El Salvador Unveils New "Lunch With A Gang Member" Tourism Campaign

Tecoluca, El Salvador -- The El Salvadorian Tourism ministry unveiled a new advertising campaign today.  The campaign's central advertising theme "Lunch with a gang member" was officially launched this afternoon in Washington, DC and was directed mainly at Democrat members of the US congress.
Morena Ileana, the Minister of Tourism for El Salvador, spoke to the press at the Terrorism Confinement Center in Tecoluca today. "We have made El Salvador the safest place in this hemisphere. Tourists are now comfortable coming to visit. They love the friendly people here, they love our beautiful beaches and lovely forests. Recently, we notice that some congresspeople from Estados Unidos (US) have really been loving our hardened criminals and terrorists. We see many, many politicians from the US coming to see them, and wanting to talk to them, so we think 'we should offer them special deals, no?'"
Part of the tourism package includes an individual concierge that will help the congressperson with logistics and act as a tour guide throughout their stay. They will be familiar with gang hierarchy and the meanings of various tattoos. The visitors will also get a complete history of their dining companion, including all known crimes and victims - to act as conversation starters.
When asked about the political situation surrounding some of the returned gang members from the US, Ms. Ileana shrugged. "We don't understand why some judges in America want El Salvadorian citizens moved from their home here to live illegally there. But, as long as they want that, we think congressional tourists will keep coming here to spend American dollars."
She added quickly, "We train our staff to never call them stupid to their faces - not even in Spanish."
In a bold move to diversify their international humiliation portfolio, U.S. politicians are now flocking to El Salvador for a firsthand glimpse at what actual consequences look like.
The new “Bars & Briefings” package includes guided walks through overcrowded mega-prisons, selfie stations with tattooed inmates, and inspirational workshops on how to look tough without actually legislating anything.

  1. One caveat, the senators, after having toured the prison facility has to remain for the rest of their lives.

  2. I see that Gov. J.B. Pritzker of the Hyatt Hotel Chain isn't even giving the illegal immigrant visiting Democratic politicians or the loathsome press any break on the cost of staying in the new luxury Hyatt El Salvador hotel built a couple of years ago. Hopefully J.B. will make enough money to pay off some of the humongous debt Illinois has rung up to pay for all the illegal voters...oh!.ah!.no, .....undocumented new citizens. And yes, I've had too much caffine today.

    1. LOL. And if Pritzker makes any money he's not in the habit of sharing any of it ... that's the job of the taxpayers of Illlinois.
