Both the wife and I have doctor appointments out of town. Hers is this afternoon and mine is tomorrow morning so what I've posted this morning is all you're going to get until we get home tomorrow. We're spending the night with a friend. So you guys take it easy ... or however you can get it and enjoy life. I'll see you when I see you.
UPDATE: We have made it back. Both of our appointments went okay, hers really well. She is clear of any signs of cancer still and they will most likely move her appointments to annual. Great news.
My appointment went as expected. Emphysema is just one of those conditions that just gets worse from all I've seen. I'm doing those things that I can to keep it from getting worse faster, But I'm just not one of those people that is going to totally change my lifestyle and I ain't skeered of death. For my wife's sake, I want to hang on to live just 5 minutes after she passes away. Then this hull can dry up and turn to dust. Early in life she had a husband that passed away from cancer and it just about caused her to lose it and I don't want to do that to her ... ever.
Geriatric Recreation. We too seem to do more medical mileage than any other kind.
ReplyDeleteSad ain't it. I've spent more time in my truck going and coming to doctors appointments than any other reason over the last year or two. We do mange to sneak in a side trip or two from time to time and find some nice places to eat.
DeleteHave fun Karl and Mrs. Karl! Jumpinjn, you are so damn right! I rack up more miles on my truck for medical appointments than for anything else. I don't drive at night anymore due to the damn bright assed LED headlights and I am at the age my quiet apartment is where I want to be with the drapes closed and the phone off.
ReplyDeleteThanks Cederq. It was an okay trip all things considered. I feel the same as you about being home and in my little fortress of solitude as much as possible.
DeleteAny medical news that isn’t a negative is good news. Think good thoughts and live for another day. The best to you both
ReplyDeleteThank you. Agreed. Best to you and yours also.
