Time Out

Rough day already ... and I've got people from the Medical Sales place coming to set me up with oxygen and a concentrator ... whoopee. I'll be glad to get through today without losing my mind and/or my patience.

  1. Hang in there. Years and years ago the concentrators were the size of a mini fridge and really noisy some of my clients had 30 feet of hose hooked together so they could keep the machine in a back room. The new units I’ve seen are very impressive and quiet. Hope you have success today

    1. Thanks Jumpinjn. Appreciate you!
I do have one of the newer concentrators but it's used and I worry that it could die any day now. Don't know how long these things last. They are supposed to be bringing me a home concentrator and a mobile one, something like the Inogen I have now. They are also bringing tanks for use in case of emergency. I don't like strangers and people who have anything to do with disability insurance. Everyone is out to get their share and sometimes the patient/customer is just a source of income.

  2. Well, just don't go off the edge and strangle one or so people with your tube over a misunderstanding with your bill or co-pay....

    1. Well, the event went off much better than I could have hoped. The guy called before he got here like they said he would. He brought in a home concentrator on wheels (approx. 1.5 ft. h. - 1.5 ft. w. - 1 ft. d.) Very light. A portable concentrator, similar to the used Inogen I have now, spare batteries, chargers for home and truck, a lot of hose and cannulas. He asked me if I knew how to operate the stuff and did I have any questions and he unassed within 5 or 10 minutes of getting here. He was friendly and knowledgeable and we got along great. It's all covered by my insurance since I've already paid my deductible for this year. I was happy with the whole deal. No strangling or unauthorized hose use.

    2. Good new is refreshing. And it helps alleviate some of my anxiety over my oxygen breaking down now that I have two spares.

    2. I do not consider Filthie as a relative or relative, just because we share the same continent doesn't mean squat.

    3. My bad. As much as you two crack on each other I just figured you had to be kin. (jk)

    4. One would think that huh? It is a lot like my interaction with my brother, sarcastic as hell we call each other the most vile epitaphs, gross and degrading words and comments and we love each other, his wife surely doesn't understand how or why we aren't at blows... Maybe Filthie is an other brother from another mother. I wonder how that is going to go over with Glen, he might preform Seppuku just anguishing over the possibility.

    5. Being able to interact like that without one party losing their mind is a sign of a well adjusted sense of humor ... a lot of people can't reach that place in their mind.

    6. This is just the way of it. I go on the computer to share my sensitive feelings and emote … and all fags like Cederq do is undermine my self esteem! So I come here looking for a safe place and all I get is more hate!!!
      😭

    7. "fags like Cederq" ... please Filthie, tell me it ain't so. I mean, you know him better than me but he doesn't 'identify' that way so I had no idea. And I was trying to make Cederq feel better by trying to compare him to you. You're gonna have to overlook any jealous comments by Cederq.
