On Sunday, the Palm Beach County Sheriff, Ric Bradshaw, announced the identity of the man shot and killed trying to enter President Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate. The intruder has been identified as 21-year-old Austin Tucker Martin of North Carolina.

No Secret Service or PBSO personnel were injured, and no Secret Service protectees were present at the location during the time of the incident, officials said. Trump was also not in Florida when the shooting occurred.
The FBI, Secret Service and Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office are investigating, including the man’s background, actions and potential motive, as well as the use of force.
Bradshaw said at a press conference that a deputy and two Secret Service agents on the detail went to investigate after an individual made his way onto the "inner perimeter" near the north gate of Mar-a-Lago.
That's uncomfortably close, although the president wasn't present, nor were any other Secret Service protectees.

Sheriff Bradshaw added some other details as well:
"They (A Deputy and two Secret Service agents) confronted a white male that was carrying a gas can and a shotgun. He was ordered to drop those two pieces of equipment that he had with him – at which time he put down the gas can, raised the shotgun to a shooting position," Bradshaw told reporters. "At that point in time, the deputy and the two Secret Service agents fired their weapons and neutralized the threat."
He said the suspect did not exchange any words with law enforcement officers who instructed the man to "drop the items."
An assassination attempt? President Trump is often at Mar-a-Lago on weekends, although it's not difficult to ascertain his whereabouts on any given day. But, President Trump has attracted his fair share of attention from nutcase would-be assassins.
Suicide by cop? There are lots of easier ways to do that, if that's one's intent. Martin's intentions here remain a head-scratcher.

I wonder if there is any correlation to the Las Vegas power substation incident? Bringing a shotgun is not really a good choice, but it can work. The gasoline, though, is odd. I expect there is much more to this than we will know, for a while.

I don't have any idea what this could possibly have to do with anything in Las Vegas. A shotgun will kill people and we will never know what a liberal idiot would do with gasoline in this situation.

Most likely an insane leftist muppet. There are no shortage of those wandering around. However we can never be sure what he was planning or why. Becaus both sides routinely engage in misinformation and propaganda. Even if he left a "manifesto" it wouldn't be released till it was "sanitized" and edited. So we can never know for sure.
