Trump and Bondi are both continuing to sweep the issue under the ‘transparency’ rug.
On Tuesday, during a White House cabinet meeting with the press present, a reporter asked a question about the allegations that the late Jeffrey Epstein may have worked for a foreign intelligence service. President Trump's response was, shall we say, forceful - but some may find it surprising and unsatisfying.

The question:
Reporter: “Your memo and release yesterday about Jeffrey Epstein, it left some lingering mysteries. One of the biggest ones is whether he ever worked for a(n) American or foreign intelligence agency. The former Labor Secretary and Miami U.S. Attorney, Alex Acosta, he allegedly said that he did work for an intelligence agency. So, could you resolve whether or not he did? And also, could you say why there was a minute missing from the jailhouse tape?”
There was some cross-talk before President Trump made this statement:
President Trump: Pam, could I just interrupt for one second? (To the reporter): Are you still talking about Jeffrey Epstein? This guy's been talked about for years. You're asking... We have Texas, we have this, we have all of the things, and people are still talking about this guy, this creep? That is unbelievable. You want to waste the time?” (To AG Bondi): “You feel like answering?”
AG Bondi: I don't mind answering.
President Trump: “I mean, I can't believe you're asking a question about Epstein, at a time like this, where we're having some of the greatest success and also tragedy with what happened in Texas. It just seems, ah, like a desecration. But, you go ahead.
AG Bondi went on to describe the details of the missing minute of jailhouse tape, which she states was due to a daily reset of the surveillance system. She also referred to many hours of "sick" video found in the investigation, which she describes as "child porn" says will never (and should never) see the light of day. She also notes that she was asked about the Epstein client list in February, and at that time, the file was on her desk for review:
“…meaning the file along with the JFK MLK files, as well. That's what I meant by that.” Bondi
She went on to reply that she had no knowledge of Epstein possibly being an agent, presumably for the United States or any other power.
The Epstein case will go on being a major issue with voters. There are still many unanswered questions; there are still allegations about some pretty serious political figures' involvement. Sooner or later, all this will have to be resolved. We can understand President Trump's frustration at being asked about this now, given all that has happened in the last week, but there are still many outstanding questions about a case that could have enormous ramifications for the American political class.

WOW. Ah.....so yeah, I want to know; not the details, yee-sch I'm not that weird, but I do want to know WHO was involved.....and then I want to see someone, ANYONE perped walked in front of a judge....a tribunal....ANYTHING!!!
ReplyDeleteWhy do I need that? Let's just say that folks need to have a firm sense of rightness, correctness, emanating from their government. They need to know and see their government actively protecting their rights and the law.

I revolted me that Trump and Bondi acted so "uppity"? about us wanting to know who was involved. If it was Republicans, if it was Democrats, whatever, I don't care. I want people to go to jail. Even if they're not going to send people to jail, we deserve to know the names anydamnway. They promised to expose the cover-ups and the cover-uppers ... now they need to keep that promise. And, like you, I don't give a damn about the videos, I want the perps punished.

I never said that Trump, Bondi, and Patel were keeping the files hidden to protect pedos. Mainly because I've never believed that.

I might change my mind over minor issues if I am presented with convincing evidence but not on a whim.

Not to mention that we still don't know who are Epstein's unindicted co-conspirators. Who did the DOJ decide not to indicted back in the Bush administration?
The government is blocking the release of these documents. Yu can be for the victims of for the government. You can't be for both in this matter
