Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost

Was not intended to be the next Pope. Insiders reveal that the smoke coming from the conclave smokestack was from an unintended source.

I guess the best course of action now is for Christians to pray for the Pope that he will have a life transforming encounter with the Holy Spirit.

  1. He's Catholic so we have that going for us. He has also made public comments regarding immigration that are of the left variety so that's not so good. He is known for standing up against gay marriage so that is good.

    1. The best thing I can say about the man is that I've heard he's definitely pro-life. Most of his past comments/ideas line up with liberal Pope Francis and I don't like that, but I'm not Catholic so it doesn't affect my life.

    2. Yes, pro-life definitely a good thing and I don't recall a Pope that hasn't defended life. Hoping he stays out of the political arena and focuses and promotes the good things of the church.

    3. Pope Francis was certainly lenient towards abortion, no, he didn't praise it, but he didn't condemn it like the Catholic Church did in the past. That issue was brought up many times when he was asked about the Bidens receiving communion while they were legalizing abortion. I thought he was pretty limp on the issue of trans people in positions of authority in the church and several other issues. But I will end by saying that I agree with you that Catholics would be better served by a Pope who pushed the Bible instead of political issues.
