Friday Rides - The Good - The Bad - And The Ugly

 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle Convertible

This custom 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle convertible features some modern muscle, thanks to a supercharged LT4 V8 engine mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission and a Ford 9-inch rear end. It’s finished in Pastel Blue.

I would have to replace those wheels/tires if it were mine ... sigh.

It was selling with No Reserve at the 2025 Scottsdale Fall Auction, Oct. 15-18 at WestWorld. I couldn't sign back on to see what it sold for.

(I posted this last night. I hit the post button and went to bed ... blogger had other plans.)

  1. I grew up in that time. Had a 67 and 71 Chevelle SS and a 69 El Camino SS. Call me a purist but that needs a 427 with a Holly 4 bbl carb, Hooker headers and Contential glass packs. 4 speed Muncie with Hurst T-bar shifter and 343 posi-track rear end. Look best with Crager SS mags and Goodyear white letter 60's and 70'. Top is all off with a set or air shocks in the rear!

    1. Love your idea of a sweet ride. Me and you would've been looking at all the same rides at the car shows.
I owned a '69 Chevelle SS for a short time. Got hit and totaled by a drunk woman, sitting still in front of my house trying to make a left turn into my driveway.
