Now that is a pick up for men! A beauty! Didn't go very fast, but it got you there. My grandfather(dad side) cousin had one and we kids loving riding in the back.
ReplyDeleteI've only known one person who had a Diamond T in the family and she said the truck was indestructible. 6 children learned to drive in that truck and it was a daily workhorse on her grandfathers farm. She said after her grandfather passed away, some creeps showed up when no one was home but her grandmother and offered her money, and she said she felt coerced, and she sold the truck. They went to the cops but they never located the truck or the men.
DeleteA pick up for men? I would drive that in a heartbeat. Yes, a beauty.

Well, it could be a good way for a woman to get a man's attention .... hahaha, just kidding.
DeleteMy grandfather and 2 uncles had a 49 on the dairy farm that my mother was born and raised on. I remember riding in the front seat between my uncles with the shifter between my legs. My last memory of that truck was riding in the bed holding a calf that still had the after birth on her. I have the gauges and headlights from that truck my cousin has the hood emblems.
ReplyDeleteExcellent memories and mementos.
