    Re. the Jay Leno thing - sure, don't cozy up too close to one side. But also, you gotta be funny. Something that Colbert has NOT been for a long time.

      I can't watch any of those late night people for extended periods. Years ago I did try to watch from time to time just to JUDGE. I never heard them saying anything funny even back then. When Carson and Leno got out, that business died.
