A truck driver in Fort Pierce, Florida made an insane illegal turn while driving on a busy highway and ended up killing three people.
The area the driver was using as for ‘official use only’ and he made the turn, crossing a busy lane to do it and one vehicle couldn’t stop and rammed right into and under the trailer of the big rig.
The driver is being charged with a homicide.

WPTV is learning more about a semi-truck crash that shut down the northbound lanes of the Florida Turnpike in Fort Pierce on Tuesday.
The Florida Highway Patrol is describing the wreck as a homicide investigation after three people were killed.
The crash led to the shutdown of all northbound lanes for several hours, causing significant traffic delays.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol’s crash report, a semi-truck was driving northbound in the right lane of the Turnpike as a Chrysler Town & Country minivan was traveling north in the Turnpike’s left lane.
From the right lane, the semi-truck attempted to make a U-turn at an “official use only” turn-around area near mile marker 171, crossing in front of the vehicle in the left lane.
The driver of the vehicle was unable to avoid the truck, wedging the minivan underneath the truck.
Witnesses and law enforcement observed tire marks at the scene where the semi attempted the illegal maneuver during the middle of the afternoon.
Two passengers inside the minivan, a 37-year-old woman from Pompano Beach and a 54-year-old man from Miami, died at the scene of the crash. The driver of the Chrysler, a 30-year-old man from Florida City, was flown to HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital, where he died from his injuries.
The driver of the semi and the passenger, both men in their 20s from California, did not sustain any injuries.
I’m glad they are making this a homicide investigation because he should absolutely be charged. As a commercial driver and a potentially heavy load in his trailer, he can’t be this stupid and get away with it.

DeleteThat's probably just normal driving back in his homeland. To which he should be returned via rear hatch of a cargo plane at 20k feet. Here in Texas we have a ton of illegals driving big rigs - the highways are horribly congested and dangerous ever since that NAFTA bullshit. My motorcycle motto is "everyone on the road is trying to kill you" has leeched over to my truck and car driving too. I keep a good amount of distance from every other vehicle. Part of my daily commute is past a very large cargo terminal and the trucks lined up on both sides of the road look like extras from Mad Max, beat up, dirty, engines blowing smoke and god only knows what kind of homicidal idiots behind the wheel.
ReplyDeleteYou're correct on your motto my friend. Some of the countries where these non-English speaking assholes come from don't have driving laws or they aren't obeyed. They don't even have lines dividing the lanes on the highway because why waste the paint ... nobody cares.
