It would be nice to think that the audience is laughing at him … but I seriously doubt it.
Brainiac Bill Maher apparently isn't bright enough to figure out that it's not the carbon that will kill you, it's the lack of oxygen that will. And none of the carbon-based lifeforms in his audience are bright enough to figure that out either.

Bill Maher thinks he just did a smackdown on Burgum, but he did a self smackdown. I wonder if anybody clued him in after the show.
DeleteOkay Bill, how about we put you in a room and fill it with pure nitrogen. Nitrogen must be a pollutant. How about we fill your room with water? Helium? Hydrogen? Of course the common denominator here is the room, so maybe that's what's killing you.
