Well, tomorrow is the 25th anniversary of the day Mrs. Schmidt fell for my charms and agreed to service my every need. So she has planned several "events" which will keep me occupied, some of it away from the house, for the next few days. Since my becoming 'disabled' I don't take her on distant vacations, take her out and go for rides in the country, down by the river, and such stuff like we always used to do. So I feel slightly obligated to cater to her whims these days as she doesn't ask for much.
Posting will suffer from here throughout the weekend. You guys take care and I'll post here and there, but the dish washer comes first as she has a contract that she keeps waving in my face.
I have got some posts 'scheduled' throughout the next few days but I haven't done that before so this is where we find out if I did it right.
I took Noah's advice, but my old lady only likes flowers if they come with roots and I can plant them in the yard.
Happy 25th! Will there be another 25? Nothing like the love, submission, loyalty, persistence of a good dishwasher! May your plates and goblets be clean and stacked forever more! Twenty five years huh? It has been what, at least a year and it is either me or you that is getting moldy smelling...
ReplyDeleteThank you Cederq. That was very touching.
DeleteI think before I saw your comment that Glen has already confirmed who stanketh. I would have said it but he knows you better than I. My wench has confirmed though, that at times I have caused the hair to curl in her nostrils. I do love me some brussel sprouts and I eat them as frequently as she will allow it.
I just want to jump in and help out - it's definitely you that stinks, Cederq!!!! HAR HAR HAR HAR HAR!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI shouldn't laugh at poor old Cederq - I know if my wife ever regains her sense of sight and smell - I've had it too!!! HAR HAR HAR!!!
Make sure you treat her good and has a good time yourself, VH. Women that have the stout hearts and good humour to tolerate men like us are few and far between.
Thank you Glen. I was hoping that I could count on you to go ahead and bust the truth out with Cederq. I've always heard, 'He that smelt it first, hath dealt it.' and Cederq was QUICK to notice the funk. It must be rolling up off of him.
DeleteAnd yes sir, I try to treat her well. She is absolutely the best thing to happen to me in my time here on Earth.
Glen, when I lived in South Dakota and even here in Oregon, when the Artic Zephyrs kick in and blow south, I can surely smell a foul odor wafting with the breezes that can only be originating from Alberta...
ReplyDeleteNot my fault! If it was, you’d be getting a warm, moist chinook! 😂👍
DeleteHow are YOU holding up, you miserable old so-and-so? I’d heard about some of it on your blog and just wanted to offer some condolences for Guido. I hope in time you find another K9 friend that needs rescuing.
Without being a moocher, I want to stand with Glen and also offer my condolences again.
DeleteWe're coming up on 35, I'm going fishing. Congratulations.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to you guys also. And Thanks.
DeleteCongratulations on your 25th! My wife and I are coming up to 43 years.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to both of you too. And Thank you.
DeleteI am coming up to 0, do I get any congrats too? Congrats both to Bluesman and Birdchaser!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to spending your life with the only one who can tolerate you in person. And Glen confirmed yesterday that it has a lot to do with the funk emanating from your corner of the room.
DeleteCongratulations to you both!
ReplyDeleteShe must be quite the lady to put up with your ass that long.
LMAO!
Just kidding.
Thanks Phil. No need to retract. Your comment is right on point. She is my better half, no bones about it. I hate to think where I would be without her. She let me party, but stopped me before I went too far. She let me have my hobbies, but kept me from making them addictions. She lets me eat like I used to, but in moderation. She makes sure I always have cash on me, but not enough to go too far, lol.
DeleteI LOVE HER ... and I'm not sure I would be here if it wasn't for her.
