I enlisted in the Air Force in 69. And proud of my service. All the brothers in arms need their Month, not just a day.

DeleteI graduated in June of '73. My number was 85. Heh, bet no one younger than me "knows" what having a number meant.
ReplyDeleteI had numerous family members in theater. Always appreciated their service and wished they could /would have spoken more about their lives during that time.
I believe the Vietnam Veterans and the MIA/KIA during that conflict received very little of the RESPECT and recognition they were due. The US was a very conflicted place at that time and the loyalties of the people were severely misplaced as far as I'm concerned.
