florida.
Currently, Florida allows medical marijuana for adult usage. According to the Medical Marijuana Program, Florida had over 830,000 residents on the program, as of July 2023.
In a press release my Smart Approaches to Marijuana, an organization seeking to combat “big marijuana,” argued that following the decision, it is time to “unite” to combat the “predatory industry” form “abusing” the state.
“Election year politics in Florida are about to get a potent dose of pot pushing by Big Marijuana,” said Dr. Kevin Sabet, the president of the organization and former advisor to Presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama.
“This campaign to inject more dangerous drugs into Florida’s communities will allow Big Marijuana to spend millions on misinformation and drive voters for the benefit of industry backers,” he said.
“Today’s high-potency, industrialized THC drugs in the form of candies, drinks, vape oils and other products are often 6-times as potent as regular marijuana, making them more addictive and more dangerous,” Sabet added. “Despite the industry’s claims, their high-potency THC drugs are increasingly linked to IQ loss and significant mental health issues including depression, suicidality, psychosis, and schizophrenia.”
He argued that the pro-marijuana groups will ally with “Big Tobacco,” dumping millions of dollars into the ballot initiative that Sabet said will unequivocally be framed around issues like social justice, tax revenue, rights and health care.
“The data from a decade of the industry’s lies and lobbying is clear. Legal weed in Florida will cost taxpayers more money, worsen an already significant mental health crisis, impact public safety and snare more young people and minority groups in a spiral of addiction,” he said.
Legislation attempting to limit THC potency in marijuana, if the the ballot measure was to pass, failed to make it through the legislative process.
The bill would have required that marijuana for smoking could not have had a THC potency greater than 30% and all other marijuana products, excluding edibles, could not have a THC potency greater than 60%. It also regulated marijuana edibles and vape pens.
When the legislation was going through committee stops, Rep. Randy Fine, R-Palm Bay, expressed his support for the bill because if the concern that the passage of the ballot amendment was likely going to happen.
