I Try To Help Out With The Household Chores

But some of them are just too frustrating and I have to leave them for the wife. For instance, no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't get this bastard to fire up.

  1. If there's a household chore you don't want to do just eff it up big time and the wife will never let you do it again....

    1. Sounds like a winning strategy, Dan.
Luckily for me, she doesn't trust me to do most of them the way she wants them done, so I'm off the hook for most of 'em. Thank God, the laundry is one of those.

  2. USAF, around 75, the shrubs from the front of the building to the road needed trimmed. The job rotated through the squadron. Sgt. Tyree got it on this day. He was Good. They never looked so good. Captain was impressed. He declared Tyree would be The Guy who trimmed them in the future. Tyree got wind of it, grabbed the trimmers, went out and butchered the hell out of them. Game,set,match.. Nope..

    1. DON'T ... DON'T. I heard that works to keep people from doing things that you really don't want them to do ... brain dead Joe and his ho Kamala told me that anyways.
If I never get it cranked, I don't have to use it.

  4. When I was married, I did the laundry, I cooked, I kept the house cleaned and the yard kept up, remodeled a couple of houses because I did a much better job at it. I was the house husband, she was the wage earner and we did well for twelve years until her parents moved in "temporary" which lasted over a year and by then I was adios...

    1. It's sad that she didn't understand that a married relationship can't survive that kind of relationship pressure most of the time, even under the best of conditions.
In actuality, I've always done my share around here. Before my breathing issues, fortunately, my share was half inside and half outside. Since I've become a handicap, I do 95% of the housework because she still works. I just want her to be able to come home and feel that this place is a place away from work. She always made me feel that way when I was the primary earner. Now I'm at home and she makes more than I ever did. We've always done well at sharing the load. I'm so thankful for her.
