Last Stent Procedure This Morning

We will be making a trip this morning to get the last of 5 stents placed in the wife. They are saying this one will be quicker than the rest so hopefully we'll be home by noon/oneish. Be glad to get this one done. After that probably several follow-ups to make sure they get all the funds that can possibly be gotten from the insura are working as they should. They said they want her there at 7:30. See you guys later.

  1. I had 4 put in and it wasn't that big an ordeal. Best of luck to the spousal unit anyways.

    1. Glad to hear that your procedure(s) weren't that big of an ordeal. You didn't mention if all of those were put in at once or what location(s) they were place. She has had 5 procedures, 2 in her lower legs, 2 in her groin area and one that is located somewhere near her lower gut, not sure exactly where. Those can't be completed in one procedure. She had 3 stents placed in her heart several years ago, all at one time, with no problems. But since it is my only spousal unit, the only one I will have from now on, and I love her more than life, it is a big ordeal to me. She has been and will be pampered beyond belief until I'm sure she's good to go again. I really appreciate your well wishes, it means much.

    2. You know, if you pamper her that much, she will continue to have stents placed... I am glad she is doing well, and you are to an extent. Take good care of her, she is the only one available... I too had 5 stents placed in my LAD artery in my heart, I had/have and cognitively abnormal small artery(only one thank God) and after the 5th one placed no more unstable angina, or SOB.

    3. So glad to hear that your 'SOB' has been taken care of as far as the angina is concerned. I was really nervous at first, when they started talking stents. Now, When I talk to people, it seems damn near everybody over a certain age has had multiple stents.
My wife is pretty much burnt out on the whole experience. She hates going to the hospital almost as much as I do.

  2. Hope your doctor had a great day. If he/she did, your wife will too,
