(Makes me wonder when CDL violations started attracting attention in California. If I remember correctly, they were one of the largest issuers of bogus CDL licenses. It doesn't say IF they arrested any illegal invader/criminal drivers.)

ReplyDeleteREMINDER: While the media wants our focus diverted abroad, this is what hundreds of CDL schools across the country look like.
The average Google review isn't even written in English & migrants are being trained to drive on U.S. roads in languages such as Somali, Hindi & Arabic
Yes sir. Sadly, I see shit like that all the time. The CDL licensing requirements in this country are in the toilet. I've heard that Trump's administration, Duffy, are shutting them down but, in my opinion, not nearly fast enough. And they just change locations and names and start these schools right back up again.
DeleteIf they started using asset forfeiture these violations would stop quickly.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely! THAT would be an awesome move.
DeleteThere are SO many commercial regulations for big rigs that they can ALWAYS find a mechanical violation of some kind. Even on a brand new vehicle straight off the lot. Commercial vehicle enforcement isn't really about safety. It's about generating revenue.....like most "traffic violations" issued.
ReplyDeleteThe vehicle violations, while I'm glad they are enforced, is not the main issue to me. I want the driver's off the road that shouldn't be there.
DeleteI drove an older rig for several years right after I got out of the military. I got stopped a few times. They didn't overly penalize me, well, the company, over a LOT of minor violations. They did concentrate on the bigger regs. I never had much trouble and it was an old truck and trailer with a lot of wear and tear.
I had my class A in Kali back in the 80's. Drove a million dollar scanner around So. Cal. No cargo, no changes in weight. A very predictable unchanging load. CHP constantly harassed us. It would never stick but it was a pain in the ass dealing with them. They just assumed it was rich company and could afford the incessant fines. As I said...safety isn't the goal. They are looking to generate revenue.
DeleteNot even gonna bother to present an opposing view ... i learned how that will go. Waste of time.
DeleteDid Ponch and Jon trade their bikes in for a CHP enforcement truck?
ReplyDeleteEwww, I couldn't stand those two ... well mostly Estrada. (His wife accused him of some really filthy stuff.) I didn't watch that show ... hated it.
