I'm not exactly sure what to make of this - on the one hand I wasn't terribly impressed with Noem and she made more than a few unforced errors. Having a fricking affair (assuming she did) was a big one. All the photo-ops where she played dress-up by wearing field agent clothes was stupid too. But she did turn in good numbers, so there's that.

I guess we knew Trump was twitchy like that, so now everyone gets to change seats. Also, what's with appointing sitting senators? We barely have a majority and he's taking one away to replace Noem? How the hell does that help? Was no one else waiting in the wings? So yeah, I'm kinda unsure what to make of this.
Gov.Stitt will have 30 days to replace Mullins and he already has two qualified picks. I've heard it will most likely be Lt. Gov. Matt Pinnell. He could also consider Donelle Harder, his chief of staff. The replacement will likely be quick so the seat won't be open long.
DeleteI think one of the major factors in Noem's, after quite a few mistakes, replacement was her spending $200,000 in a video, supposedly just pushing her ideas. The video wasn't approved and it was allegedly very self-centered. Mind you, this is just stuff I'm reading, may just be jealous people talking. We'll see.
It wasn't $200,000 it was $200 MILLION and most of it went to companies related to Noem.
DeleteOne of the companies that received a good chunk of the $ was created 10 days before they won the contract and is owned by Tricia Mclaughlin's husband.
I started a business from the ground. Trust me 10 days after starting my business I didn't get a multimillion dollar contract.
