Virginia Will Retain 5 Republican Districts
In an opinion delivered by Justice D. Arthur Kelsey [appointed by then-Gov. Mark Warner (D)] the Circuit Court says the process Democrats used to draw new congressional boundaries was unconstitutional. That process “incurably taints the resulting referendum vote and nullifies its legal efficacy.”
VIRGINIA – The Virginia Supreme Court on Friday overturned the state’s redistricting ballot measure that would have given Democrats an edge in four House districts, dealing the party a massive blow ahead of the midterms.
The ruling now gives Republicans a clear lead in the gerrymandering efforts over the last year, which were further inflamed by the Supreme Court’s Voting Rights Act decision last week.
Now lets get rid of the rest of the Democrat Virginia Gerrymandered Districts
ReplyDeleteHell yeah. Lets un-gerrymander every state.
DeleteTHIS! My state (NY) has a Dem Supermajority.
DeleteI sure wish the best for NY but DAMN ... they keep voting for the worst of the worst in NY. Policies, politicians, etc. They need to pull their heads out and catch a breath of free air.
DeleteNow do New England!

And California.
DeleteIf the Virginia Legislature and the Virginia Governor had followed the law, which laid out specific requirements for redistricting, then none of this would have happened. But, no, Democrats don't believe the law pertains to them.
ReplyDeleteDumbasses. Now arrest them for violating state law.
You're absolutely right, Beans.
DeleteI constantly find myself shocked ... well, maybe not so much anymore ... that Democrats REPEATEDLY break federal laws, much less state laws, and just brush it off with no real repercussions.
When are we going to institute the "Rule Of Law" equally among R's and D's.
