Rep. August Pfluger (R‑Texas) snagged the MVP award for a jaw‑dropping, diving catch at third base in the first inning, a play that single‑handedly turned momentum and went viral.
The GOP erupted for five runs in the fourth and another eight runs spanning the fifth and sixth, including a two‑run double by Rep. Marlin Stutzman (R‑Ind.), sealing the Democratic doom.
This decisive 13‑2 victory furthers the Republicans’ impressive streak, pushing their all‑time series record to 47–42 in their favor.
