An illegal alien unleashed into the U.S. last year was arrested at the conclusion of violent chase that left federal agents injured and many vehicles damaged in Minnesota over the weekend.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released photographs and details about the harrowing chain of events that unfolded on Sunday in St. Paul.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) tracked down Juan Carlos Rodrigues Romero during targeted enforcement in the capital city and stopped his SUV.
Officers identified themselves and ordered Romero to roll down his window, warning that they would be forced to break it after he refused.
Instead, Romero sped away, reportedly hitting one of the officers with his SUV.
During an ensuing pursuit, Romero struck several parked cars in a lot near his residence and then proceeded to ram an ICE vehicle.
Another officer was hit when Romero again fled in his SUV.
“The officer who was struck by Romero’s car defensively fired two rounds from his service weapon, causing Romero to drive off again. No one was struck by any of the defensive shots fired,” DHS stated.
“Romero then drove to the front door of his apartment complex, rammed another ICE vehicle, then got out of his car and attempted to flee into his apartment.”
Officers managed to bring Romero to the ground, but he continued to violently resist and reportedly bit another officer during the struggle.
He was eventually subdued, handcuffed, and taken into custody.
Two officers were treated for non-life threatening injuries at a local hospital.
Romero entered the U.S. in 2024 via the Biden regime’s illegitimate CBP One app, which allowed more than a million unvetted, inadmissible illegal aliens into the country.
The Cuban remains in ICE custody at this time.
