I'm old enough to remember Marco Rubio was a run of the mill neocon that loved every foreign war he ever met.
ReplyDeleteHe HATED Trump's gut in 2016 and was at best lukewarm in 2020. As Acting Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, Rubio oversaw the 2020 release of the Senate report on Russian interference in the 2016 election. According to Rubio the report did find "irrefutable evidence" of an aggressive, multifaceted Russian effort to interfere in the election on Trump’s behalf.
Rubio was a strong supporter of the TPP and every other free trade agreement. He opposed tariffs accross the board.
Rubio was a key architect of the bill that combined increased border security with a pathway to citizenship for millions of undocumented immigrants that almost passed during the Obama years.
Call me dumb but It is hard for me to believe in Rubio's MAGA conversion.
Are we supposed to believe that the positions he adopted 4 years ago are more strongly held than the positions he held for the first 50 years of his life?
If people keep promoting him he will become the next MAGA nominee and then we will truly find how MAGA he really is. The problem is that if we find out he was not really MAGA once he has already become the next nominee then we are fucked.
