I posted one picture of this car quite a while back on another blog and I think I caused several people to throw up a little, lol. But now this:
1934 Ford Coupe takes Goodguys 2023 Tanks
Inc. Hot Rod of the Year title at the 17th BASF Nashville Nationals.
Owned by Coby Gewertz.
The Saint Christopher Coupe as Gewertz calls it, started life as a body
shell he acquired from Mike Wolfe of the television show American
Pickers.
The build was performed over several years by South City Rod &
Custom in Hayward, California, and features a long list of traditional
hot rod custom touches such as the chopped top, rows of louvers across
the roof and deck lid, vintage magnesium wheels and of course, a souped
up 331 cubic-inch vintage Chrysler Hemi engine using a lumpy cam,
adjustable rocker arms, M/T valve covers, and a magneto. Enderle
injector stacks burst through the hood top and have been converted to
EFI. The T5 five-speed transmission is connected using a Wilcap adapter
and controlled by a Hurst shifter.
The wild paint work is by Compani Color.
I like the car ... even the paint job doesn't turn me off.
