My wife was ranting the first of this year when she made some peanut butter cookies for work, they have a Hershey's kiss inserted on the top while they are still soft, and they didn't taste right. She has refused to buy Hershey's chocolate since then.
I threw away a whole bag of Reese's peanut butter cups a couple of months ago because they tasted nasty.
I hope they lose millions for trying to make the product with cheap ass ingredients, all the while raising prices due to the costs of chocolate ... they weren't even buying chocolate, they were buying some cheap ass rubber by-product or something.
The sad part is, Hershey and Reese's have been going down hill for years. There are some DYI Reese's recipes on the web. Just be sure to buy quality chocolate to coat them in.
ReplyDeleteAfter reading the comment they made in response to the Reese's grandson's complaints, we probably won't be buying any more chocolate from them.
DeleteI still won't eat that dreck.

We don't eat that much chocolate so we'll just spend a little more and buy better stuff.
DeleteSnickers bars are still good.

Best way to show our displeasure is just not buying any of that crap. Because I am diabetic I don't eat candies and candy bars and don't support them at all and their other brands of food and drinks I refuse to buy or consume because they all taste like petroleum mystery meat shit. Make them hurt till the companies implode.
ReplyDeleteThey aren't making any money off of us. We actually don't buy that many prepared sweets. If we want something my personal cook will make a pie or a cake. We don't drink any soft drinks, energy drinks, or almost anything like that. We drink mostly sweet tea, she drinks a lot more water than I do.
DeleteBut I think, like you, that people should make 'em hurt by boycotting the products.
The notice is dated April 1. 'nuff said.
ReplyDeleteNice catch. I'm hoping that is a coincidence but your observation is duly noted.
