  1. My buddy had 340 with a six pack and 4speed cuda. Picked it up for $1000 dollars around about 1980. It would be worth a lot more now.

  2. I bought a 1969 Dodge Coronet while I was stationed in Alabama in 1975. It was an unmarked state police car and had been assigned to a captain and was retired when it hit 48,000 miles. It was the police interceptor version and it had a 440cid engine with a 6pack carburetor, the big 727 automatic transmission and 11" front disk and 11X2,5" rear drums with a heavy duty frame and additional oil and tranny coolers and a 250amp Motorola alternator. It was a dog getting off the line but when the secondaries opened up and then the tertiaries carbs opened up I was like a fighter jet on take off, pressed back into my seat. it had a certified, corrected speedometer of 160mph and never checked that as I got past 135mph I was about crapping my pants. It was a beast!

    1. I think we all have owned vehicles that we would love to have back in the garage today. That sounds like one of those. Sounds like a beast to me too.

Saturday Morning Fix

It's the Yellow #6 and the cheese cultures that do it for me.
