Although I will submit that Jay Leno did crack me up more than a few times also. He had a different style than Carson but he still had the attitude of a comedian. I am open to opposing opinions because I probably didn't see all of his shows.
At one time America was a civilized nation but we were saved by diversity.

DeleteCarson was a product of a more civilized era. Along with other talk show hosts like Steve Allen and Jack Paar. But it's indisputable that Carson was the absolute king of talk shows.
ReplyDeleteWe watched his show without fail. None of the others came close. Leno tried ... and he was okay ... but no Carson.
