A military presence should have been down there since the mexican American war of 1848 guarding that border, even people back then knew mexico was a problem country.
ReplyDeleteI agree. It always seemed like a mistake to me that the US Government didn't preserve about a mile wide sector of land on both the borders of the US from the very beginning specifically to be able to monitor the border.
