Operating Under Medication/Intoxication

I pulled a muscle in my upper back pretty bad last night and I have been 'self-medicating' because of the intense pain. Medication and a heating pad have been in use almost all day. Hopefully I will be seeing some relief soon.

Times like these are the times when you reap the rewards of always putting your woman first in everything you do. She has been awesome about not keeping track of my medication times. She made me two margaritas and brought them to me at different times, walking off and saying "Whoops baby, was that sweet tea I brought you or something else?" I assured her it was sweet tea ... and professed my unwavering love for her.

So far, I'm just floating right along but she had to spell check the posts I made today.

  1. Hopefully you aren't mixing opiates and alcohol. That can and frequently does have negative outcomes. And even NSAIDs with alcohol can be hard on hepatic function.

    1. I am taking both but not at the same time. I let the effects of one wear off a little before I have a drink. I seldom drink anymore so the quantities are low.

  2. A good woman. Just remember if worse comes to worse, there is always NyQuil
You don't feel pain when you are unconscious..

    1. I almost OD'ed on ZzzQuil right after it happened and I was able to zone in and out of sleep for a few hours but it does nothing to alleviate the pain. I have some Lortab 10's that I got the last time I had a kidney stone and I've been breaking them in half to keep the pain down and still stay somewhat alert.

    2. Children's Dime-A-Tap cough medicine does that to me, conks me out for 10 hours or more, why I have no idea, but Nyquil doesn't do it for me, just relieves the symptoms.

    3. I didn't think you could get Dimetapp any more. I don't know why I thought that though.

  3. Dude! Don't under any condition to allow your other, better half spell check or moderate your blog! You may have some serious explaining to do... What daniel barger said, don't mix opiates and ETOH, serious liver and even kidney functions can be compromised and your pancreas doesn't like it much. getter better and quite spraining yourself on Sydney boob pictures.

    1. She's only actually checking it to laugh at my stupidity and to regulate the amount of boob pictures I post. She did say, for a price, she would spell check the comment you just made. LOL.
