U.S. Air Defenses Intercept Iranian Missiles In Qatar

Al Udeid is the largest American military base in the Middle East.
The New York Times reports that Iran coordinated its attack on the U.S. airbase in Qatar with Qatari officials and provided advance warning.
According to the Times' source, Iran sought to deliver a symbolic response to President Trump’s strike on Iranian nuclear sites, while keeping the retaliation limited to allow for an “exit ramp” for all parties involved.
A senior advisor to Qatar’s Prime Minister condemned Iran’s missile attack on the U.S. Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, calling it a violation of the country's sovereignty.
“We consider this a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of the State of Qatar, its airspace, international law, and the United Nations Charter,” said Dr. Majed Al Ansari.
He added that Qatar “reserves the right to respond directly in a manner proportionate to the nature and scale of this brazen aggression, in accordance with international law.”
Air defenses at Al Udeid military base* successfully intercepted the Iranian missiles.
No American troops were killed or wounded in Iran's attack on a U.S. military base in Qatar, a U.S. official told Fox News.

*Qatar and US Military have both taken credit for intercepting the Iranian missiles. I choose to believe since the missiles were directed at the US base that they were most likely ones to shoot them down.

Saudi Arabia has issued an official response.
