China has just sent a warning to the US over the blockade of their ships, which they say are moving in and out of the Strait of Hormuz and expect that to continue.
Here’s the news via MSN:
China has signalled support for Iran and warned against interference, after the United States announced a naval blockade targeting Iranian maritime traffic.
Responding to the move, China’s defence minister, Dong Jun, said Beijing was committed for peace and stability in the world and was “monitoring the situation in the Middle East.”
“Our ships are moving in and out of the waters of the Strait of Hormuz. We have trade & energy agreements with Iran. We will respect & honour them and expect others not to meddle in our affairs,” he said. “Iran controls the Strait of Hormuz, and it is open for us.”
The comments came after the United States Central Command said its forces would begin implementing a blockade of all maritime traffic entering and exiting Iranian ports from 10 a.m. ET on 13 April (7:30 p.m. IST), in line with a presidential order.
CENTCOM said the blockade will be enforced impartially against vessels of all nations entering or departing Iranian ports and coastal areas, including all Iranian ports on the Arabian Gulf and Gulf of Oman.
The US forces will not impede freedom of navigation for vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz to and from non-Iranian ports, it added.
This does set up a tricky situation, however President Trump has made clear that the entire point of doing this is to clear the strait of mines. Hopefully China will not escalate this blockade into military action.

All it takes is some one to fuck it up and a China bound ship suffers damage or sunk and the party gets called and all hell will break loose.
ReplyDeleteOr a third party attack to stir things up. The Dolphin class can lay mines, fire drones-missiles as well as torpedo's.
DeleteWell, lets just hope that our Navy doesn't sink any Chinese oil tankers.
DeleteThe CCP has been waging a non kinetic asymmetrical war against the US for decades. Wouldn't take a lot to tip things over and make it kinetic. China is asshoe....and NOT our friends.
ReplyDeleteI used to think we were closer than we are now. The one thing that bothers me the most about a conflict with China as far as ability is, that EVERY DAMN DAY on TV, everybody and there mother talks about how we are almost running out of munitions. WHY do we put that very serious information out there for all our enemies to hear. And I know they have ways of learning / knowing things but why announce it over a loudspeaker?
DeleteMany reasons
Delete1. First Amendment.
2. If a TV newscaster knows that information it means that the Chinese, Russians, Iranians, North Koreans, etc. already know as well. By the time the information makes it to the public it means that it is widely known.
3. Our enemies can count. Every country in the planet has an estimate of every other countries' arsenals. Every time we fire a missile it gets counted down by our enemies. We do the same and that is how we know that the Iranians are running low in certain types of drones/missiles.
OMG, THERE'S A FIRST AMENDMENT? I understand First Amendment, dipshit. (sarc)
DeleteBut if I'm screwing your sister, would it be smart for me to say that out loud? I have that right, First Amendment, right? Is it smart? Probably not.
Damn, this is so simple you would think people would understand it.
Just because you know something doesn't mean you should take out a full page ad.
If the enemy knows something or learns something, lets let them do it on their own, we don't have to volunteer the info.
With this warning, number two of the three big boys on the school yard are circling each other. Fists are clenched and combat stances are in place... Lets see who throws the first punch.
ReplyDeleteMy opinion only, I don't think a true conflict between us and China is in the works, anytime soon that is ... I'm seriously hoping.
DeleteWhy are we even pushing China?!?
DeleteI was not too happy about going into Iran without an imminent threat. Nuclear program was already gone. We bombed it last year. Ayatollah was 86 years old, he was on his way out anyway.
Had I been asked I would have said don't do it. But we did it and I get the justifications to go into Iran. The question is why the fuck are we NOW pushing China around? Nothing good can come from us cornering China.
This is not smart!
Also, your censorship criteria makes no fucking sense. You agree with everything I just said and yet delete the comment. Complete bitch move and anti American. So much for freedom of speech in this blog.
Delete de comment. I don't give a shit. I'm gone anyway
Good riddance.
DeleteAnd I agreed with one comment and left it but the comment before that was just stupidity so I deleted it.
And yes, it's my blog. You don't like what happens here GTFO.
The nuclear program had been started up and we didn't get it all because some of it was buried under a mountain. Do you NOT read/listen to the news.
And does your ignorant ass believe that when the 86 year old Ayatollah died that Islam and Sharia Law was gonna die with him? .. how fucking stupid is that.
We aren't pushing China around. We are pushing Iran around and they are involved with China. China is suffering because they get involved with barbarian regimes like themselves that kill their people for nothing.
You don't like my "censorship" here, don't come here and say ignorant shit.
Chickenshit anonymous bitch.
